Your parents and I have something in common. Also, there will always be places that never change - Comstock Casino and Cactus Jack's in Carson don't even use cards. I think Diamonds Casino in Reno still is on coins rather than TITO. And so on. But I do think that the publicly traded casino companies are more likely to implement these changes in their casino chains in a few years (say 5-7) years than not. I think it is a passive aggressive technique to eliminate the less well-heeled crowd if you get my drift, as well as advantage play techniques.
Anyway I found the article. Let the members of the forum be the judge of if,when, and to what scale this change brings:
https://www.cdcgamingreports.com/com...o-card-future/
relevant excerpt: "There are four major systems suppliers: Aristocrat, IGT, Konami, and Scientific Games (Bally). Each one of them are working on cardless solutions now and will be happy to show and demo their functionality in their booths. But they all say the tipping point is about two years away, and will come in stages."
The article says Dupars closed a year ago. Does that mean that Golden Gate hasn't found anyone to operate it for a year now?
Cut Card is when the game you are playing isn't giving you full points. Perhaps you have seen things like "this machine gives 1 point for 12 dollars" or perhaps "3 dollars for 1 point on this machine."
888 is something a team can do to lock down a progressive. You can make the hours whatever you want with as many people as you want. When I think of 888 I think of 3 players taking 8 hour shifts on the machine or bank. One time long ago at Jerry's Nugget the head honcho came over and said I know what you guys are doing with this 888 rotation. I suggest you either cool it or don't come back for some time.
Stay tuned in as we tour the Casinos and current mail offers that I and others receive. I have things to do like change curtains and walk the dogs, paint the walls, move boxes and so on and so forth but I am dedicated to give this forum my time and energy with the hopes that we can turn things around for the better. These forums, for the most part are similar to snake pits where people take sides and bite one another all day long not giving up any real information or being sincere. It also seems to be a place with some misinformation. They also seem to be grounds for recruiting which is fine but not my bag. I'd like to see some small effort of change, so we continue on down the rabbit trail.
For those hoping to hear about current conditions with the Devil, otherwise known as CET or MGM you will have to get your information elsewhere as I haven't frequented their establishments for years upon years.
I prefer calling CET "The Borg" -- as in they will assimilate everything. "Devil" sounds good for MGM.
If Boyd cuts their payouts as rumored, it'll be another comical turn. Room income taxes were down almost 8% in October due to the massacre, and down almost 10% in November. It would be just like LV chains to think that screwing the idiots who frequent them will be the way to make up lost income because of a mass assassination.
Yeah, that's the ticket (since SNL is in vogue on this thread).
Perfect! The Borg! Great analogy that I haven't used for some time. You can also get silly if you want to with the Lawnmower Man.
Think... Access Denied, Access Denied, Access Denied, Access Denied, Access Denied... I suppose it isn't such a great analogy because most players will never figure out how to get to Access Granted and that includes myself.
SNL is fine as long as it pre dates Y2K. I would venture everyone would agree after the late 90s it wasn't worth watching anymore. I know for myself I have tried but it just doesn't make me laugh anymore. I really enjoy Alec Baldwin and most of his movies but I never could enjoy him as Trump although I get it. I also enjoy Baldwins personal life. He really seems like many of the characters he portrays. Interesting note for you movie buffs out there is that in the movie, Great Balls of Fire, good old Alec played Jimmy Lee Swaggart and of course Dennis Quaid was Jerry Lee but did you know that Winona Ryder was in it as well?
The other thing I forgot to mention about Jon Lovitz is that 3 times I had comped tickets to go see him and Dana Carvey at the SLS. Needless to say all three times I blew them off. One time so I could sleep more. The other time I think I was curled up in the fetal position in my closet after losing 17k because I am a clown. The last time I just plain forgot.
dont forget academy award nominee tom hulce, and karen allen, and belushi and kevin bacon, peter riegrt
that was my first VCR i ever bought when it first became available. I had what felt like an 80 lb panasonic vcr unit.....and the tape cost me 50 dollars....and thats when 50 dollars was a days pay after taxes.
Where was I? Oh right... kicking the tires and lighting the fires! Let's be honest this information isn't burning anything down IMO. That is my opinion though and it could be incorrect. I really don't know. I am trying to share in my way. I don't like to Private Message people when typing things out which is odd because I would rather talk to individuals one on one in person but when it comes to an internet forum I want it to be on the public pages. I truly am screwed up mentally. Oh well, over on WoV those members came right out and said that ZenKing had mental issues and needed to seek medical help. It would seem very difficult to me to make some sort of analysis like that over an internet forum board. Anyone can make up anything or be anyone on the internet. It isn't that hard and from my perspective we could very well all be mentally challenged just being a part of these boards. Enough of that dribble. Let us try to break down the Golden Nugget which will be difficult for me to say the least.
14. Golden Nugget
Now that I seem to have everyone's attention I can slowly post up the information like some good Russian Novel. Don't mind me. I am just being a jerk as already accused of. It isn't my fault that I do get some entertainment value out of all of this and I truly do believe that it isn't hurting anyone but more so helping the casual player.
So I will say that it appears that out of state ID works better in this Casino. It isn't to say that you won't get offers for Locals but I seem to get better with the California and Arizona IDs. The problem is that when you show up and take the offers you better well keep playing. Do not just show up and take off the free play or play the tournaments without putting in some action. They don't like that it seems recently. Gone are the days of the .6 players card and tons of full pay VP. Gone are the days of mistakes found all over in this Casino or even the 3 week period of the Deuces Wild Progressive Bank that was moved and the numbers reset so the player would have a 5% edge. That was a nice time. I was one of the few players that found it. Someone had mentioned that the Mole seen it as well so they figured that it wouldn't last as long as it did. I made a little over 8k in 3 short weeks playing quarters. Not bad in my opinion when you consider the mail and comps. I also was invited to the 4 man scramble golfing event. My group was complaining about players pencil whipping everyone but these SOBs were unwilling to participate in such dishonest behavior. Why even mention it if your not going to let us pencil whip them back. Oh well we didn't do so bad. Everyone got 2 black chips in our group and I guess those guys had a sense of honesty holding up their heads high in the clouds. The damn event is fun though. You get to play 4 way golf and the best score counts. They have free drink and food carts flying all over the place so you can stay well hydrated. Just plain fun IMO.
Anyways back to current conditions. You can play the 9/5 JoBs that is a progressive in the back... I think it is 9/5. So with the progressive and the mail you should get over 100% if you work things properly. You can find plenty of 7/5 BP. Be careful with the Reels. They are basically set at an 8% loser meaning 92% payback. Very difficult to find winners and even when you do find something like on the Flaming Sevens the damn game is so volatile it will take you plenty of coin in to see your positive. They took out the 9/6 Jacks and the 5 dollar version as well long ago. They took all the 10/7 DB out too. They have plenty of beatable visions and must hits if that is your thing. I am sure they have something that I missed but for the most part I have only tried to beat the 160k Reel Machine that takes 2 dollars at a time to spin the Reels. Not an easy task and I don't like that the progressive never moves anymore.
So the best thing to do is to play out of state but you have to keep turning the wheels to get the offers and avoid detection. When I got No Mailed I only got cut off. I didn't get thrown out so to speak. I made adjustments and the mail started to roll in again after a 4 month interval. Landry's is a tough Corporation. I actually worked for them in the Flats in Cleveland for a short while. From what I understand they have a lock on the F and B industry and seem to run their Casino as if they were CET or MGM. They told me personally that they were downtown but they consider themselves a Strip Property. Evil Bastards. As Maxpen stated they may have a timeshare seminar to exploit. I did exploit them on some TV show thing for an hour so in my mind 20 bucks is worth my hour and trouble to not watch a show but act like I am watching.
Some people understand pictures over words. Let us look a few current mailers that are for the month of February 2018.
This is very interesting reading.
I live outside Nevada but don't get many offers. The only non-CET/MLife casinos I have played at in Vegas are Cosmo, Tropicana & the now-closed Lucky Dragon.
I have never received any offers or correspondence from Cosmo ever. I played there twice on one trip in 2015, with minimal coin in, and once in Jan 2017 for a couple $K in coin in on slots and left about break even. I haven't even gotten so much as an email from them ever.
Tropicana I played at on the same Jan 2017 trip Prior to that trip, I had been receiving offers from them based on play at a Hollywood Casino I passed in my travels (the one off I-80 near Youngstown, OH if it matters) for 3 hotel nights plus $100/day FP and I think $50/day food (not sure on amount) for 3 days. My OH play had me at Producer level with $120 FP twice a week that I was actually using 3-4 times a month when I stopped there as an extended rest stop when they were still sending me offers through 3Q, which is when I won a $2k progressive, took a check and left, after which that place no-mailed me but I kept getting the same level of offers from Tropicana. On my Jan 2017 trip, I stayed at CP but did drop in play at Tropicana - I don't do the whole check in to multiple hotels to get offers thing, so I just played with cash. I put in probably $1K+ in slot action, was down $300 at my worst, won a $1200 HP, won back another $200+ chasing a progressive that I gave up on then left $1100+ up. My offers from Tropicana, that continue to this day over a year later, are 3 or 4 night stays with $30 in FP and $10 in food credits per day, or the nights along with tickets to something or other or a tournament entry in lieu of the FP/Food$.
So if I had wanted to ever stay at Tropicana (I don't) it would have been more lucrative offer wise to take the initial offer based on my Hollywood play, which was accumulated point totals based on churning cash with minimal losses initially then churning cash generated from using free play offers generated by the initial coin churn. I'm not sure if it would still work, but it might be worth a careful investment to generate a couple $K in coin in at a local Hollywood, provided you don't already have a Tropicana play history, to generate free room offers there.
Is this the kind of out-of-town input you were looking for?
In my personal opinion, I welcome all input. I do not mind if it is out of state or local. I do not mind if it is positive or negative. I do not even mind if it is, down and dirty, in the mud... personally attacking someone because they have run out of an intellectual way of defending their case. Animal instincts and Mob Mentality has to take over eventually on the educated, when enough pressure is applied. I suppose my point is... Yes your input is certainly appreciated!
I played at green valley ranch once, didn't even get a card (I played with a local guys card for awhile, what the heck I'll help anybody out). I ended up hitting a twenty thousand dollar jackpot on five play dollar DW (with no card in). They took my info paid me in cash, I had a drink at the bar and left. I never heard from them and never went back. I would think they would want to get someone like me (tourist) to come back to return some of their dough. Is that standard operating procedure?
You most likely will not hear from any Casino, in the LV area, without using a players card. This has to be the norm for over 15-20 years now. As I have stated before and you can find this information on the web all over the place, the mail is computer generated. You don't have a monkey upstairs, sorting through all the recent activity and jackpots or such. The computer might flag something so that a human can look up the individual player. Recently I have noticed, they are getting good with tracking players coming in using free play. The cameras are so good these days they can pause and zoom in on all of your activity. RS put up some information today about mailers on WoV. He stated that the Casino may have even wrote a players address down wrong. Over the years I have actually had my mail being messed up as well, having to go back to the club to turn it on or fix an issue. Sometimes, if your local, playing all the time... you may want to go into a Casino to check for free play if you haven't had any mail. I have had found large free play offers on my cards with no mail mailed to me by just checking on the machines. However, I am an unusual case. Most players do not have that type of time or desire to be in the Casino(s) 8 to 16 hours per day.
15. Westgate or Hilton
I have already made a thread that the heat is on over here. I personally have not set foot in the door for a few months now. They are very concerned about free play and individuals taking off free play. If you have multiple cards from friends, family or partners you will want to come in on different hours. Use different type of machines. Mix things up with Reel Play. You may just want to play on your own card until things cool down. Do not even attempt another players card. Use up all of your comp as soon as you can. I have had reports of other players losing all their comp. The way I understand it is that they do not have the right to just 86, no mail you and take all your comp away that you earned. However I never advise anyone to go in and start complaining about such things. I have seen it go both ways. I have seen long time players go into Casinos and work things out and even get reinstated! That is very impressive. I prefer another method. Don't worry about it. Forget that Casino for years. I have seen where the Casino has been sold and the players that have been 86'd or no mailed show up and are wiped out of the system. They got the new player sign up bonus and are back to work. I suppose this falls under personal preference. Binions and the 4 Queens over the last few years have had an odd system. Some worker bee over there told me it was something like 18 months. If you had no activity for that period of time the computer will kick you out. I have been hoping this is the case with Circus Circus but I haven't seen that happen with them yet after being put upside down because of a comp glitch that I didn't abuse but got 500 dollars upside down with. Those guys are sore about others beating them up on such matters and told me I have to make it up with my play. I told them I won't. I figure I will just play on someone else's card... screw em. Let's test em and see what happens. That is more so of a generational thing. The generation before me would just roll you actually. Plenty of parking lot problems back in that era.
So let us see what do you have at Westgate. You have the new Poker Room lol!! That guy cracks me up trying to drum up business with his microphone that the whole Casino can hear. I wouldn't be surprised if you get the advertisement, from the carnival barker, in your room and upstairs hallways. Needless to say besides the poker room they have many of shoot down or vision type machines. They also have plenty of quarter to five dollar machines that you can play. The best game that I liked to play was the five dollar jokers. Some players were curious where I was playing the 4700 coin Royal with the cut quad at 90 coins instead of the full pay 100 version. Well this is it. I played plenty of it over there. The mail generated was amazing for a few years. Even before that before the change of ownership the mail was crazy at 400 per week at times. They even had large denominational Pick Em Poker if you so choose to play such things. That was a long time ago though. Let us try to stay with current conditions. I don't see anyone upset about the Star Trek Experience not being there anymore anyway.
They have some Reels you can play. You could mess with that crazy 7s game that they dumped a ton of progressive money into. I was trying the 90k version for some time before somebody else popped it. This is a 4 Reel 7s game that has the triple and double sevens with the 3/6/9 multipliers on the fourth Reel. Not an easy game but not as volatile as one might think. 3 coin dollar game. It also has a Respin feature on the 4th Reel and the Progressive Jackpot is Triple 7, Triple 7 Triple 7 with the 9x on the fourth reel. They had two games the last time I was over there. They were at 50k and 72k or so if they are still there, they will be higher. The double money reel machine is playable but you want around 4k to start. A few others but lets be honest nobody on here is going to take time for Reels so let us try to move onto a few video poker plays.
They squashed the dollar BP Progressive at the bar and after I hit aces a few times and a five dollar royal at the bars they eventually ripped all the 8/5 BP out. You can see the wave coming when your playing a lot in these casinos before the wave even gets close. They had a few sharpies including myself playing the 25 dollar BP in the high limit area. The card is exploitable over there and with all the scratch cards and few point days you can get an edge. The real play was the mail but I am sure that is over for some time now. I liked to play the Spin Poker that had the 9/7 Double Bonus over there... you can play nickles on up to dollars. Some sharpies liked to play the one ten play BP that was set to 8/5 on halves and dollars but I am sure they have that for profiling purposes. They have dollar 9/6 JoBs so that is the best slow play. Just put small coin in on those and don't waste your time too much. This should get the mail rolling. Weave in and out looking like someone who doesn't play much and wait for better opportunities perhaps? One nice thing about the comp on your card or the comp mail they send you is that you can use the coupon or your comp at any outlet. You can use them at the Siren marked Starbucks or in the Gift Shop or any restaurant. Your top tier card won't mean much even if they say it does. Nobody over there really understands being Elite compared to Ultra. They recently changed over the hosts to a younger generation getting rid of all the senior citizens throwing them to retirement. They look friendly on the mailers but I haven't met any of them in person.
Came across this little story about a guy who picks up the loose slot change. It all adds up, but the casino has to know what he's doing.
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/12/ny...the-slots.html
it says in the article that the casino knows what he is doing but there is no rules or law against it.
but as we saw in another article. some states find this to be theft and has arrested people.....as a money making ploy by local police departments
Colorado will charge you with petty theft. In Nevada the credit hustling is pervasive so they just run you off. Way to much paperwork involved to arrest every credit hustler. In New Jersey they can only 86 you for 24 hours for credit hustling. In Mississippi the state law is the abandoned credits belong to the public so you can't be charged.
This thread is awesome. Thank you for sharing Monet!
Small update with the Palms for April 2018. They decided to combine the movie and car wash to Tuesday's only and you can earn one for 300 or both for 600 points.
I know RS and his buddies like Roger Kint don't bother with gas cards but I don't mind them. Perhaps other players on this board like them as well. Thursday's only and you can earn up to 190 per week per players card. If you can find playable reel machines it is far easier to earn them. If you play VP you still can find 16/10 deuces with a .3 players card to get 100%. Factor in your mail and other offers and it isn't as bad as you might think. I have inched my way over 4K a month in free play with the Palms alone so for me it makes sense to hammer. You have to make your own decisions.
I forgot to mention that for the month of April I received two mailers for 250 dollar free bet coupons. One mailer took 4 months to kick in and that player played about 30 mins with a 75 dollar loss on dice. I played about 3 hours total on dice on two separate occasions losing 25 dollars total. We were testing different methods to see if any mail would roll in for pit play. We both flatted 25 dollar bets with Odds usually around 3 to 6 times odds. I don't believe Odds are rated. I found it interesting that for this month we both got the same free bet mail even though coin in has a large gap between the two players cards. My guess is that Stations either sends free bets every 4 months or this is something new they are doing or we just don't play enough in the pit to generate mail. However, if Stations is gonna send 250 or more in free bets every month it might be worth my time to play some black jack on a regular basis to generate the mail. Also they send me free parlay bets for the book but only at the 5 dollar level times 5. That seems horrible for the amount I'm down in the book.
Monet, re: progressive slots, how are you able to tell that they're +EV? I always thought slots were able to be set at different payouts, and they don't advertise on the machine like VP does.
I'll give you two examples currently playable at the Fremont. You can play the 5 dollar (15 dollars per spin) Blazing Sevens machine when the jackpot is around 7600 in my experience. Although I would rather wait for 7900 or higher. You will get many W2s since when you hit 3 red sevens the machine locks up and you get a hand pay of 1500. I know this from years of experience. I can't tell you the exact numbers. The worst run in over ten years on this machine I have been down 13k at one point but on that session I did bounce back up to down 3k and hit the jackpot that was over 8k for a 5k profit. Usually when I play the game bounces around from being down 1500 to 6000 but at times I will get ahead of it or stuck more than the 6k. The way I play this game is when I decided to play I never stop. I may lock up the machine and come back later or put a friend or family member on it but I have never gone more than 8 hours of continuous play without hitting the progressive. Does this mean you couldn't play the game starting at 8k and go over 8 hours of play... no. In theory you could push that meter up to 16k and play for 72 hours straight and not hit the jackpot. However, it is clear that the sevens and the jackpot on this machine aren't set as bad as other machines. They turn over more frequently. I don't want to get into a debate if the machine is beatable or not or anything dealing with the math of the machine. I am just saying that over 10 years of me playing this machine and entering the jackpot from 7900+ I have always come out ahead year in and year out. I have never lost on the machine after hitting the jackpot when starting at that entry point. However, this machine is very volatile and your money will constantly be going down on and up and down roller coaster until you hit the jackpot. I would suggest 15k in cash to even try to attempt to mess with this game if your going to go all the way.
Now the much easier less volatile machines are the Dollar Red Hot Sevens (3 dollars a spin) machines. They have these machines all over the floor. I like the entry point at 3200 but you could theoretically start at 2900+ but I have played these machines well over 10 years and never show a loss on them for the year. I have started the machines at 3600 and played them for 40 hours pushing the machines over 5000 before hitting them. At times I have done that and beat the machine outright before hitting the jackpot. The last one I hit over the 5k mark I started around 3800 and played for over 30 hours. I was stuck 2200 at one point and ended up going on a sevens run for a few hours. I was up 1200 when I hit the jackpot for 5000+ with a profit of over 6200. At times I have lost after hitting the jackpot at 4k but it is usually around 500 or so after spending hours on the machine. Many times I sit down at 4200 and snap it off in 30 mins. This all doesn't matter.
The point is that if you are able to hammer these machines starting at 3200+ on the progressive and play till you hit it you will come out ahead every year. Not to mention mailers and comps. These are stand alone progressives that start at 1k. You have to check on them from day to day or every 3 days or so until you see them getting close. Let us say you see a machine at 2700. You know from experience how much play it will gain on the meter. So when you play things like this you have to commit to them until you spin the jackpot off. That strategy will get you the money the fastest way possible. If you can't spin them off you need to get someone else to play for you. You can lock up the machine for 3 hours a day over there per player. You can run the 6 hour trick if you lock up the machine at 9:15 pm they will reset your 3 hours at midnight or when the graveyard manager takes over. Of course this tip might not work for you because I have known all these employees for a very long time so they accommodate me specifically compared to others.
Many of the Reels I play are from experience or word of mouth. I am getting older and things are changing. Many of the machines are being phased out. Many of the new machines are beatable visions but you need to live here and do it constantly. You can't come down to Vegas for a 6 day vacation and expect to beat reels. Your better off playing VP but in all honesty your better off not playing in Vegas if your only here for a short period unless your on some sort of crazy promotion where you basically can't lose. Of course if you know about some mistake in town you can travel here and crush. I know many of you just come here for vacation but my information is for the long haul and I really am not sure how it can help anyone who comes here for the weekend.
About 15 years ago Doug Reul told me the frequency of the top line hit on the Blazing Sevens is 16 X 16 X 16 = 4096.
Are you saying that the top line is always set to that for every machine in Vegas for the last 15 years or so? I am sure you are not saying that but even if you were that is fine... I am guessing the odds are different for the regular and red sevens depending on where you play. Just for example in my own experience I can give you 3 spots where I used to play them a lot. Mostly I played them at the Palms because when they first put them in the techs told me they were set to 100% payback believe it or not. I can't prove that but I can tell you I played those sevens for almost two decades and they were the best in town. They dropped the payback percentage down and they had them set to a high 99 for a very long time according to some employees that I am/was friendly with. Needless to say when they would run the huge multipliers or promotions I hammered them constantly.
Now at Circus Circus it was completely different... I wouldn't mess with them until they got to 2600. The variance of sevens rolling around was completely different. The same goes for downtown and other places but when they first came out they were obviously set at a higher return. About 10 years or so ago I could tell they were changed just by playing them because of the difference in movement. It was obvious they weren't good anymore or the entry point was much higher. I also had a heads up from other players and employees that they were changed/moved.
However I still find playable Reels that are sevens or seven variations but they are almost gone.
Interesting note though about the Red Hot Sevens which is a similar game... I have constantly shown a win on them but you have to be around triple jackpot or better. Like I say I like it at 3200 to start. I had two higher ups as me if I ever lost on them or what do I play and I told them I do but I have been on a very good run and that i mostly play Slots or Reel Machines.
I always figured they don't care if you win on these machines because it doesn't change their hold or win percentage but it is clear that no Casino likes anyone to win constantly on anything and if you show constant winners you are going to draw heat eventually.
When Reul told me that he was talking about machines that existed up to that time.
When I want to know a frequency I use either the slot card or the progressive meter to count the number of spins. I have a tally counter in my pocket that I use to count the number of times a certain symbol lands on the line. And I do it for each reel. The larger the sample space gets the more accurate the information is.
Per the Blazing Seven's if the symbol lands on the line an average of 125 times per 2000 spins then it's 1 in 16.
I am going to break down how to work the free play angle a little more. This doesn't mean that this is the best method or that you can not find other ways to get an edge. This is just something that I currently do and have done for the last few years when things started to change. In the past you didn't have to do things like this because the games were just winners off the jump and marketing lumped all machine play together as one which made things far more lucrative. If you read this and agree with it that is fine... if you disagree that is ok too. I am not trying to sell a book or website or a new offshoot of strategy or anything. I am putting up my own personal experience in machine play and how I do things in Vegas currently. I notice that almost all the players or members on this board don't even live in Vegas. I for one, have lived here 22 years solid and first came here in 1991. I guess that doesn't mean anything but the point is that I haven't had to move away from Vegas and never plan to. I understand how things work in this town for the most part or at least to live how I want to live. The way I do things will not make you rich or make millions. As I have said many times you can expect 8 to 20 dollars an hour on average. Now if you are serious and more ambitious and find mistakes, leaks, promotions or other things you can fall into some serious windfalls.
I haven't read up on Rob Singer and his ways very much. I never even heard of him for over 20 years. The only time I did hear about him is through these forums and how people would say something about him. I never bothered to investigate him. I only recently found out that he wrote a book on VP and another book on his life experience basically a book of interesting stories I suppose. 20 years ago when I was reading black jack books I came across a few books like that where they would tell stories of a year or so in Vegas and it was basically a book of entertainment.
First when you watch these you tube videos of Rob and Alan I get the impression that he doesn't really know what he is talking about. He certainly doesn't speak very well or explain himself that well either. He basically says... you do this because you have 3 or 4 chances to catch this or that. It is obvious that he has taken strategies and proven methods and decided to make up an offshoot of his own ways because it feels right or he found a pattern that works on all single line machines. At least the guys on the infomercials or the Televangelists speak in such a manner that can hook you much easier. You watch Rob tell you that you throw QJT suited away and hold 22 because you have three cards to make another 2 deuces. This one hand alone is some serious crazy talk. Anyone who plays VP and understands basic or advanced strategies knows that QJT suited is the center of the universe. The center of the universe... do you all understand that? Next he goes on to tell you that you throw away paying pairs like KK when you have 3 to the Royal. The reason he explains is that when he is down half of his bankroll or daily bankroll that is when you start to throw pay pairs away to go for 3 to the Royal. This is madness. How anyone on these sites can get behind this guy is pretty amazing but I understand because you have people who followed Jim Jones drinking cyanide-laced grape-flavored Flavor Aid/Kool Aid. So it isn't hard to believe that a sucker is born every minute and anyone can create followers.
For the rest of us or the ones who understand VP understand that the rule of thumb is when the Royal is 6000 coins or better on most machines you throw away the pay pairs and go for the Royal. This Rob Singer doesn't understand things like 4x or 6x Royals or promotions that will give you 12000 coin bonuses for your second Royal. He doesn't understand when a Casino throws up a promotion that lasts almost two years and doubles your Royal and lets you play Full Pay Jokers and other high 99% games or other FP games. He doesn't understand when your able to use your cash back and get 4x the amount to go play Bingo in a room that only has 30 players playing and what kind of an edge that creates. He doesn't understand when Binions has a glitch on the kiosk and let's you swipe 3 extra swipes that it generates and extra 1.5% to the game. He doesn't understand that you can play VP games that are 99.2% payback or 99.56% payback or 99.73% payback and you will always show a loss but you will make it back up in your card that you don't take the cashback but instead you take it off as Free Play rolling it back around in the machines. He also doesn't understand how to rotate players cards and let them fall off and back up as the months go on and you keep rotating them playing different games all the time and that you mix in Reel Play or some Pit play that generates other mailers and anyone knows that you can just follow basic BJ strategy and break even but the comp and mail push you over. The truth is he probably does understand it but he just wants to be the outsider fighting with everyone. I don't mind fighting and challenging authority but he is clearly not doing that.
MC is correct in saying that it is a tremendous amount of work what I do. I have told everyone that from the get go. You work about 60 hours a week to keep everything up but if you understand Reels and when progressives are high enough you stop everything to hammer those out. Just the Reel plays alone that I have talked about will generate you 2500 per month on average and that is cash. That doesn't count the comp, mail and cashback and tournament offers or drawings. The truth is that it doesn't matter because I do not believe anyone on these forums is actually going to get into it or try it because as I have always said... it is hard work... not easy and not for someone who can't take the swings.
So how do you do it? The way that I do it is I have 15 players cards. Almost all cards are top level cards. Rob doesn't even have Chairman Card with Stations which he already admitted. You go and try to play on point days but you want to play on days that aren't point days because at most Casinos these days if you only play on point days you can have problems. On the point days you can even play high denom VP if you want. That is 5/10/25 dollar VP which will get your coin in very fast. So your playing 8/5 bonus and a .6 day giving you 99.8% return. Your mail should generate 1% to 2% added to your play. You play 5 cards for a few months. You get them to max levels. Next you let the levels start to drop while your playing a different set of 5 players cards and you just keep rotating that around and around. If you don't want to play the bonus poker you play smaller denom and higher return games. It isn't that difficult to figure out. You do this inside of 10 to 15 Casinos in town so you will generate 50-75 mailers every month. I currently have over 60 mailers for the month but do I really need to post all those pictures. My pictures are just showing you the difference and what can be done. Alan was talking about Red Rock so I wanted to highlight the 3 different mailers from Stations. Yes those are all Stations owned mail but you can get three mailers rolling from one entity.
When you go to other properties or downtown you are going to play different games. Some Boyd 10/7 DB machines have full points and on point days you can be playing a game that is 100.7% on average. On other properties you will be playing progressive VP that will be well over 100%. As you move around you will fall into promotions that you will be playing at 3% to 5% winners. If you start to understand it you will find mistakes and that can last for years where you are making 5% all day and night long. Try not to abuse things like that too much or you will run the risk of it being pulled.
Many more things to go over and show you but this should be enough to get you started. I know that Rob and others will be in here saying this and that. I expect all that backlash. It doesn't matter. I think the easiest way to explain it is this... if you know that you are going to make a 1% of your money invested you know that every million you run through the system you will make 10k. If you can run 10 million through the system with 20 players cards you will make 5k per card. 5k times 20 is 100k. This is why I say it is very important to spread your play out as much as you possibly can. For over 2 years the Young At Heart Promo was crazy because everyone was playing on the 30X multiplier gaining a 3% advantage plus all over town. This is why everyone was running 80+ players cards because it was just free money spread all over the place. Players were getting greedy and getting caught swiping ten cards at one kiosk without moving around. Finally Boyd got hip and shut it all down for the most part. Sams Town got so Angry they cut almost every video poker machine in the house to a level that wasn't even close to playable. You still can get on the 7/5 BP when it is 2x or 3x Royal. When that 50 cent bank gets up you will see that it is completely full because the APs text or call one another and it is locked down. You still have some progressives all over town like this that are just winners.
Now if you want to just play safe and lower risk you just have to go to Skyline and play the deuces or go and play some of the other deuce machines around town without a card and you should be able to make 8 dollars an hour. So many ways to do things in town. I am not writing books or trying to get traffic on my website. No matter what anyone thinks or says I have been in town longer than almost anyone on these boards and most of the players in town. This town is not easy to survive in. If anyone wants to read this information and use it that is great... if not that is great too. I am only showing how it can be done and this is only one method. If you want to follow a guy who says he does things 95% of the time and it works 100% of the time that is great too. Remember though this Rob Singer has said that he tried to play VP using Advanced or Basic Strategy and lost 250k. So what does he do... he finds patterns that only work on single line machines and not on multi line. He writes a book and changes up the strategy. He says it is all based on where he is currently on his daily BR. This means the strategy doesn't change because of patterns... that the strategy changes because he is down more than 50% of his daily bankroll. I mean if you really are falling or following this idea or strategy you are going to have serious problems. The only thing I can think is that Rob Singer is working for the Casino getting the general public to play from bad to worse. The Casino always loves people with systems. They even admit they love players with systems. What they do not like is players using math to get edges on them and constantly show winners. The Casino really hates players who cheat... they hate those players worse than the honest math guys. Rob Singer said in one of his videos that the Casino Industry is in trouble... if you believe that your crazy as well. Everyone knows the Casinos are crushing. They even figured out how to operate showing huge losses when they aren't losing. Many Billionaires understand how to move money around and operate at losses to get around taxes and many other things. The Casino truly is the real APs of APing.
Very informative and useful posts, monet.
I needed a few extra nights next month during the WSOP. I put in about $15K coin-in (45,000 points with daily 3X multiplier) at Palms Las Vegas in January 2018 on a work-vacation. Played 3 hours on basically a break-even NSU Deuces game (100.03% RTP).
Recently received the following e-mailed offer. Booked it along with 3 nights (reservations was able to comp a third night) in the Ivory Tower.
Thanks for sharing nerakil... of course my information is for local ID but that doesn't matter. Out of state will generate more rooms and the offers will be different but as a general rule of thumb the current conditions are a 1% return for mailers. That is a safe way to calculate your expected return or value. Things change constantly. Some examples... lucky dragon was giving 4K a month for months. SLS went crazy for about 5 months giving 1900 every month. Westgate was giving all my cards 2900 a month for over a year before someone got caught. All of these were well over 1% added. So MC showed the math formula but you have to know when and where this stuff is going on because it keeps changing. You can't listen to Rob Singer and his 10 year old information about GVR and black cards.
Thanks for the information, monet and nerakil. Monet, you are actually giving a pretty clear cut overall concept lesson.
Regarding the scaling back of Young at Heart -- I noticed that they killed the free buffets for that promotion. I'm guessing at this, but my sense was that people would come in and eat for free, providing cover for the people using their cards. Anyway, the Boyd properties are not nearly as busy on Wednesdays since they downgraded the promotion. That, plus Stations is now doing their own senior stuff on Wednesdays, also. So now it's head-to-head.
I did notice that as an out-of-towner, Boyd was giving me $10 of free play just for showing my face and another $10 once I ran $20 through the machines. I don't recall that previously being part of the process. So they seem to have cut back the Young at Heart, but now they are sprinkling some extras in here and there for out-of-towners.
Monet, am I correct in assuming this multiple card strategy use was a no-go before kiosks and will be a no-go again after the kiosks incorporate some kind of fingerprint or facial scan id system tied to player cards? All of this multiple-card use was possible simply because the casinos tried to automatize their systems and make do with fewer employees, thereby bypassing the club desks?
Your correct. I have been saying the door is closing for about ten years. The door is almost shut on VP in general in Vegas. It is still viable but I'm pretty much a dinosaur. I am sure players like Maxpen, RS and AxelWolf have figured better ways out. My ways or how I still do things are almost obsolete. First off... Stations have cameras on every kiosk. Just that in itself is troublesome. Stations have players accounts linked to your cell phone now... physical cards are on their way out. The Palms is 90% or so video reel machines. Video Poker is almost phased out at the Palms. I was at the Palms today and the cards weren't working on the nsud machines. As I have said before a player either has to go back to the poker room or learn these vision video reel machines. VP is on its way out.
I was in the Palms a few times this week, and I will talk about that in a thread next week. It looked like a hot mess to me. Construction everywhere. Dim and ugly is being replaced by bright and ugly.
I will, however, give a big thumbs up to the new buffet, both for quality and value.
Mailer today... I can't use all these buffets... 48 total.
Damn, sorry I missed you. I would have been in hog heaven.
Seriously, if anybody is going to be there the rest of the month, it's top notch. I would beg monet for a couple.
Gee....getting giddy over buffets.
monet, while it's very difficult trying to read thru your million word posts, I did catch where you asserted I only have a single line strategy. My five-play strategy ($1/$2/$5/$10/$25) was published in Gaming Today years ago.

Does card pulling work anywhere anymore? I tried it the other day at 4Q (older machine) and it still counted my win on the card. I'd have to assume most all machines are more modern/updated than that one, no?
It looks like Mendelson, Singer, Blackhole, Belly and Yung got their wish. They've silenced another voice on advanced strategic gambling. It all fits in with their way of doing things which is the way of darkness, unenlightenment, bottomless ignorance, and infantile stupidity.
Aww...shoot. I didn't realize Monet had announced this or I wouldn't have made a post to him in the Wov thread this morning. :(
I can understand his feeling though. I go back and forth on whether to continue participating here, sometimes thinking why bother, doing no one any good or benefit, other times thinking I will not let the likes of Singer, Blackhole and Alan drive me away from participating. Always just hoping the site somehow heads in a new better direction. One can always hope. :)
Actually I meant I will not be chiming in about advantage plays anymore or what is going on currently inside of Casinos in Vegas. Partly because I have said enough and partly because nobody cares. I guess Maxpen could be correct in thinking my posts have caused the Casinos to fix things. I doubt it though. Either way it doesn't matter. VP is almost dead and all the information I posted is almost obsolete. If you want to AP these days you have to do things differently compared to years past.
Bob Dancer's May 1st column at LasVegasAdvisor.com addresses some of what monet has been talking about, and Dancer promises his next column will discuss gray area advantage play that even he thinks might be considered cheating.
I won't be chiming in about advantage plays or anything meaningful either. The road pic thread is dead, killed by Singer shitting all over it. I post my pics on Twitter now. I'm also giving up a little info on certain plays there too. No good to do it here. Singer will just shit all over it. Singer puts ignorant blather in all the threads here so best that I just do the same. Ignorant blather begets ignorant blather. This is just a troll site now as far as I'm concerned. Let's troll, tards.
Has anyone had a situation where they were card-pulling, hit a jackpot, but the jackpot got credited to their card anyway? I'm pretty sure this happened to me recently, was just curious if this is common.
Depends on what Casino you are in and when you pulled it.
I have never seen it work on a Reel Machine but on VP it still works at certain locations in Vegas.
It is just like Free Play. You can still rip off Free Play if you are fast enough at certain places in Vegas and the computer won't catch it.
It seems most places are starting to change systems and this will not be viable in the future but still works at enough places even in 2018.
I pulled it before the bet was made. The attendant even mentioned that I hadn't been playing on a card, but didn't seem that concerned. Seems like they would have had to audit my play afterwards, and figure out that I had been using the card on previous hands.
When they say that it shouldn't be on your players card account. You will have to sign and that will go to your Tax Account.
I say something like, yes I was playing on my card. Not sure why it didn't catch. I have have problems in the past with your system.
The Casino is a lot hipper to pulling the card. Most places don't like it and it can cause you some troubles.
An individual has to make their own choices if it is worth it or not and be ready to talk your way out of problems.
At times you may have to talk to "higher ups" if you start abusing shots too much.
This is all give and take and requires time for experience.
Usually it is best not to get upset or cause any type of a scene.
Some players get loud and abusive but I don't find that strategy works very well.
Time for clarification please.
Casinos keep various records. Don't confuse a win/loss statement with a play statement that comes from using your card.
A win/loss statement can be kept separate from a card play statement and could show different amounts.
A player who doesn't use a card could have a win/loss statement that only shows wins because of W2Gs, while their play statement might show zero because they never used a card.
I don't want to get too specific in public, but there's a really good reason why I think this win was credited to my card. I'm not talking about win/loss; I don't think I could get that info right now anyway.
If the casino always wins in the long run why does it matter to them or you whether or not you are ahead in the short term?
This is an important issue. If you are saying the win was credited to your CARD HISTORY and your card was NOT inserted for the initial bet then it means your account was tampered with.
Again, are you sure your card was not inserted for the bet? And if so your account was tampered with.
If your account was tampered with consider filing a complaint with the regulators of that casino, if you think a complaint will help you.
I don't think Guy needs your joke.
It could of been my posts but I highly doubt it.
I do know that they had a problem at the bar months ago.
They had some readers giving you extra points but you could only get it for the first 100 points.
So after 100 points you had to pull the card, cash out and start over again.
A bunch of work but it was worth it.
After that debacle they had to shut down all the bar machines and fix the glitch.
That is probably when they fixed pulling the card.
Did anyone check the Horseshoe? Same Company and Same situation?
I haven't played there for some time but next time I go downtown I will see if card pulling works over there or not.
This stuff is all dying anyways. It is all almost over soon and I will see you all in the Poker Room in hopes that My Team can Cheat Your Team.
Also it wasn't long ago when the 4 Queens were running the free slot play promo...
Mr Ho got caught using other peoples cards and they made a stink about it.
They are starting to crack down somewhat.
I do apologize to Maxpen if I ruined something for him.
The rest of you can go screw lol.
Well not all of you... some of you are good Pikachus and I am sorry to hurt any of you.
You are all absolved in the name of Mediocrity.

Monet, i don't know if you know Pierre but he was detained for using multiple cards at 4Q years ago.
I don't recognize the name.
However, I know a few players from the mid to late 90s who got cut from the players club.
They got held for some time as well for pulling the typical AP moves that Casinos frown upon.
15 or some odd years later they signed up for a new card like nothing ever happened.
I guess when the ownership changed hands and a different computer system was put in place, many players got to start over again.
If I don't play at the Horseshoe for a long time the computer kicks me out of the system and I can do all the new sign up bonuses again.
They give me another players card with a new number like I never existed. I have done it a couple times over the years.
I don't do it on purpose. Usually what happens is they change some promotion and I don't play for a long time.
Pureeeee gold thanks monet.
Are STATIO props still separated clubs? (Palms ect ect)
It has been stated before.
KewlJ actually corrected me and it is clear that you can get 5 Mailers Rolling.
Palms
Fiesta Henderson
Wildfire
Barleys
The Rest of the Station Properties
Heck you might be able to squeeze out another that I don't know about.
I do know that you can at least get 3 Pit Mailers Rolling with The Palms, Fiesta Henderson and The Rest of Properties.
I currently get 3 Mailers for Machines which is Free Play and Food Comps.
I also get 3 Mailers for Free Bets in the Pit at the 50 dollar levels. So I get 6 Mailers if you look at it that way.
I haven't stepped foot in Barleys or Wildfire Casinos for some time.
I am not sure what you guys are playing?
It must be the JoB's because that is the only bank that has the new system/readers.
Although you did say older machine so maybe you got the bad one :(
Everything is fine on all other machines I have tried it on.
Last I checked was on 9/22/18.
I see some players still playing the 10/7 DB with the cut card but not sure why!?
You have better at the bar with a few choices and no cut.
A quick update on AZ Charlie Deactur.
You want to play on the 7x point days.
You want to get your card up to Green or Red.
Red is better.
You have to put in massive coin per card.
30k to 50k is the range.

5 Free Buffets used with coupon once a week basically.
1 Free Nights Stay offered if you need it but you can get more if you ask.
If you ask you can get more everything.
Advanced Strategy applies.
System can be manipulated.
You must be willing to use Black Methods... some call Grey Areas.
For those who understand you will need to use the usual tricks to get your advantage.
A few years ago, the All Mighty Wizard knocked this place but I disagree.
Always best to play when the place is empty.
Host on property till midnight at this establishment, FYI.
AZ-Charlie-D has been one of my favorite spots since I found it shortly after I moved to Vegas. It was my search for a decent cheesesteak that led me to AZ Charlie in the first place as Pop's, half a block away at Decatur and Alta has the best cheesesteaks in Vegas, although I could do without the outdoor seating 3 feet from a major road.
Anyway AZ-Ch-D has decent blackjack at moderate limits and they are not super sweaty as you might expect from a low roller joint. And while I don't play machines at Monet's levels, you can still get some nice offers for lower play amounts. I think they are one of the last places in Vegas that still gives you cash offers.
Mr Ron's steakhouse is ok. Nothing special but decent, which is more than I can say for AZ-CH-D buffet, which really sucks. Even for free it is overpriced. ;) I am going to put AZ-Ch-D buffet in a tight fight with Silver Seven for 2 & 3 worst buffet in southern Nevada. Railroad Pass is easily the worst, unless I am forgetting some. I haven't been to Cannery in North Vegas for a while, they might be in that battle as well.
