New high tech carpeting and tile hits the market. What else is new out there?

Several manufacturers are now bringing to market high tech carpets and high tech tile. The new high tech tile includes light weight tile that makes it possible to have large and oversized tile on walls and because this new high tech tile is also strong it allows for oversized tile to be used on floors.

In the carpeting business, there is now new, high tech carpeting made with fibers that cannot be stained by pet urine or by certain foods. As recently as just a few months ago this kind of carpet was only a dream for pet owners and for families with sloppy eaters.

Today I saw a demonstration about how mustard will not stain a carpet -- and gobs of mustard was removed from a carpet with white vinegar, water and a white cloth. I remember years ago how mustard would permanently stain other carpets.
