Look, bottom line is this:
Mdawg is a guy that like to write stories. So much so that he owns a forum from writers writing stories, all kind of stories, not just gambling, although his stories are all in the gambling section.
But his audience wasn't big enough on his little forum, so he showed up at WoV to tell his tales. I believe part of this was to make a mockery of the forum and wizard but that is just an opinion.
So almost immediately, he couldn't slide his little stories, (or big stories if going by the amount he is claiming) by the membership at WoV, which is populated by AP's and real players both professional and recreational that know the math and how things work.
Wizard, hamstrung by a NDA agreement that he inexplicably agreed to , was limited in what he could do or say. But if you look at what he did do and say, it speaks volumes. Tells you everything you need to know, if you didn't already about this tale of Mdawgs great adventure.
1.) Wizard moved Mdawg's whole thread to the Betting systems section, which is the equivalent of the voodoo section. There is a disclaimer right at the top of this section that these systems cannot and do not win long-term.
2.) Wizard also has stated several times, one I quoted a few posts back that Mdawg is not winning long-term, in his opinion. And he is the math expert. One of those occasions wizard had to break the NDA to say what he felt needed to be said, and even suspended himself for doing so.
You people can play games, but the evidence is in and has been for a long time. This guy is not winning as he claims. he might be getting the comps he claims, because overall, he is losing! THAT is the way Las Vegas and the casino industry works.
Everything else is just a story that he is writing, just as if he were doing so on his story writing forum.
I don't hate Mdawg, although I hate his trolling and lying about me and every other person that dares challenge his little "story". Particularly the lying about me about all sorts of personal type things that he and everyone else knows are not true. But this year, I had a fantastic first 3 months winning almost 50 grand (lots of 3 day weekends). And since I am only up 10 grand or so, over the last 7 months. So this is sort of one of those periods that would have been frustrating if I was playing everyday and hard to stay motivated, but it isn't nearly as bad playing a couple times a week. So in a way, this new style might suit me better. :)
But the real answer is no regrets. I love what I do overall, and have no regrets about APing for a living. Plus it has brought me and my brother together, with him moving to Las Vegas doing the same thing after he graduated college. He has more options than I have or had and I sort of hope he is not a lifer AP, although if that is what he chooses, that would be cool too.

I am well aware Rob's post is for attention. Talking about someone's head cut off rolling down the stairs is for shock value. He seeks attention and relevance that he no longer gets anywhere, even at home.
But there is also strong element of envy. When Rob and Mdawg say things like dumpy or puny referencing where I live, when they are well aware it is one of the nicer, sought after communities, they are just jealous, regardless of what they may or may not have or where they live.
