A day for superstitions and casino craps.

Today is July 11, 2012 or 7-11-12 which are famous craps numbers.

Seven and eleven the "naturals" which are immediate winners in craps on the come out roll. Also immediate winners for new come bets.

Twelve, the biggest number with two six-sided dice and a favorite among players who play the "field bet" because it either pays double or triple "in the field" and as a straight up bet it pays 30 or 31 times your bet, depending on the casino.

Lucky 7 is a popular concept, betting the eleven or "yo" is a popular bet at the craps table.

Now add in the calendar numerals and you get a superstitious day to head to a craps table with positive numbers all over.

So will you play craps today? Will you be betting Yo's and midnight, and will you have lots of success with the 7's on the come out roll?

Some people might look at the year -- 2012 -- and consider it to have two craps numbers, the 2 and the 12. That would make today's date having four significant numbers, three of which are horn numbers and field numbers: 7-11-2-12. If you are really into numbers, then consider that 7 X 11 X 2 X 12 = 1848 and 1 + 8 + 4 + 8 = 21,
and 1 X 8 X 4 X 8 = 256, and 2 + 5 + 6 = 13 which may be lucky or unlucky, and 2 X 5 X 6 = 60 which is 5 X 12 or 5 of the big "midnights" in craps.

It's Friday, the 13th. Anyone going to the casino today?

I was playing poker at Hollywood Park until about 4 this morning. It totally skipped my mind that it was Friday the 13th. It wasn't a great night, but it wasn't bad. Played for 6 hours, and won $40 at a $100 no limit table. Gee, that works out to $6.66 per hour. Do you see the connection? 666 on Friday the 13th. LOL

I didn't go to any casino yesterday. I'm not superstitious, just littlestitious.
