For Boz and Monet -- The Riddler Struck Again!

Boz and monet -- hopefully one of you figured out last week's riddle. I will spell it out later today in the Sports and Sports Betting section. Boz, it's possible, after yesterday's results, that the odds for that riddle are blown to hell, but if you have access to numbers unaffected by yesterday's results (some offshores keep the old numbers up until Tuesday), I'd fire away now.

The Riddler, who has been somewhat unappreciated amidst the blowhards and "APs," has made money on every single posted wagering recommendation. A few have been small, razor's edge amounts, but most have been substantive.

The Riddler is hereby retiring permanently. He says, "Thanks for all the fish!" That's both a clever reference to a certain book and also a reference to the alleged expertise of the "AP" sports bettors on this site.

Where is it documented that you are a lifetimes winner? I suppose you have documented that you did well in some contests 30-40 years ago, but I see nothing that documents life long winnings. Documented refers to multi-year long-term betting records as in:

1) Tipsters or Gypsters?
2) Handicapper's Report Card
3) The Absolute Truth
4) The Wise Guys Contest (more than 20 years).
5) The PlayBook Newsletter

In addition, I have decades-long email records of clients whose money I handle. They got reportage of any wagers just before or (occasionally) a few minutes after kickoff. Everyone plugged into the same emphases gets the same plays, so there's no chance at trickeration, since many know each other.

The fact you don't know about the documentation history of sports handicappers suggests that you don't know much at all. I mean, that's the wild thing about the posters on this site. They claim all this expertise regarding something (video poker, slots, blackjack) that actually has very little money involved year-to-year, and absolutely no way to verify how people actually do, yet don't know the first thing about the history of sports betting and sports handicapping, when the sports betting literally dwarfs all the things alleged "APs" do combined.

Boz knows his stuff. Ask him if you get lost. He appears to be the only person on this forum who does know his stuff.

And while I don't know or claim to know about these different contests from 40 years ago, doesn't each of these sources listed only show what or how you did in that particular contest? So how is THAT "documented proof of a lifetime winner"?

BUT I will do as you recommend and ask Boz, someone I hold in reasonably high regard. Boz do you vouch for Redietz as a lifetime winning sporsbettor or handicapper? And lifetime winning really doesn't get to the bottom of it. Someone could be a lifetime winner at $100. So Boz, do you vouch for Redietz as a lifetime Professional handicapper sports picker, meaning made his living from that for decades?

And just to be clear, I am not really questioning that. My own opinion is and has always been that Red probably did make his living in sportsbetting in different manners. But, he is directing us to you Boz to vouch for him, so lets hear it.

1) Yeah, Billy Walters hired me because he heard it from a guy in an alley that I won. Or was that a pool hall?
2) I completely forgot about being vetted for Who's Who in Sports Gambling back in 1984. Rick Hall, who put together and published that book via Hall Publishing and Gamblers' Book Club, was a Born Again dude who wouldn't include anyone who smelled bad.
3) There's more objective "evidence" that I won lifetime than exists for Bob Dancer or Richard Munchkin. You might want to challenge them while you're at it.

Red, YOU are the one that used the term "documented life-long winner". None of what you have said since, including using Boz as a reference, is documentation of a life-long winner. Many years of tax returns would be one such documentation. But I don't think emails or a contests listing of results for that year, is such documentation.

But if you are offering it up, offer up something that really is proof or documentation of a lifetime winner. verified tax returns are one. I don’t always agree with RED on stuff, mostly the “anonymous” stuff on forums. If you are selling something, I get it but for what we do especially the AP’s staying low key makes sense. But also avoiding these places, especially when someone gets the shit you do, also makes sense to some degree.

And I believe RED isn’t totally honest with his disgust with bonus whoring using surrogates because I find it hard to believe he never did it. Maybe he gets upset because HE was exploiting off shores 3+ decades ago when they first cane onto the scene, and trust me the opportunities then were far more than anything you or anyone is doing today. Maybe he’s bitter everyone knows about it now and 3-4 years ago was the new golden age of bonuses. I believe he has forgotten more about sports betting than most know. That’s a compliment.

Anyways, I’m not sure of the exact question, but yes I believe RED has made a living in the sports handicapping business for decades. And the vast majority of that money came from his own wagers and contests, not selling picks or commissions from syndicates, or even booking. I can’t say what his winning percentage is, but I do know RED makes the most of that percentage of wins than almost anyone out there. Which is an huge skill in itself. Some of the stuff he touches on here at times goes against the grain but if you dig deeper and do the math, it makes sense. Again, if you don’t understand what I’m saying, you don’t get what he does at times.

So as for vouching, I’ll say I’d bet good money he has done exactly what he has stated. I just don’t think he’s totally honest to the forums on everything he does.

And I’ll still never understand why he didn’t pay those taxes on time.��

It’s a pissing contest that in the end never happens as you said. Everyone ends up dumber for even discussing it.

As for contest results, they can mean nothing or everything. Look at the 2 Circa contests and tell me what you deduct from the final results of each. And think about how much hedging goes on.

Yeah, he is not going to like this paragraph much....BUT BINGO! Dude seems agitated that other people, people who call themselves "advantage players" rather than sports handicappers are doing things in the field of sports betting to play with an advantage. And some of the things they are doing are things he has done for years. It is just now, he is "hey that is MY area. get off my lawn". :D

But I will make this final statement about Red's comments today. Included just after his "documented lifelong winner" comment was a little something he slipped in about "occasionally having the need to show off".

Not asking you specifically Boz, but can someone, maybe you Red point to where you really showed off anything? Monet love him or hate him (I doubt many if anyone really loves him) but regardless what you think of him, he puts himself and his picks out there for all to see. As does Druff. Sometimes they look silly, like Druff missing an over by 40 points. or Monet going a pretty incredible 0-9. If you bet sports those things happen.

Red, I rarely if ever have seen you do that. Most we get from you is late in the year when some team is in the hunt, you tell us that you have that team at 40-1 from 5 months before? Or lately we get you telling us the day after about how you won a game and it is a live teaser with the second part now open. But you tell us that the day after the first half won. :D

If you really want to show off and impress, make some picks. Find your best games and make some picks BEFORE the games are played. There is no shame in being wrong either. As a recreational player/bettor, I lost way more games than won. And as an advantage players, betting sports with an advantage (bonuses), I lose more games than I win. I don't share my picks because I am not trying to show off or impress anyone. As a matter of fact, I would strongly suggest anyone that wanted to follow me to fade me.

But if you want to impress or "show off" Red, then step up to the plate, monet style.
