The bar in the pic used to be known as the Hooker Bar as that is where you met the hookers at night.

Someone needs to slow him down and get him to just park his money in something long, and leave it be.
Of, course once he does that the market will start dropping. We should start calling him Unlucky Looney.
https://i.imgur.com/W79Luokm.jpg
Seriously though, I'd like to help the guy, guide him at least a little, but I can't communicate with him as he's at WOV and I'm not.
Read some more of his posts over the years, he’s a lunatic. You tip more at dinner than he has “invested”. He’s been a bottom feeder for years and always looking for the long shot winner when gambling. It’s where his name came from years ago on slot forums.
Nothing wrong with trying to help someone like him but giving a bum on the side of the road $5 would be more productive.
OneNickel is a eccentric younger version, more polished Fleastiff.
AMZN hit a new all-time high today.
CMG hit all-time high today too. And they're not even open yet for dine in!
Today was a day when you definitely had to average in, at least if you were trading long as I was.
Yesterday at the market I got some steak - albeit high end, 100% grass fed, but it wasn't prime dry aged and yet the ribeye cost $20. a pound, and the filet mignon (tenderloin) $25.
Given these prices, how much will steaks cost at high end restaurants when Vegas reopens? In March 2020: the 20 oz. bone-in ribeye at Delmonico's was $60. - the 16 oz. split bone rib eye at Blue Ribbon, $67. and $92.95 for a 22 oz. dry aged bone in ribeye at Bavette's ($69.95 for Bavette's Chicago cut 16 oz ribeye).
Meat prices have dropped a bit at the supermarket in the past week but are higher than they were in March. Given higher prices and scarcity for red meat, will these already high prices for a top Vegas restaurant steak also go through the roof? If you're on a full comp you don't really even glance at the menu prices other than to feel satisfied that you're getting something on the house, but still - not everyone in the restaurant is on a full comp, and given the fear of dining in public post-coronavirus in the first place, will people additionally be willing to subject themselves to potential infection seated at a restaurant AND overpay for that privilege?
The Vegas casinos really are gearing up to re-open. Yes I am starting to receive the Welcome Back emails but besides that is what is going on behind the scenes....
I monitor my personal and casino credit closely. I get a free copy of my casino credit usually about once a year, although sometimes not as often since not much changes in there.
I had been waiting for a new copy for a couple of months, and then today I got the call from the bureau that casino credit had opened, they had updated my profile, and would send me out a new report.
Things are bumpy in the Nasdaq market, but the DOW remains strong.
After dropping as low as 5.5 it's now at 7.5. My target though is more like 19 for GE.
AMZN was breathtaking today. I bought trading shares long at 2388 and 2351. I overdid it, as I just couldn't see it staying down there, and at one point, when I looked, I was down over two hundred grand just like that. I wasn't really worried though it just seemed like there was no reason for it to have dropped this much, today. I was going to drop 1000 of the shares and hold the rest until at least tomorrow, but turned out there was no need. Now it's well into the green for me, as we're back over 2400 and then some.
That's the thing about being long on a stock like AMZN...no need to panic it always eventually comes back. Today it came back rather quickly.

Those who click to the D Las Vegas site will be connected with a D Las Vegas concierge who will complete the flight booking. Obviously, casino owner Derek Stevens prefers those who enter the campaign to stay at the D or Golden Gate. But tourists may also book the flight and stay at another Vegas hotel. The offer does not extend to Stevens’ under-construction Circa, scheduled to open in December.
Looks like some people are willing to go to Vegas....

Isn't Richard Wilk the head casino marketing guy at The D? They actually have some high end players?
Guess that's cheaper than running a bunch of commercials. That guy is good at thinking on his feet.
WOV is trying to seem elitist, making people who get suspended or banned want to get back in there, and jump through hoops for the privilege.

But we're doing just fine here at Delta House and don't need all them rules and regs.

We were in Palm Desert on business, and while in the area I stepped into Morongo which is one of the larger and nicer Indian casinos in southern Cal, although nothing to compare with anything good in Vegas. I went in alone for a commando photo raid – she waited in the car with the A/C running – this was more my thing than hers, she doesn’t really even like casinos, other than mostly for the spas and fitness facilities.

Clearly they were expecting, or had experienced, a line to enter, but on this Thursday afternoon, no wait to get in at all.
https://i.imgur.com/bFYAuWsl.jpg
There is a Covid-19 warning on the way in,
https://i.imgur.com/cHtIowUl.jpg
advising that the pool, spa and buffet are closed, and that you must keep your mask on,
and social distancing markers, each one six feet apart, on the ground.
https://i.imgur.com/WRctA7ol.jpg
This is the entrance area
https://i.imgur.com/YFABAuXl.jpg
and the lady in blue with black pants facing the door asks you to remove your mask, which I thought was for some kind of temperature check, but turns out is for, unless I am mistaken completely, a digital camera picture. I do not know what they were looking for with that one, but after she took my picture she said simply, “You’re good” and waved me in. The deputy sheriff stands guard next to her.
Inside some of the slots are “socially distanced” with plexiglass barriers,
https://i.imgur.com/AdUMyLDl.jpg
https://i.imgur.com/1F20oTxl.jpg
others create separations by being turned off, every other machine,
https://i.imgur.com/sgymlbBl.jpg
still others seem to offer no social distancing measures at all, and are all turned on in a row, same as always.
https://i.imgur.com/ZenRWXPl.jpg
The tables games utilized no plexiglass, but had three per table seating only, to keep people apart.
https://i.imgur.com/1WatT76l.jpg

https://i.imgur.com/ZRIbz3ll.jpg
There were more than a few completely empty table game sections.
https://i.imgur.com/OaaeSGwl.jpg
https://i.imgur.com/qX4gYSTl.jpg
I did notice a few people with clear plastic cups drinking some beverage or other. I didn't stay long enough to figure out whether these were self serve.
According to the sign by the entrance, smoking is allowed and you may remove your mask to smoke, but I did not observe anyone smoking.
The restaurants – not all were open – had tables moved pretty far apart.

https://i.imgur.com/mBSbi7Il.jpg
There are sanitizers around, including this one on the way out.
https://i.imgur.com/BJxDv9Dl.jpg
And the exit –
https://i.imgur.com/1EC6DRvl.jpg
courthouse, airport terminal, or amusement park style, is an exit only – no reentry. Hmm, so is that what the camera was for? that once your pic is taken you’re not allowed back in for a while? That doesn’t really make a lot of sense, but I didn’t stay long enough to find out.
This might be something like what we have in store in Vegas.
Over all, other than the check on the way in, a touch of plexiglass here and there and the distantly spaced restaurant tables, you might not even have noticed the three per table game only spacing - besides the MASKS, it might have just passed for an uncrowded afternoon at any casino.
I just don't see people finding an experience like those pictures portray having any entertainment value. These casinos are going to have to figure out something quick.
I would agree - what you allude to is what the pictures themselves don't precisely convey, which is a general low energy dullness to the whole place.
I believe that you asked me before why anybody would post up fakery. I could list up multiple reasons but never mind that for now....
From this latest episode alone, it just goes to show that a bunch of pictures posted up can be totally meaningless, especially when it comes to people claiming wealth and gambling prowess. Look at all the great lengths Rob went to in order to prove his claims. He went so far as to have an interview, he went out of his way to find a high ebd RV place(okay, not actually that far away, but you get the point) and pose in an RV and claim it was his own, then he actually made a fake receipt.... and that's just the highlights.
The more pictures of that crap people post up, the less likely it's true. Most likely, it's exactly the opposite.
MDawg, thanks for posting the pictures. I always enjoy your stories and photos.
I went to my local casino this last Monday for the first time just to check it out. My casinos haven’t done much either, other than just allow 3 people per table.
All the table games were the same; you could still hold the cards and nothing was changed with the chips. They didn’t put up any plexiglass barriers between slots or table games. No slots had been removed. It looked like anybody could play on any slot they wanted to. Other than a slow day and a couple people wearing masks, nothing much had changed.
In my area I think things will return back to normal pretty quickly.
Straight out of left field Axel posts something about Rob after I post pictures of a southern CA casino’s post-coronavirus opening?
Rather than go down that rabbit hole I’ll just say definitively that close to 100% of Axel’s posts are Monday morning quarterback remarks by someone who’s never held the ball.
But there was one post out of the thousands I’ve seen from Axel that was worth something - the one about how he was burned on the bitcoin transfer because some virus on his computer altered the string when he pasted it. Every time I copy/paste a wallet identifier for a client’s incoming payment I now think about what happened to him and am even more vigilant than I ever was with bitcoin payment requests. I thank him for that post. But - I was already doing this. I have always first pasted the wallet identifier to a MSFT Word work file and then to the message being sent to the client requesting payment, after being very careful to compare the paste to the original before re-pasting it to send to the client.
In other words all those posts by Axel minutely examining in his mind the affairs of others and yet a demonstrated sloppiness in the handling of his own business.
Bob - I don't actually see things returning to normal anytime soon, and this goes for the world in general not just casinos. One thing I noticed is that the majors in Vegas have declared that their fitness centers and spas will be re-opening too. lol I'd almost go to Vegas just to be able to get back into the gym!
I also noticed at WOV that the Wizard posted a list of the casinos opening and left out every major.
https://i.imgur.com/DvsxJYgl.png
Obviously the guy is not on the email/mailing lists of any casinos - seems very out of touch, does he even go into casinos or follow what is going on with them any longer? and no he wasn't just giving he Boyd list he actually thought that was the complete list of all casinos opening June 4th in Vegas! - or does he just wait for someone to bring something to him and then crunches the numbers to post data about some new game. I had to correct him on the odds on Baccarat side bets and he still hasn't corrected the data.
The casinos listed in Wizard's post are all Boyd properties.
Thanks for posting the pics, MDawg. Here in the Gulf South things are much more relaxed. All casinos are required to have every other slot machine turned off. A couple places are using the plexiglass but they're in the minority. Temperature checks are mandatory in Louisiana but optional in Mississippi... a couple places do them anyway, most don't.
Masks optional everywhere (at least for customers... mandatory for employees) and I would say mask usage amongst patrons ranges from 50-60% in the two New Orleans area casinos to under 30% in the Mississippi coast casinos.
Not much social distancing is taking place, and there's really no way to enforce it anyhow.
Does this Wizard follow this forum? :D. Allasudden sua sponte he came up with the right answer.

All you do is give me answers.
Just give me the right answer.
One of my hosts says that he expects his hotel on the Strip to be dead on the weekdays, more crowded on the weekends, with general light traffic for at least the next three months.
We're not in any hurry to return....
Market doesn't seem to care too much about the riots over the weekend.
We did start off at -280 DOW futures yesterday, but headed steadily towards the green from there!
Palms isn't even opening this week. All the rest of the places I play at in Vegas, are.
I haven't actually seen much in the way of special offers yet beyond the usual full RFB comp - which I get anyway, at all times - other than this one from Wynn/Encore
https://i.imgur.com/JVbgk7em.png
which is for a $1000. gift card as long as you stay and play by June 30th. The play requirement is just that you play, not any particular amount.
Most of the resorts seem to be rescinding the paid parking, and some of the lower end resorts like Sahara are waiving resort fees, but I don't pay for any of that anyway.
The offer was made to me - they know I'm a solid player. Basically the offer is - arrive by end of June $1000., arrive after June, $500.
Axel - you make thousands of posts about how you "think" things should be. How about some posts about things that you have some direct personal knowledge, or holding back on the unsubstantiated opinion a little when it comes to things of which you have no personal knowledge.
I didn't say how I "think" things should be. I read the wording and usually when something is worded like that, they do expect you to play a certain amount. If they do not, they would have just said, we're doubling your offers and not said mention anything about any extra play requirement. However, you are correct, I don't know what they're thinking right now and I don't know about your personal offers.
I just don't believe that if you run in and make a single minimum table bet they're going to say you earned the extra $500.
I'm sure there are others that got a similar offer with the same exact wording and we can find out, but of course you're going to claim your special and they don't require YOU to do it.
Whatever the case, for the high level of player as you claim to be that's actually pretty crappy f****** offer. I got bigger offers than that back in the day and that was only after a few days of playing actual+ EV stuff. For months(using it sparingly) we got whatever we asked for from a host without any questions or further play, including over 8k worth of walk in private table/ bottle service at the club. We stiffed them on playing every single time.
Even after those comps dried up, me am I girlfriend(at the time) got invited to their tournaments quite frequently, perhaps every month or every other month, I think they we're $50,000 giveaways, that included two 2-4 free buffets each(we got a little tired of their buffet and ended up selling most of them to the same person every time ), I can't remember the exact details of everything now, since I didn't run around taking pictures and documenting every aspect like some people do. They didn't offer us rooms, unless we specifically asked, because we were locals. I didn't really want to ask anyways, since I didn't want to tip them off that they were still giving us that stuff. We did fairly well in the free tournaments and drawings overall. We cash for thousands a few times, if I recall correctly, they usually gave us at least a $100 up to $250 in freeplay.
Coincidentally, I wrote about the fact that we were still getting good stuff from there after years without ever playing again, and I'll be damned if it didn't end soon after. Facepalm* I'm sorry if this isn't coherent enough for you, I don't have time to go back and read it, unfortunately/ fortunately however you look at it, I have to go at the casino.
What I gathered from that ramble was that whatever experiences you had in the past weren't worth documenting. But now you've made the additional point that whatever you write today isn't worth reading!
One thing I did surmise is that you're saying that a thousand dollar gift card offer is weak - which you didn't understand did you, because...that was my point exactly!
One of these posters is completely believable, in almost everything he says, in regards to advantage play, the other is not. You be the judge.
Judge of what. ;). The day Axel posts something that is not incoherent and that actually says something we may judge it. Tens of thousands of posts and no proof or clear outline of anything he has ever done. Tens of thousands of posts merely commenting on what others have done is close to 100% of his posts.
That's all it takes to earn your respect? hey if you want to live by the adage of "I merely comment, I do nothing myself," then why don't you move in with him into his little condo, because that is all his advantage play has earned him, by his own admission. Which there is nothing wrong with being only modestly successful in life - unless you've achieved little and keep commenting on what others have done as if you know something about it, then, you bring it upon yourself that you must be judged.
If indeed he has done something I would be the first to respect him if he would actually outline anything he has ever done, instead of spending almost all his time commenting on what others have done.
Like one knowledgeable AP, drama queen has posted numerous times in the past, it's not very difficult, to discern, who knows his shit and who's full of it, in regards to advantage play.
By now, if you've been online long enough, you should also know then that a consistent story that doesn't contradict itself over the years is believable too.
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.
My bet is you go, lay one bet and walk away. And they will give you the doubler. But your “friend” the host will be calling you quickly to see why you didn’t play more. And your next offer won’t be anything close to this one.
That said, I hope you take them for 50x the offer in winnings. Don’t let up on them and get triple the offer the next time.
I'd agree with that. I got burned once before speculating about the legitimacy of a baccarat player's claims. I have a hard time digesting your overall successful trip rate and a lot of the stock trading claims. However, you have given nothing but supporting evidence to your claims and the story has remained consistent.
Before someone tries to make hundreds of dollars again off me. The answer is NOPE:D
:D:D:D:D:D
I saw some of what that other Bacc player (Bacccarat9 or something like that?) posted at WOV. As I recall he had deleted a lot of posts and said something about so and so told me to delete them.
Also SiegfriedRoy - he deleted his entire story about winning the million in BJ. That was very suspect too. Now, Axel came in here at VCT and said that he found out that SiegfriedRoy was a fraud but could not remember why. That - I can't abide. If it's not worth remembering how could it be worth even saying? Maybe SiegfriedRoy was a fraud, maybe he was not, but without the reason, and Axel's merely saying that he unearthed the fraud, that's not enough.
I probably will meet up with someone off this or that forum at some point. Who knows it might even end up being Axel. I don't really have anything against him he just rubs me the wrong way sometimes when he comes in and comments on something as if he knows something about it, when it seems that he has little or no personal experience with it.
:p
They just know that the people they send these offers to are going to play. Unluckily for them I'm not the type to sit glued at the table and play constantly and I will go home with my winnings, but I will give them some action not just one bet.
But yes if I don't play enough that same host will probably send me a text.
I should get hold of my friend who was living at Encore. After the disaster hit he eventually had to move out and he never even flew home ended up renting a place and staying in Vegas all this time. I would assume that he is back there now, inside Encore, I should get a report on how it is.
https://i.imgur.com/C5FGMdvm.jpg
Or, you could post pics of your condo to try to prove that you don't live in North Vegas!
They're talking about you again out there today Axel, but this time it's not about how you live in North Vegas.
https://i.imgur.com/dyLSIEv.png
Seriously though - what is with you and dresses? (That's "dresses" not "North Vegas ad-dresses."). I've heard about how you showed up drunken to meet someone from these forums and passed out in the car, I've heard about how you live in North Vegas, and I've heard about how you cross dress. I've heard that...a lot! These are all the trademarks of a serious AP who should be taken seriously. Soitenly!
AMZN was down as much as -22 in the pre-, now green! I didn't jump on that though, I was stuck in a decent sized NFLX trade from yesterday that I was lucky to get out of at a small profit at 415.5 today, otherwise it was going to be all held until next week.
You may see what my thinking was though.
https://i.imgur.com/tS38r0Rl.png
I was thinking to buy another 1000 shares at 405 but then I got too chintzy and lowered it to 403. The 403 never filled as the low in the pre- was 404 and change, but the 405 would have filled...and then I would have made a good chunk. Oh well. I still made money and I was down well over five grand on that "little" 669 share trade from yesterday in the pre- at one point.
Yesterday I got a partial fill only at 669 and managed to eke out 1 pt today. I almost was gonna dump a couple hundred of my very long term NFXL shares too but let go of that idea. 419.50 was overly optimistic anyway. I think NFLX will recover sooner rather than later.
The big play right now is airline stocks, just FYI. I did not get in yesterday and have not held any airline stocks in years.
This just goes to show you what happens sometimes when you are buying large blocks...you get partial fills. Of course this had to do with that I was trying to get the rock bottom of that moment yesterday, but as soon as I got the partial fill of 669/1000 I cancelled the balance. This is a good strategy (usually) as typically when you get a partial fill the stock later crosses back down lower, which it did...big time! but luckily recovered to the 415.5 I needed today to make some money.
Since I am between stock trades at the moment, I am getting ready to post at that useless, ploppie site, right now!...which has a far superior forum software to VCT and WOV, and tons more traffic than VCT. Over here (and at WOV) hundreds of thousands visit MDawg's thread but over there...close to a half million hits!
Well, over 20 people from the forums have actually been to my house, so there is no reason for me to post up pictures or give out my address publicly.
Aside from that, a significant number of people have actually seen me playing in casinos with significant amounts of money. I've made many significant business transactions with multiple people on the forums. How many actual people have you even met from the forums, let alone, seen you play a single dollar on anything?
I have no idea what that fool is talking about or insinuating, it's pretty far out in left field. I'm not sure why I'd want free one way tickets to Las Vegas when I already live here. I almost never visit that site. But I feel honored he's talking about me.
Wait a minute - I thought that was my line (and Bela Lugosi's), that there is no such thing as bad press?
And there ya' have it...NFLX just hit 420. My original thought of 419.5 for today was right on. But that's the way the market tricks people, is by shaking loose some shares, and then running it right back up. At least it almost never tricks me into selling at a loss - just selling too cheap. ;)
Treasure Island Vegas suing insurance carrier over coronavirus related losses
https://www.8newsnow.com/news/local-...ndemic-losses/
T.I.'s policy was from March 2019 - March 2020, and they filed the claim, which was denied, the day before the policy expired. Losses claimed were $850 million in property damage and $327 million in business due to coronavirus.
Claim was denied, and T.I. is going to court over it. It's actually nice to see a heavy taking on an insurance company for failing to pay a claim, but given that T.I. closed on March 18th, is this $1.1B just for the losses for those 14 days they were closed in March 2020, before the policy lapsed?
I'd assume that T.I. bound another policy for the next one year period, so why not a larger claim for the period April 1 - June 4, 2020, that they were closed, with whatever carrier they could find for that more recent period - unless, maybe no one would bind them while they were closed, or anyone who did bind them for that period excluded up front any coronavirus closure related loss claims?
Further down the toilet - the lowest Alexa rank I have ever seen for WOV. To recap, at the height of the Adventures of MDawg thread, before my WOV suspensions started in 2019, WOV Alexa rank was around 77K. Once I was suspended, dropped straight down to around 200K, got back up to around 174K in mid March 2020, when my thread was back, and then ever since MDawg was suspended, it's been a very steady downhill.
https://i.imgur.com/o4VbUZPl.jpg
The Rob Singer thread and the return of KewlJ to WOV have not helped WOV traffic whatsoever.
Alot of people got fed up with being treated like some kid with all the stupid rules too.
There are many reasons why people left, but the bottom line is they left. And the Wizard refuses to understand why because he is a stubborn ass.
Still not sure why he decided to bring KJ back but since it meant so much to KJ I wouldn’t rule out a cash payment “under the table”. Not many other reasons make sense based on his history and his “one of two people dead to me” comment.
And I get many of you are friends and business associates of him. But his online persona is one of an angry little perverted man.
I thought Alexa rankings was updated regarding the three months previous?
Whatever the case.
You can easily manipulate your Alexa rank by creating a JavaScript function to loop through an array of page addresses from your website. The trick is to get each address to open in a separate window. Then, have the function loop back to the beginning once it reaches the end. This is how some people manipulate their Alexa Rank without actually generating more traffic.
Whenever you're over there posting you are probably generating all that extra traffic yourself and let's not forget there are Bots that can also help with the task.
Why thank you Axel, that you believe me capable of doing all that. Unfortunately all you did by posting what you just did is show how little you understand about any of this, because if there were a way to do it, the way would not be how you describe. Maybe you should go into the SEO field and offer to do what you just suggested and see if anyone will pay you a nickel for your services after they're done laughing in your face.
But still, with MDawg gone, why is WOV going steadily down the toilet? Do I have the capability to REVERSE traffic too?
I actually think on a good day, Axel might not be such a bad guy.
But what's my word against everyone else's?
https://i.imgur.com/mnJSfpt.png
It's not surprising the standard of evidence you require is substantially low, and you conciser a few people(in this case one) "everyone else".
Talk about hypocritical, Freddy has been giving up-to-the-minute live WOV live updates while trying to confront everyone on the same form for years while basically talking to himself.
I've been sitting in bed on my computer on live voice chat with multiple other people on many occasion while my wife has come in to the room asking me what I wanted to eat and then bringing it to me sometime later. A simple one, one, and one means one piece of toast, one egg, one piece of bacon and lots of hash browns.(as a matter of fact, she just bring me a piece of Boston cream pie, just before she headed out to the garage for her 2 hour workout)
He can say whatever he wants but whatever he's insinuating, it's just silly. In the last 19 hours I went and played pickleball with friends, went shopping with my wife, resumed construction on a little waterfall where I laid and sculpted about 2 square feet of rock and cement, moved and replanted some herbs, picked up free play at a casino, I played a poker tournament, and profited about $1,400 online. I repaired a laptops plug-in Jack I picked up for $4o that's now worth about $180. Keep trying buddy, eventually you'll come up with something solid.
Do you always try to counter criticism by conceding most everything people have said against you? ;) ;);)
Let's start with...if I'm up at 4am it's to place a pre-market trade not to confront someone at a forum.
Depending on what I'm doing, I normally sleep about 6 hours a day split up 2 to 4 hours at a time, I have no set schedule, it's always changing. I could just be waking up at 4 a.m. or I could just be turning in at 4 a.m. If I can recall correctly, I didn't head out of my house to the casinos until after 9 p.m. I set up flood lights made out of cracked flat screen TVs outside so I can do stuff out there at night when it's super hot during the day. I can't recall exactly what time it was when I got in the house. At 4 a.m. I was playing poker online, surfing the web and winding down getting ready for another 3 hours of sleep.
If the value of your stock portfolio dating from the highs of Feburary isn't worth at least as much, if not more, today...something's wrong!
My portfolios are worth actually quite a bit more today than in February, albeit partly due to trading, but mostly due to the value of my long terms rebounding so nicely. There is still some room to go on some of my long term stocks though to recapture their exact February highs.
The American stock market, if anything, remains quite durable!
You're not giving any credit to the +$6 trillion injection looking for a home?
How many pounds of beef will your portfolio buy today compared to February?
To be clear I'm not discounting the resiliency of the market. I'm just trying to get the whole picture. Many countries in the midst of economic collapse experience exceptional stock market gains.
Well, the argument that our economy is actually very bad, and is being bolstered by Disneyland dollars, has been kicked around for years now - and might even be true, but for whatever reason people keep buying stocks! (And real estate, and about anything else of investment value they may get their hands on.)
I wasn't aware I was supposed to try to increase traffic at any forum. That is not my goal or reason for participating anywhere. Anyone obsessed with that as you seem to be, has some sort of ego issue it would seem to me. BUT, I thought that before you made this statement. :D
Agreed....What else are people going to do with them?
But you really didn't answer my question. Do you feel like you are truly winning or just treading water during the last few years of exceptional results? When I measure the results it seems like a nominal win at best. But that's just my opinion.
Having gotten very heavily into the market in 2006 -2007, been cut in half around 2008-2009, and sold nothing (if anything, just bought more and more ever since), I can't think in terms of just the past few years.
If you mean, that I've benefitted from the bull run of the past 11 years, still, also, I held through the collapse of 2008.
So if you think about it along those lines, it's more a testament to the U.S. economy in general, than any particular short term run, that has made money for me and anyone else who has held long term in the market.
We got a little sell off going on. The highs of yesterday's close were really something, especially for the Nasdaq stocks.
AMZN already jumped though...it was 2580s in the pre- (as low as 2575), now back over 2600 again, if it can hold.
Well, the entire market is based on emotion. Multiply the emotions of people a million or so fold and that is what drives the market.
Lot of buyers out there though. If we're going to go way down, today doesn't look like the day. Typically letting go of a run takes more than one day of bad sentiment.
Wow AMZN is green now.
That's a very durable stock...it gets both the stay at home sentiment, and the economy re-opening sentiment.
I'll tell you one trade I missed...I had a buy for extra shares of AMZN at 2575, but when I got busy trading other stocks I cancelled it. Generally not a good idea to leave an order open when trading other stocks. Next thing you know I saw AMZN plummet to 2570. I scrambled to enter the buy but by the time I could even enter the trade it had already popped to 2589, and then shot almost straight to 2610.
Trying for 2555 on this second round drop now.
Doesn't look like people are taking too many precautions in Vegas.

Let's see how it works out.
For those of us with long term holds...which is basically, all of us! today was not fun. No amount of trading I did today made up for the long term hold plummet.
Then again, looking at it philosophically, we were so sky high yesterday that a drop today still doesn't take us below the highs of February.
And futures are bright green at the moment, so tomorrow should be much better than today let's hope.
