Today was first day of play. Played four shoes. I was the only one at the table.

Ahead first two shoes, trouble on the third. I had pulled an 8K marker actually ended up losing it all. I made a 3K call bet, lost that too. Then another 3K call bet, won that, let it ride, and now I had $6K and paid off the two call bets. Down 2K.

Played my usual way next two shoes, stopped ahead about two grand, after having tipped out at least, I'd say four hunny over the course. One thing I did realize was that when I LOST a bet where I had twenty five or fifty alongside for the dealer, that at least psychologically seemed to eat into my stacks more than when I put money alongside for the dealer and we won together.

However, I am goal oriented. If my goal is to win two grand, I am not going to have, say, the four hunny I tipped out extra in front of me to win 2400 when I stop. So, over all, my tipping does not affect my bottom line whatsoever.

Couple grand in the winner's envelope, stack of fives for tips (minus one left behind for the cashier), marker paid. What's the problem? No problem at all!

Relaxed in the room with the wife, she had a Nicoise salad, I had lobster tacos.

What is interesting is that over here with no censorship, not much is particularly needed.

Over at WOV with all their rules and suspensions, still people keep trying to be nasty and goading with their posts, seemingly trying hard to skirt the line. Or is it simply that nasty people gravitate to WOV, in general?

No. The WoV problem closely mirrors the trouble we have overall in this country. The Republicans and Trump keep suggesting solutions to solve problems, but the Democrats have a tantrum fit whenever Trump does anything that succeeds because the effort doesn't look anything like how they would have tried to approach it. As a result, the dems resort to calling every successful person racist...aka, a suspension. Even when caught being clearly hypocritical, dems do not suspend dems.

Getting worse by the day over there. More suspensions because of political comments.

Little Wiz must be getting madder by the day as he realizes his liberal agenda is going down the tubes. He is the typical rich liberal elite who thinks he is special and most could never do what he did in life.

The only reason why politics were barred over there is because some quality members were making him look like a fool. If fucking a potential terrorist looking to funnel cash into “legitimate” businesses makes you elite, Wizzy found a way. Congratulations to him, but it isn’t like the Towel Heads are making any more money off your site. The forum had more traffic with the political threads and no one posting there is stupid enough to click the links on it.

Once again, another topic no one was willing to touch because they are afraid of the little mans wrath. If he was a true gamblers friend, he would report on how impossible it was to overcome the rules and terms his promoted sites put in place.

It’s all a wink/wink over there.

Hey monet -- I got a very strange look the other day when I said that my dad coached "Midget Football." That's what we called it back then. Now it's PeeWee or whatever, but back then, in Pennsylvania, it was called "Midget Football." I guess when I said "Midget Football," the people listening imagined something very different from what I was talking about.

Michael Shackleford is no friend to gamblers or the gambling community. He proved that years ago with his association with Venetian and he proves it everyday at his forum. As a fan of old school wraslin I can tell you midget wrestling is alive and well. Most wrestlers today are less than 200#. Midgets compared to the guys from the good old days. Real midgets wouldn't stand out today.

I just checked and the Alexa rank of THIS VCT forum has risen by about 400,000 since the Adventures of MDawg thread.

As I wrote elsewhere, the Alexa rank of WOV has plummeted since MDawg stopped posting at that forum - WOV peaked at about 70000 Alexa rank during the height of MDawg's thread, and within two weeks of my last suspension plummeted to 200,000 and has remained in that general vicinity ever since.

Justice prevails.

I don't know about this site I can definitely tell you the views posted on WOV threads are extremely inflated. Anytime there is an action made weather that's editing a post, adding a spoiler, hitting the back button etc it adds a view count.

Most forums, if not all, do it that way. Every time the thread gets a new hit it increases the view count.

Last night when I got home from a fairly long day with many sessions I got on the computer to update my records and such and afterwards spent a couple hours online reading different sites, always looking for some useful info (of which there rarely is anymore). I couldn't help but notice that at about 10:45 pm, WoV had 124 members visits for the day. That's very low. It has been several years since WoV routinely had 300 member visits daily and 275-280 on Saturday/sunday, but 124 is VERY low even for a weekend (usually 150). I mean it wasn't even a holiday weekend, or even a late spring / early summer Saturday, where most of the country has good weather and people have better things to do. It was a typical end of winter weekend.

So people might spin it anyway they want, but WoV continues to decline in membership. That decline has been going on for years now...maybe since March 16, 2016...:D. That's a joke, but seriously it has been a steady negative trend. And the daily visits are only part of it. Mike and his policies and the way he has run the forum have driven away or banned some legitimate knowledgeable players. It is very obvious he doesn't care. It's not his site anymore. He got his payday. It is now only a game to him.....something to stroke his big ego.

I think I will take this opportunity to ask; Where's Norm? Where is QFIT? Oh that's right he never intended to participate and contribute at WoV. Just used Mike to settle a personal feud.

WOV is a stupid forum if one must walk on eggshells just to post there, but even worse is how the moderation rules are applied unevenly. It doesn't even seem like BBB reads any posts all that carefully unless they upset her, such as when she misread one of my Baccarat posts to think that I had drawn to a nine. This showed me that she doesn't even know anything about Baccarat if she thought that choosing to draw or not draw was even an option in American casino Bacc.

In any case Alexa doesn't lie and the WOV forum traffic remains in the toilet compared to where it was, for the past month and a half, the doldrums. Generally when a forum loses traffic like that - to that extent - it never recovers.

You are sort of right Half Smoke. QFIT joined WoV and posted at the start of the WoV forum (2009-2010). But then he stopped participating and went 5 years without posting. AND during this time, he actually explained on his own forum why he didn't participate at WoV. I believe it was RS that asked him and he said that he didn't trust Mike because of Mike's association with Venetian.

But then QFIT only returned after 5 and a half, almost 6 years to continue a feud which had started on his forum. He put an end to the feud on his forum by banning me, but then followed me to multiple forums, BJ21, WoV, Blackjackinfo, Gambling forums, even 2 +2 poker forum to continue the feud. Does that make any sense? At several forums he created new accounts to continue this feud. At WoV he already had an account so it was just a matter of posting again after nearly 6 years, but the fact remains that he pursued me, to continue this feud.

AND on each of these forums he demanded that the forum owner or administrator ban me. Every one of these forum owners administrators including Stanford Wong and Al Rogers, told him no, he couldn't come there and demand that a member be banned because Norm was feuding with them. Only Michael Shackeford said, 'yeah, Norm is my friend and I owe him a favor, so I will ban a member at his request'.

And then haven gotten what he wanted QFIT disappeared again, proving what his intent was and proving that he manipulated and used Shackleford.

That is the real story, half smoke. You can argue that I have hung on to it for too long and should let it go. But ya know, I made a promise to Mike, that I would periodically remind people and I respect Mike too much not to keep that promise. :cool:
