Evan Glusman, son of Piero's founder/owner, arrested for stealing $1.5m via fraudulent loan, then threatening to kill people
Piero's is a well known, high-end Italian restaurant on the corner of Paradise and Convention Center, fairly close to the Westgate (former LV Hilton).
It originally opened in 1982 near downtown on Karen Ave, founded by Freddie Glusman. Five years later, in 1987, Freddie moved it to its current location, which took over the space which housed a different Italian restaurant, Villa D'Este.
In 1995, the movie "Casino" featured Piero's.
At the time of Piero's founding, Freddie Glusman's son Evan was just 3 years old. Today he's 46, and is in a whole heap of trouble.
Evan was the operating manager of Piero's. According to TV station KLAS, which broke the story, Evan took out a $1.5 million loan against Piero's in September 2024, claiming to be the owner of the restaurant. In reality, it was still wholly owned by Evan's father Freddie, and Evan had no ownership himself. Freddie also had no idea Evan was taking this loan. When he found out in mid-April 2025, he was furious, and fired Evan.

But it got worse from there.
Evan, who did not take the firing well, allegedly texted a Piero's manager, "I hope you realize I’m drinking and I’m going home to get a gun and fucking kill them in the middle of Piero’s" on April 25.
When Evan heard that police had been called as a result of the threat, he called the restaurant and spoke with officers. It's not clear what was said.
He was arrested the following day by a SWAT team at his home. He was charged with harassment and making terrorist threats.
Amazingly, he only had to post $20k bail, and is now out with an ankle monitor.
He has not yet been charged regarding the $1.5m loan, but that is likely to occur, as well. Court documents regarding the loan state, "Evan Glusman provided outdated, inaccurate, and/or altered trust documents to the financial institution in support of the loan application, thereby misrepresenting his legal authority over the trust and the property."
