On another gambling Website, I mentioned that one of my top fears about Casinos are shootings happening. I mentioned about the possibility of someone getting pissed that they lost all their money gambling and shooting innocent Players in their rage over losing their money. For some reason, my thread got ZERO replies although I am sure LOTS of other people have this same exact fear. I am grateful that Hialeah Park Casino does weapon/bag checks at every entrance to prevent shootings in the Casino.
It is not JUST casinos, it is bigger than that. I don't know where it comes from but there is a definite effort to minimize most crime stories especially involving the strip of downtown touristy areas. And the media is part of this effort or goes along with it. Las Vegas understands its bread and butter is tourism and any negative stories are bad for the economy. That said, some things like shooting are just not possible to suppress.
KJ, given that, and given all the amateur sleuths and podcasters, I'm a bit surprised someone doesn't have a website where they post and / or summarize all of the incidents which LVPD responds to on the Strip and also Downtown.
Surely this is public info: someone need only collect, organize and disseminate it to Ma and Pa Kettle.
But there would be little profit in it nor any way to scam others so I can understand why nobody seems to do it....I mean, really: who wants to help others for free, eh?
