Gigantic fail on MGM's part.

They should have essential systems (such as electronic keys) which can run in an offline mode, just in case this sort of thing (or some outage) occurs. Same thing with the electronic ticket voucher system.

And the fact that restaurants can't operate in a manual reservation mode is just LOL.

Honestly, both the hotel reservation system and dining reservation system should also have an offline mode, where they operate away from the network using the last current data before being taken offline. That would still prevent new reservations for the hotel being made, but at least existing reservations would be usable, and the restaurants can operate manually like they did in the 2000s.

They made everything too dependent upon this central system controlling everything, which is a huge mistake in cyber security.

It would be like connecting all of your lights in your house to an app-controlled system, and then removing all of your manual light switches because you don't need them anymore. It's that stupid.

Ignore the "censoring" part of the tweet, as it appears these videos were just taken down from other platforms due to the "gambling" content.

But her story is interesting. Jen is one of those independent VIP hosts where you go to her if you want to get into clubs or whatever. I don't know her, but she also gets Vegas gossip and promotes her business that way.

More than an offline mode, I would suggest that there be an offline mode AND anything hotel operations should run on a totally separate system to begin with. I understand the need to handle comps, and everything like that, but I would imagine that the two systems would be able to communicate with one another, in some way.

Someone needs to hack OSN, Griffin, etc., and wipe out all of their information!

UNKewlJ already accomplished that, when he backed down from his claim that "KewlJ" was IN the OSN. We're just waiting for the follow up lying story about how he had it removed. ;)

And no way a two bit red to green player would ever make the Griffin book.

Well this is what happens when people want everything integrated. Can't remember which casino hotel it was but one of them had control of my room thermostat, and it was glitching and kept changing the temp?? Things don't need to be so complicated.

I see the MGM site still remains down. I can't imagine how much this must be costing them...

But wait there's more, Caesars was hit recently too. Likely got all Caesar's Rewards member personal info, SSs, etc... not good.

The ONLY people who need to worry about their SSN being hacked are people who have gotten handpays. So, if you've never gotten a handpay, your SSN is safe. :)
