Won with the Yankees Saturday.
Two small home favorites today:
St. Louis (G. Cabrera) -108 vs. Cincinnati (L. Castillo)
NOTES: Sharps love the Cardinals here. The magic has worn off for Castillo, who has looked hittable in his last few outings.
Angels (Canning) -107 vs. Oakland (Montas)
NOTES: Rookie Canning has quietly been excellent.
-
Lost both yesterday.
Fired on these, moments before they started:
Yankees (Paxton) at Toronto (Thornton) - Under 8.5 -105
Cleveland (Clippard) +112 vs. Minnesota (M.Perez)
-
Washington (Corbin) at San Diego (Lucchesi) - over 7.5 -120
-
Won yesterday.
Washington (Fedde) -112 at San Diego (Margevicius) -- Wheels have fallen off for single-A minor leaguer Margevicius
Dodgers (Kershaw) -1.5 -150 at San Francisco (Pomeranz) -- Wheels have fallen off for Pomeranz's career. ERA is over 8. He's done.
Incidentally, if you really think Kershaw is going to choke, you can get SF -2.5 at +1003 on 5Dimes.
-
0-2 thanks to a disaster in the 9th for Washington. Ugh.
One game starting soon, one starting in like 90 min.
Pittsburgh (Musgrove) +132 at Atlanta (Gausman) - Take a look at how Gausman has been pitching lately
Chicago (F. Yu) +120 at Colorado (Marquez) - Pains me to back F. Yu, but he's been better as of late, and Marquez is garbage in Coors, and has been since last year.
-
Screwed yesterday with Musgrove's early ejection, leading to that losing. Chicago blew a lead and lost, too.
Here are two games starting shortly
Miami (E. Hernandez) +139 at St. Louis (Hudson) - Hernandez with 1.19 ERA in minors this year
Oakland (Fiers) +141 at Tampa Bay (Stanek) - Jalen Beeks likely to pitch for TB
-
Reverse Trapper John alert:
Despite all appearances that Houston should be the clear favorite, and despite most of the money going on Houston, the line has consistently been moving toward even money, and the sharps have been on the Brewers.
Milwaukee (Peralta) +106 at Houston (Peacock)
-
Only won the Oakland pick, so I lost 0.59 units.
Today
St. Louis (Mikolas) at Miami (Yamamoto) - Under 8 -115
Yamamoto is making his Major League debut.
-
An ugly 8th inning 3-run HR by Granderson killed the Miami under on Wednesday by just one run.
Today:
Miami (T. Richards) -116 vs. Pittsburgh (Brault) -- can you believe it? taking Marlins as favorite
Minnesota (Gibson) -1.5 -115 vs. Kansas City (Keller) -- warning: super public play
Angels (Heaney) at Tampa Bay (Snell) - Under 7.5 -108 -- Snell's abilities well known, Heaney has a great K/BB ratio & WHIP, and his 5.40 ERA is misleading
-
Only won the Minnesota. Lost other two.
Starting in a few:
San Francisco (Bumgarner) -1.5 +178 vs. Milwaukee (Nelson) - Only Nelson's 2nd start since 2017, first start went poorly
-
Another run line:
Washington (Strasburg) -1.5 -115 vs. Arizona (Clarke)
-
Ugh... already 2-0 Dbacks on two solo HR.
Anyway, here's two more for later:
Pittsburgh (Agrazal) at Miami (P. Lopez) - Under 7.5 -105 - Lopez has been very good, numbers were bloated by single start awhile back with 10 ER. Agrazal first ML start but has done well in the minors this year.
Seattle (G. Bautista) +192 at Oakland (Montas) - Tommy Milone to pitch 2nd inning and beyond, and has been surprisingly effective in 2019. This game popular with sharps, and has had reverse line movement.
-
Ended up going 1-3 on Saturday, only winning the Miami under. SF was up 8-6 going to the 9th, but allowed a run. Had they held, I would have had a winning day.
Today:
Okay, I know I haven't been hot in baseball lately, and the Orioles have lost 6 in a row but....
Baltimore (Ynoa) +200 at Oakland (Bre. Anderson)
-
Posted this on my Pokerfraudalert forum a few minutes before the game.
This one already started but here it is for record keeping:
NY Mets (Matz) +139 at Atlanta (Fried)
I was close to going with Detroit as a big dog against Pittsburgh and the just-off-the-DL Trevor Williams, but didn't because Zimmerman for Detroit is so bad. But now Detroit is up 2-0. Ugh.
-
Here is one for tonight:
Angels (Canning) -110 at St. Louis (Wacha)
Aside from one good start against the Marlins, Wacha has been a disaster this season, with a 6.00 ERA and 1.735 WHIP. 3 of his last 4 starts have resulted in 6-7 runs in fewer than 5 innings. Canning has a mediocre ERA (3.93) and has had a bit of an issue with the HR (9 in 50 innings), but he has a stellar 0.993 WHIP and is averaging more than a strikeout per inning. He is considered a potential up-and-coming star.
-
I've been super cold lately, but I'm going to fire one more before taking my usual Sunday break.
Brian Johnson is starting for the Sawks, who hasn't gone more than 3 innings this year, mostly pitching in relief. It does not appear the Sawks are using him as an opener. They're actually starting him. He's not as bad as his 10.00 ERA indicates, as 7 of his ER came from one outing. But he's not good, nor is he expected to lats long.
Toronto is using Derek Law as an opener, and the ball is expected to be handed to Sam Gavilglio after an inning or so. Gaviglio has a mediocre 4.47 ERA, but his WHIP is under 1.100, and he has a nice 45/7 K/BB rate.
Sharps like the Toronto side, and there's been some reverse line movement, as well.
Toronto +162 (Law) at Boston (B. Johnson)
-
Tampa (Morton) -113 at Minnesota (Odorizzi)
-
San Francisco (Beede) -105 vs. Arizona (Young)
-
Back to the sports degeneracy now that I'm no longer concentrating on the WSOP.
KC (Junis) +114 vs. Chicago White Sox (Giolito)
Pittsburgh (Musgrove) at St. Louis (Mikolas) - Under 8 -103
-
Hit 'em both yesterday.
Baltimore (Wojciechowski) +166 vs. Washington (Voth)
Both of these pitchers suck. Anything can happen.
Starting in a few minutes.
Wavered on this one but decided to fire. I hate betting the Orioles.
GL me
-
Lost with Baltimore yet again, but let's try one more time.
In the O's game, Brooks has split time between starting and relief this year, and was just picked up by Baltimore after being released by Oakland. However, in the past month, Brooks has actually pitched well (though his appearances were all short). Fedde is going the opposite direction, with 4 not-so-good outings in a row.
Baltimore (Brooks) +163 vs. Washington (Fedde)
Cleveland (Clevinger) vs. Detroit (Turnbull) - Under 9 -119
-
Baltimore was behind 2-1 after 6, but came back to crush Washington easily.
Cleveland/Detroit was 3-1 after 7, but barely limped into a tie for my totals pick, finishing 7-2 after 5 runs came in during the 8th inning.
Only one pick today... a non-public over! How often do you see that?
St. Louis (Hudson) at Cincinnati (Roark) - Over 10 +105 (down to -108 ok)
Best line on Bovada right now
-

Favorites: 11-14 (-4.23 units)
Spread: 1-4 (-3.13 units)
GRAND TOTAL: 58-70-3, -7.59 units
I'll need to step this up if I'm going to come out a winner in baseball in 2019.
Once again I seem to be doing better in totals than everything else, especially since May 21. In that time period, I went 12-4-2 (+7.19 units) in totals, and 11-24 (-11.29 units) in everything else.
-
St. Louis (Wainwright) at Cincinnati (Mahle) - Over 10 -115
Milwaukee (Chacin) at Arizona (Clarke) - Over 10.5 -105
Texas (Minor) +195 at Houston (Verlander)
Seattle (Leake) +108 vs. Angels (Barria)
Yes, I realize that Leake got clobbered by the Angels for 7 runs in 2/3 of an inning last week. Yes, I realize Seattle has lost 6 in a row. They will win tonight.
-
Wow talk about a bad beat...
That Seattle pick of mine is no-action.
Why?
Because Barria didn't start -- he came in after Cole unexpectedly opened the game for 2 innings.
What a fucking joke.
I took the bet as listed -- and to be honest, all of my picks here are intended to be "listed" not "action".
So despite the easy 10-0 win, I'm taking it out of my record.
I ended up 2-1 today instead of 3-1.
-
Starting now:
Arizona (A. Young) +117 vs. Milwaukee (Woodruff)
-
Ugh, Arizona blew a 4-0 lead to lose yesterday.
Today:
Colorado (Lambert) at Washington (Fedde) - Under 11 -113
-
Washington game rained out, so no action.
Here's a replacement pick:
San Francisco (S. Anderson) +103 vs. Cubs (Mills) (-105 or better ok)
Anderson will pitch better tonight.
-
Won thanks to an 8th inning comeback yesterday.
Today:
Three picks, all starting shortly:
St. Louis (D. Hudson) at Pittsburgh (Archer) - Over 9 -115
Detroit (Boyd) +132 vs. Philadelphia (Nola)
Minnesota (Gibson) +107 vs. Yankees (German)
NOTE: Possible rainout in Detroit
-
Honestly, last night was one of the ugliest nights I've had in sportsbetting. All three games were super disappointing.
The over started off 3-3 after 3 innings, and didn't come close to reaching 9 runs.
The Phi/Det game went 15 innings, with Detroit getting 1st-and-2nd with 1 out several times in extras, never scoring. Finally they lost 3-2 in the 15th at home.
The NYY/Min game saw the Twins get up 8-2, then fall behind 10-9 in a 5-run eighth, then get back ahead 11-10, then have the Yankees at 2 outs in the 9th with nobody on, only to give up 2 runs and fall behind 12-11. Then they tied it 12-12, went to extras, fell behind 14-12. Then they loaded the bases with 2 outs, and a gapper was sure to go to the wall, clear the bases, and win the game 15-14 Twins. Nope. Aaron Hicks made a spectacular catch out of nowhere, and game over.
0-3
Anyway I got 2 today:
Yankees (Happ) at Minnesota (Odorizzi) - Under 11 -115
White Sox (Rey. Lopez) -124 vs. Miami (Gallen)
-
Lost both yesterday, currently in an 0-5 slump.
Here are picks for today.
Starting very soon:
Cleveland (Plutko) at KC (Montgomery) - Under 10 -110 -- Reverse Trapper John pick
Starting later:
Detroit (VerHagen) +150 at Seattle (Swanson) - Battle of two bad pitchers, but VerHagen actually has more potential to pitch well
-
You know you're running bad when you almost lose an under 10 which is 3-3 after 9. But it did win, to give me the split for the day.
Here are two moneylines:
Toronto (Waguespack) +125 vs. Tampa (D. Castillo)
Milwaukee (G. Gonzalez) -113 vs. Cubs (Hendricks)
-
i like Milw today small . also heavy on Cincy/Castillo only..SF & Balty small..cincy losing in the 4th now..ehh
-
Balt was opened at +191 dropped like a rock to +165 ! Poor Castillo been lights out last few weeks.. 1.67 Era App B.A. 157 and today opened at a nice easy lol -128 and floated up to -144ish...glad i lost the least..
I help a 93 yr old baseball Fanatic out..he bets 10 a game. not everyday..His best season he claims since 1948/ he is currently 18.1 games over .500/ mostly Dogs. he is laughing and puffin his weed at 93.bless him..he saw Ruth and all the great Pictures that came thru the Bronx..wow.
-
Split 'em yesterday, as well. Took late comeback by the Brewers to do it. Toronto lost 3-1 and had several chances to catch up, but blew them all. That offense is horrible.
Today, there's just a sole OVER.
Texas (Sampson) at Oakland (Bailey) - Over 9.5 -110
Two horrible pitchers going at it. Public play, but the sharps actually agree on it, as well. Almost looks like a Trapper John play, but honestly it looks good to me.
I considered Texas moneyline (getting +160 versus Bailey is super tempting) and Miami moneyline, but decided to pass on both.
-
Lost the over by 0.5. No scoring final 2 innings killed me.
Two today. One starting in about 10 mins, the other starting in about an hour:
Minnesota (Odorizzi) at Miami (Gallen) - Under 8.5 -115
Toronto (Reid-Foley) -112 at KC (Montgomery)
-
Forgot to crosspost here today, but here were my picks today, as posted on my PFA forum:
Houston (Urquidy) at Cleveland (Plesac) - Under 9.5 +100 - LOST
Milwaukee (Lyles) +107 at Oakland (Brett Anderson) - WON
Milwaukee/Oakland - Under 9 -105 - WON
You can see from this link that they were posted over 2 hours before the earliest game: https://pokerfraudalert.com/forum/sh...l=1#post856287

So far the totals have been the only thing I've done decently.
-
Toronto (T. Thornton) at Baltimore (Wojciechowski) - Under 10 -105
Houston (Cole) at Cleveland (Salazar) - Under 8.5 +100
Tampa (McKay) +106 at Boston (Cashner)
Let's hope Cashner looks like this today
https://pokerfraudalert.com/forum/im...es/cashner.png
-
Atlanta -147 (Keuchel) vs Mets (Matz)
-
Won the Atlanta pick.
I have a bunch of picks today.
Brace yourself:
San Diego (Paddack) +106 at Philly (Vasquez)
Tampa -1.5 (Morton) -155 vs. Detroit (Norris)
TB/Detroit under 7.5 +100
Texas (Minor) -108 vs. Minnesota (Odorizzi)
St. Louis (Wainwright) +120 at Cincinnati (L. Castillo)
White Sox (Giolito) -101 at Angels (P. Sandoval)
-
3-3 yesterday
I'll stick to what I'm good at today, and go with two totals.
Both are late games, so you have time.
Miami (Noesi) at Colorado (Marquez) - Under 12 -110
White Sox (H. Santiago) at Angels (Suarez) - Under 10 -110
-
Lost both on Saturday.
Here's four dogs today:
San Diego (Lauer) +134 at Cincinnati (Bauer) -- yes, that's Lauer versus Bauer
Pittsburgh (T. Williams) +106 vs. Washington (J. Ross)
Texas (Allard) +103 vs. Angels (Peters)
KC (J. Lopez) +125 at Baltimore (Means)
-
Won 3 of 4, only losing the blowout Pittsburgh game.
Three today:
Detroit (Turnbull) +240 at Houston (Aaron Sanchez) - Sanchez had been doing better with his new team, but got hit hard last time out. Turnbull is better than his 3-11 record indicates.
Colorado (Freeland) at Arizona (Young) - Under 10 -120 - Freeland's horrid numbers are mostly a product of the fact that he has mostly started at home, where he gets killed
SF (Beede) at Cubs (Hamels) - Over 10.5 -115 - Sharps on this one big time. Wind blowing out, Hamels bombed last two outings, Beede 4-5 ER last 5 outings
-
Ugly 0-3 day yesterday.
Here are two today:
Angels (P. Sandoval) +113 at Texas (Minor)
Miami (C. Smith) +171 at Atlanta (Teheran)
Both start soon
-
Just one today, attempting to break a 5-game losing streak.
Oakland (Roark) +110 vs. Yankees (Tanaka)
-
Won last night with Oakland.
Might have more later, but here's one right now.
Betting on the dreadful O's.
Trevor Richards is the starter (not clear how long he'll go, but I don't believe he's just the opener). He was rapidly declining as a starter with Miami, before being demoted to reliever, then traded, then demoted to the minors, and he's pitched just once in MLB in the past month.
So this is more of a bet against him.
Yes, Blach sucks too. Still can't resist the line against Richards on the road here.
Baltimore (Blach) +178 vs. Tampa (T. Richards)
-
Lost that one early.
Only thing I've done correctly this MLB season has been totals.
Weird season for betting baseball. Been a challenge.
So here's a total.
Miami (Yamamato) vs. Philly (Eflin) - Under 9 -115
-
Lost that one. In a big slump, took two days off.
One today:
Arizona (Leake) +122 at San Francisco (Samardzija)
-
That Arizona pick won despite some late inning drama.
A lot of the sharps today are on Bauer against Dakota Hudson, who has pitched 19 1/3 scoreless over 3 games. I can't pull the trigger on it.
I will pull the trigger on this reverse Trapper John play:
Tampa Bay (Pruitt) +127 vs. Cleveland (Bieber)
-
Two more:
Angels (Jose Suarez) +109 vs. Boston (Eovaldi)
Pittsburgh (Agrazal) at Colorado (Senzatela) - OVER 14 -110
Never went with over 14 in my life, but these are two pitchers looking awful lately, and both are at Coors. Has slugfest written all over it.
-
Easy win with Tampa, but two tough losses with the others. Angels lost in 15 innings (!!), and Pittsburgh/Col scored 13.

Anyone want to take a shot at a dog over +400 today?
Texas isn't a terrible team (74-78), has the 6th most runs scored out of the 15 AL teams, and Koby Allard has pitched okay, with the ability to pitch well when he's on.
Gerrit Cole is the obvious reason for this line, but he's gone 8 innings the last 2 starts, and I'm wondering if he will either be tired or load-managed for this one. He has had double-digit Ks in the last 6 starts, which is also part of the reason for this line.
Anyway, I'm going to gamble. This one has a better shot than when a team like Detroit or KC faces him.
Texas (Allard) +425 at Houston (Cole)
Also
Cincinnati (Mahle) +150 at Cubs (Lester)
Lester looks very worn out.
