The man given credit for much of the downtown rebirth on Fremont has passed. It appears from injuries suffered in a fire. Many of us can remember when walking down East Fremont was a risky adventure into an area filled with drugs, pro’s and more. Tony invested his Zappo’s money to purchase and rebuild much of it.

That is a shame and will be a real blow to the Las Vegas downtown revitalization.
He seemed to have backed off that and retired recently.
Just another case of life showing us we are guaranteed of nothing. Retired at 46 and thought he had many years to enjoy his money. Yet life has a way of laughing at our plans.
While most can’t or don’t do it, just another example of why we should try to appreciate everyday. And understand we can’t take it with us.

Quite sobering, super wealthy 46 year old, who appeared to be extremely healthy, should have lived another 40 or so years by all appearances, shitty variance.
