As we can see, someone asks a question and I answered it. I might add that I answered it pretty well and came up with a pretty creative way to get to the solution, which anyone can follow and do for themselves, no computer programming experience needed.
To be clear, that's not to denigrate anyone who uses computer programming to answer questions like these; I simply do not know how to program. If I did, then I would use that ability to answer these sorts of questions.
After this, we see that this dog, Tuttigym, comes sniffing around my crotch for no reason other than to make his point, for the 1,000,000th time, that math totally sucks, brev.
So, what's the point?
I guess I'll probably use the answer that I typed for an article somewhere, thereby making at least some money for the effort, but I could do that anyway and without ever interacting with anyone if I wanted to.
So, I suppose the short answer is that I don't see Forum participation as a recreational activity simply because talking to other people is generally not fun for me and tends to be even less fun on the forums.
That's not to say there aren't people I enjoy talking to. I would say I enjoy talking to a simple majority of the participants, but the cost/benefit is such that I'd generally rather abstain if the purposes are recreational and meant to be enjoyable...because the annoyance caused by the few outweighs the enjoyment of the company of the many, usually.
More succinctly, I'm probably about halfway to the finish line we all must eventually cross and generally don't have time for the bullshit of nonsensical people.

But here's a MrV legal question of sorts. I don't have a problem adhering to the pronoun of whatever gender someone decides they want to be in the here and now. For example, I prefer Them, an homage to that sci-fi classic with the giant ants. But how can a person who was one gender for Time A and transitioned to a different gender in Time B expect to be able to impose a pronoun on the past? If you dealt with someone who was a "he" for 20 years, and you are referring to past events, how can it be wrong to use the pronoun the person was at the time of the events?
The idea that a person can impose a pronoun after the fact of events seems like spoiled narcissism to me, and also legally incorrect. Nobody has the power to alter past reality, to impose changes upon actual history based on present preferences. Shouldn't a person adhere to self references that are accurate to the gender at the time of described events?
