Philadelphia mayor orders all backboards and baskets removed from city parks. Too many groups still playing pickup games around the clock.
Seems racist to me.
Cause you can't jump.
Seems like a lot of Caucasians on this list.

File under who didn’t see this coming. 400 at a party in California, 6 shot. Obviously someone looked at someone wrong, bumped into them or just generally “disrespected” them.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say there were brown and black people involved. Likely some illegals.

Suspects, 4 black males.
Got these two complete sets in the other day.
It should take me 3 to 4 weeks to watch every episode.
Not sure that anyone cares but Kenneth Johnson breaks down the pilot episode of The Incredible Hulk in great detail.
Many of the early DVDs for Movies and TV shows would have directors, producers or actors break down their work.
I always enjoyed that aspect but obviously it wasn't cost effective.
Groundhog Day has a really good version with Harold Ramis breaking down the whole movie.
So far the Quantum Leap Bonus was some commentary before each season 1 episode.
Season 1 is easy to breeze through as it is only 9 episodes.
Both the Hulk and Quantum Leap have really good pilots, IMO that is.
Quantum Leap gets a little goofy with the cliffhanger leaps not always lining up with the next episode.
They got a little sloppy in that respect but that is how they aired the originals.
The music for both of these series always gets me geeked up.
Both Intros are fun to watch for me... Nostalgia I suppose.
Same goes for subtitles.
They used to put all sorts of languages on DVDs now they just give you Spanish, English and maybe French.
I am sure you can find all these episodes somewhere on the internet.
I know I found the Hulk Pilot with both commentary on or off.
I just like having the DVDs personally as they make it easier for my situation.
One thing I've done in celebration of the coronapocalypse is try to watch a movie a day. I've gone over the internet movie lists by the years starting with 2019 and going backwards. I'm picking out the movies that I wanted to see when they came out but never got around to it. This is not a complete list of what I've watch so far:
Julius Caesar............................................ ..Bone Tomahawk
The New World...........................................Th e Monuments Men
Last King of Scotland...................................Amistad
Monster........................................... ..........Milk
Citizen Cohn.............................................. Owning Mahoney
Hotel Rwanda............................................ Mississippi Grind
The Butler............................................ .....Unbroken
Munich
You might want to skip Milk.
Not sure your political views would line up with this movie.
I never seen it as I couldn't bring myself to watch the content.
Of course, if you watch Milk you might as well watch Brokeback Mountain, Dallas Buyers Club and Magic Mike.
3 other movies I skipped.
Heck, you might as well watch Tom Hanks and Denzel in Philadelphia if you get on that train.
Monuments Men isn't very good IMO even with that all star cast.
Seems like they just wanted to goof around and make a moive.
I could never make it through Hotel Rwanda.
Bone Tomahawk is kinda out there... sort of like a zombie movie.
Unbroken is ok I suppose as it is a true story but it doesn't seem to be one of those movies I would watch over and over.
It's hard to get behind Angelina Jolie directing a WW2 movie.
The rest of your list is pretty decent or better.
oh yeah... didn't see the Butler as I don't have much interest in Oprah.
Forrest Whitaker is usually good but since your watching Milk and all you might as well catch him in The Crying Game.
I was really disappointed with him and Jude Law in Repo Men... I thought that movie was going to be much better.
You can skip The New World as well.
I have seen it multiple times as I try to rewatch it but it is always a waste of over 2 hours.
Every time I watch it I realize why I don't remember it.
Sometimes real life doesn't work very well on the big screen for me.
You would think that story and that cast would be more interesting.
Of course the consensus is divided as many people think it is a work of art.
You literally have 30 to 45 minutes of Trees to watch... they could of cut this movie to 90 minutes.
Thanks for pointing this out.
I remember this show but I don't remember this show if that makes sense.
One thing is for sure!
Bill Bixby seems like a different person when you compare the two.
Monet, I had a historical reason to watch Milk. This is not a diatribe against gays just the history as I know it. Its what actually happened.
In the early sixties we lived in the Castro District of San Francisco. It was an area on the west side known as Eureka Valley. It was a family neighborhood centered around Douglas Elementary School and Eureka Valley Park. We lived there when Kennedy was shot. I went to the 5th and 6th grades there. In 1965 we moved up to Sonoma, California. When I asked my stepdad why we were moving he said "this town is going to pot." I was just 11 at the time and didn't know what he was talking about but he was an old WW 2 marine that didn't like gays.
In the fifties and sixties there was a military draft. The military had a policy against gays but it didn't matter if you were gay or not when it came to the draft. A gay person, once in the military, was sent to San Francisco to be processed out of the service. Many gays stayed in SF because there were plenty of jobs and the cost of living wasn't bad. The years rolled by and more and more gays congregated in SF. So much so that they started taking over whole neighborhoods.
They were taking over our neighborhood, Eureka Valley. The families started moving out. Long story short. We lived on 19th and Castro. One block away, 18th and Castro is now known as the gayest 4 corners on the planet earth. Douglas Elementary School is now known as Harvey Milk Civil Rights Academy. Eureka Valley Park is now named after Rikki Streicher a bar owner that catered to gays.
Harvey Milk Lived in Eureka Valley. That's why I was interested in the movie. So okay, I didn't like it because they destroyed our neighborhood. At least thats what we thought happened. But its a lot of years later and I actually enjoyed the movie. Harvey Milk showed gays how to gain political power, something they had never had before. I'm certainly not gay, if you kiss me you better have a split between your legs, but I like Harvey Milk.
Disclaimer: I'm not a good movie reviewer.
I don't care for his politics but Sean Penn is a damn good actor. And I know his sexual orientation. Dude, was diddling Madonna amongst others. But he took to the gay love scenes like a duck takes to water. I don't know if he was nominated for an Academy Award but he should have been.
Charlize Theron did the same thing in Monster.
Monster was incredible to me. Both the story and Theron’s performance. Years back after the movie came out we were at the Daytona 500 for the week. We made it a point to visit the bars in the Ormond Beach area where Eileen hung out. Definitely biker type places, but they were filled with all types during Speedweeks.

Guess he is going to kiss Jessie Jackson’s ass and do the public apology tour. By the way, he is a Japanese American.
My wife loves Yellowstone. I probably should catch up and watch it. Not much better to do.
Not sure if you saw it but they did a 2 hour Deadwood movie on HBO last year. I thought it was really good and wrapped up a lot of loose ends from the series. Not sure where you can find it now.

I've been dealing a lot of UTH. Probably my favorite game to beat. Just tough to find higher limit games.
I didn't like the article it wasn't very helpful, it was basically a way of showing arrogance towards a group of Advantage players.
That is vintage James. He never misses an opportunity to express just what he thinks of card counters and how he and his hole carding team are so much above that. I am actually surprised he didn't go to his coined term "salamander". JbJb has become a lot like that in recent years. ;)
In James's defense, he is not exactly a warm and fuzzy person. This was his way of telling you he actually liked and even on some level admired the guy. That is as close as he can come to saying it.
Today's movie is The Lost City. The movie is free on youtube.

Oh yes, I am well aware of his views on card counting. I agree with him that there are much better things out there that people could be doing. If you're pretty good card counter is seems like the logical Next Step. I'm all for diversification. Personally, I tried to get involved with this many different aspects of Advantage play as possible. Unfortunately, it's hard to learn them all, especially some of the more complex table game moves.
Back to his article, perhaps he should have made it more clear when he was talking about Advantage players. Surely he must realize there are many different types of Advantage players out there? Sports Bettors, poker players, guys that play video poker, guys that play Slots and various other things.
The article just seemed like an opportunity to take a jab card counters without actually getting specific. How did that article actually help anybody? Now I guess this would be a good time to learn and practice a new aspect of Advantage play.
We really didn't need an article to tell us that. There's a bunch of guys that are already doing that right now. The almost annoying when you're talking to them and you can hear them shuffling the cards.

It'll sure be fun watching old man Biden implode.
I hope I’m wrong but I just can’t see Joe making it to November and the general. I mean the powers that be behind the democrat party must be scared shitless watching this guy with obvious physiological problems implode every time he gets in front of a camera. And they’re hiding him with a reduced schedule due to wuhan flu.
Again I want to see Trump v Biden, but Joe looks bad and they know it. And it’s not something he can train for, the man has a legitimate medical issue. They may be forced to replace Joe with the latest dem super-hero.

6 dollars for that movie is a rip off.
You are better off watching the 1976 version.
This new Midway was like watching a video game.
It is ok if you don't have anything better to watch or do I suppose.
I watched it for free as most movies are free online.
https://movies123.work/
Brand New and old(not sure far back their library goes) Absolutely free to stream. Caveats: There's 3
to 5 pop ups you'll have to x out before you can play them but once you figure that aspect out it take's only seconds. There's rare locations of adware, I think a second browser help with that just in case I'm not sure how all that works nobody I know has had a problem with it. Crappie internet wouldn't work great, I'm guessing 25mbps min. I have no idea what the legalities are when it comes to streaming free shit online.
Another thing I do most days is play poker on Bovada. I play the 50NL Zone Poker. The game moves fast, about 200 hands per hour on just one table at a time. I've got it crushed for 108 big blands in just 17 hours of play. LOL! Hey, that's $3.18 an hour. But I'm improving. I figure to get it up to $4 an hour. LOL! Pays for the movies anyway.
Bovada also has a regimen of cheap tournaments everyday. I'm just starting to play them. I do the late register thing usually coming in about the 10th level. Here's my track record so far:
Entry Fee...................Running total....................Cash................Runni ng Total
$7.70.............................$7.70........... ................0..........................0
$7.70.............................$15.40.......... ...............0..........................0
$11.00...........................$26.40........... .........$43.00....................$43.00
$5.50.............................$31.90.......... ...............0.......................$43.00
$11.00...........................$42.90........... .........$18.06....................$61.17
Win/Loss .......................$18.27
The first cash I came in 6th out of 89. I got knocked out by a 3 outer on the river or I would have gone deeper. The second cash I came in 57th out of 897 players. I might be better off in the tournaments than the cash games.
They shouldn't be asking you for any credit card information on the link I gave you, nor should you have to sign up or give them an email address or anything like that. I'll have to check that link and see where exactly where it's taking you. You can Just Google movies123 and the top search and take you to the proper site. https://movies123.work/home/. They make their money with ads and advertising and it's heavy with pop ups. It gets a little tricky at first until you actually figure out where you have to click in order to get the movies to play, but once you figure it out it's quick and easy. They're big play buttons the basically take you to a pop up, you have to close that out and then find the server.
Here's a video of some guy showing you how, I've never had it that easy but perhaps I'm doing something wrong myself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pmaeujx8ues
Axel,
1. I click on the link you provided.
2. I put Deadwood in the search box and click on search
3. I click on the movie and it says I must be logged in to stream or download.
4. I create an account
5. It sends me to a screen that wants my credit card info in order to continue.
So that's the roadblock. I don't want to give them my credit card info.
Your Pal Greatest APWolf gave you the wrong link.
You want the 123.net link.
You have to be careful because a few 123 sites will hit you with a bunch of porn, viruses and ask for a credit card.
Currently they do have one site that doesn't ask for a cc but it has some ad pop ups you have to fight a few times.
You might have to switch to server 2 sometimes as server 1 can be lagging.
Most likely infecting your computer too but that's the price you pay.
You could get into torrents if you wanted and other sites.
Sounds like your best play is to just pay a few bucks per movie.
No Hassle and endless rabbit trails.
These are direct links to actual movies but like I say just pay your 3 to 6 dollars.
If you do mess with these links and want to go to other movies You click on Home.
Fight off an ad pop up or two.
Click Home again and you should see a list of movies below and you can also search your movies.
You will have to keep fighting off ad pop ups once or twice.
If you really want to get rambunctious you can download a program that busts ad pop ups.
Google Chrome has a few.

Speaking of Bad Movies...
I just watched 20 minutes of Spenser Confidential before I shut it off.
This is not Robert B Parker's Spenser.
Most of his novels were great and the TV Show was good enough but this movie is unwatchable for my taste.
The TV Movies with Joe Mantegna were horrible and shot in Canada.
They had to shoot in Canada because they were too Fucking Cheap to pay Bostons outrageous fees.
How are you going to film a Private Eye Movie, based in Boston, in Fucking Canada??
Perhaps mcap is onto something.
I actually have most of the novels and all of the Episodes on DVD.
Another series that I love the intro and music to.
Avery Brooks as Hawk and Robert Urich as Spenser worked.
MOTHERFUCKERS, I NAMED MY DOG AFTER SPENSER!!!
With an S, like the poet.
Of course the plan failed as I was supposed to have a Golden Retriever and a Black Labrador.
Obviously named Spenser and Hawk.
That is, till I researched how bad they shed and not exactly the type of dogs for the Vegas Climate.
This movie basically screwed up Spenser's Love Interest, Pearl, Hawk, Henry and everything else in the first 10 minutes.
The only good thing I seen was some of the aerial shots of the Boston area.
I am sure many of you will love the movie as you probably have no connection to the original source.
Here is the link if you have interest.
https://ww2.0123movie.net/movie/spen...49.html?play=1
I checked and double-checked that link and it's absolutely the correct one for what I do. As I said, there's a bit of pop up's to deal with and they are a little tricky(once you learn it, it's super simple after that, and it's well worth it, any movie you want for free, even brand new ones). I went through the same steps that you did and Deadwood played just fine I had it going within less than 10 seconds.
Trust me, you do not have to sign up or make an account, you do not have to give them an email, credit card or anything whatsoever.
After this step....#3. "I click on the movie and it says I must be logged in to stream or download."
DON'T SIGN UP, don't do anything but close that tab (that is a new pop up tab(tricky)) ... The previous tab that you clicked from should now have some boxes/adds to close(1 to 3 of them). Close them out(sometimes more than one click), if at any time a new pop up/tab should open just close it and continue on at the previous tab. Once the boxes/adds are Xed out you can hit the play button and movie will start. If you pause/expand or click the movie screen you might get a new pop up tab...just x it out and then resume your action... pause/expand/play or whatever.if at any time another AD should appear just X out. It will not let you hit play unless all ads have been cleared from over top of the play screen. Clicking anywhere on the screen other than the X's will open a new tab. If that should happen just close that Tab out and resume what you were doing. I know it sounds complicated and lots of Hoops, but trust me it's not what's your kind of understand what's going on.
if I had my way, I would do away with all cable and only have high speed internet with an HD antenna. Unfortunately, the wife likes things how they are and she doesn't ask for much, so there you have it. I think my bills $170 a month for internet and cable. I do get like a hundred and sixty Mbps. coupled with my fast computers I get lightning fast speeds. I can have multiple hungry programs going at once along with over 60 tabs open and never notice any type of slow down. I have over 60 tabs open right now.
As apposed to this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsNaR6FRuO0
Axel, 160mbps? You're running multiple computers, with video. Does your area have gigabit service? We have 4 computers always on around the house and tv's streaming, cameras, security, alexa etc., and I had to get 1000mbps in order to handle it all. My bill is about $180 for internet and Dish (which we don't watch that much). Internet is $115.
F*** you Rob, I wish I had the Gblast. I'm wondering if that's Overkill for what I'm doing? I don't think the servers can push me the information that quick. I do have a lot of older computers that I use frequently, so I'm not sure if I would have to change the network cards or not. Also, I don't really use a wired computer and I thought once you start sharing it between computers it slows the speeds down?
I remember briefly looking into it when it first came out, but it was super expensive. They wanted some outrageous amount for the modem as well, at least $300 if I recall correctly(I can probably buy my own, but I already invested in an expensive one a few years back). I'm not quite sure if it's actually in my area or not since I stopped looking into it once I saw the prices. I have Since forgotten all about Gblast I did, call Cox at one point to tell them I was going to drop their service unless they gave me a break on the bill. I think they did for like $20 and upgraded me from 50 mbps two where I'm at now.
Think I'll call them again and ask for another price reduction or perhaps if I can get the gigabit and it will work with all my devices.
I think Cox is blocking Las Vegas from that super fast Google internet they've been talking about. From what I was hearing that was only like 40 bucks a month.
We don't drop the cable because my wife seems to like that Contour remote and for some reason she actually likes commercial breaks so she can read in between or go do something.
Thanks for the tips on getting free movies, guys, but I'm passing. All I get is them trying to get me to download stuff from shady sites and my anti-virus telling me there is malvertising going on.
Today's movie is Deadwood. Got a free 7 day trial on HBO Now. Then it's $15 a month. There's a few other HBO movies I want to see and then I will cancel the subscription before the 7 days is up.

I have the same problem with my wife and satellite TV. But Dish does allow us to suspend it when we leave for the summers and falls. I keep the internet (Cox) on so I can monitor the inside andoutside cameras from my phone.
Cox was very high but their gigablast came down to $115 so I got it. I hard-wired all my tv's, my jailbroken firestick, and my indoor cameras which made a difference. But nothing is really 1000. Directly wired to my computer in the same room as the modem it's like 700. Everything else is all over the map. But it is way faster and I have no buffering problems whatsoever any more.
That $115/mo. includes some monthly rental fee for the modem. There is no need for a wireless router because it's built into the modem, and it works perfectly.
I think the Phx. and LV rates for this fiber optic service are pretty similar.
This morning's movie is 61 on HBO NOW.
https://r.search.yahoo.com/_ylt=AwrU...upxIFBBtHtpOo-
The movie was good but didn't follow history that well. The timeline in the movie was 1889. Charlie Utter had left Deadwood by 1880 for mining towns in Colorado and New Mexico. He was known to still be alive in Panama in 1912. No one knows when or where he died. Calamity Jane was not a lesbian. She remarried to a man named Burke in the 1880's. The movie portrays Al Swearingen as a dying man in 1889 but he actually was found shot to death in Denver in 1904.
I played a $16 tournament on Bovada this morning. 694 players and came in 5th to cash for $400. I think I made a mistake to get knocked out. Had 13 mill on button, big stack in big blind with 27 mill. Other 3 stacks at 7 mill or less. I open shoved with pocket 4's and get called by big blind with KQ suited. With 27 mill he has me covered. I'm small favorite but he catches a king and I'm out. If I win that hand I'm chip leader and rest of stacks at 11 mill or less. But I failed to take into consideration the size of the blinds and the smaller stacks of the other 3 players. I was in 2nd chip position out of five. Blinds at 50K/100K. Probably should have folded to let short stacks blind off before making a move. Anyways, I'm learning.
Played another $16 tournament on Bovada yesterday. Came in 52nd for a $40 cash. I'm liking this particular tournament because you get 89K starting chips, blinds start at 25/50, just 8 minute rounds. I usually go for late registration coming in about the 10th leve. The morning tournament usually gets over 700 players. If you make the final table you cash pretty good.
Watched the 5 part mini-series Chernobyl the last couple of days. This is a very good docu-series on HBO NOW. Most people think Reagan's defense buildup sank the Soviet Union. But Mikhail Gorbachev says Chernobyl was the real cause. It has to do with the Communist Party's cover-up of the truth of what happened at Chernobyl. People got tired of Communist Party lies. China is doing something similar with coronavirus.
https://r.search.yahoo.com/_ylt=AwrV...3dLjEPApy1sdk-
Mickey, i’m going to have to disagree with you on this one. The numbers speak for themselves. The Russians trying to keep up with Reagan’s military buildup is what eventually sank the Soviet Union. It’s that simple.
Of course the liberal press and Gorbachev aren’t going to give Reagan credit. That would mean they were wrong. I don’t know if you remember but at that time all the liberals were saying Reagan was leading us into World War III and what he was doing would never work. They wanted Reagan to negotiate with the Soviet Union like Carter was doing before him. What they really wanted was the United States to become like the Soviet Union.
Now that Reagan’s strategy was successful and Reagan was right, they’re trying to rewrite history. There is no way one little reactor catastrophe in Chernobyl, and it’s cover up, would lead to the downfall of USSR. It hurt that local area, yes, but it didn’t take down the Soviet Union.
Well, you are not disagreeing with me. You are disagreeing with Mikhail Gorbachev. And "one little reactor catastrophe" is far from what happened. It was the worst nuclear disaster in history. It was rated as maximum severity. Over 1000 square miles was contaminated. They worked feverishly to keep the contamination out of the Usk River which dumps into the Pripyat River which dumps into the Dnieper River which dumps into the Black Sea. Had the radiation reached that far downstream it would have uprooted 50 million people. The clean up is projected to last until 2065.
This morning I played a $16 tournament on Bovada and didn't cash. Then I bought into a $22 tournament with $10 bounties. There were 94 players. I made the final table. Then there were 5 left. Then there were 4 left.
Then there were 3 left. Then there were 2 left. Then there was only me left. i cashed for $194 + $40 in bounties.
Valid point. I meant to say HBO and Gorbachev got it wrong. I understand it wasn't "one little reactor catastrophe"...that was a poor choice of words. I meant that statement more in a sarcastic way. I get it was bad; it was one of only two nuclear disasters that was rated a class 7. The other one was in Japan in 2011, called Fukushima. I don't remember Japan having a regime change due to that disaster.
As far why Soviet Union collapsed, there were many reasons, but the main one was Reagan's policies. The Soviet Union would have collapsed eventually since it's a failed model, but Reagan definitely sped up the process.
When Reagan took over, he went away from the "containment policy", which had been our policy for 35 years with USSR. And to the "lets defeat them policy", which had the liberals scared shitless, just like they are today with this virus. Reagan's policy from his own words: "We win and they lose". Reagan was not scared of Russia, and he backed up his words with a strong military.
As I'm sure you remember, we had a huge military buildup during that time, and confronted Soviet Union through out the world, freeing Grenada with an invasion. One of Reagan's main military initiatives was Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI), which had the liberals scared because they thought it could lead to a war with Russia. They made fun of it by calling it Star Wars. The Soviet Union tried to keep up with our military spending and technology, but couldn't which hastened their fall.
Today many liberals try to give some credit to Gorbachev, calling him a liberal Democrat. The following article points out he was a modern Leninst, like many liberals today. The following is one of the best articles I found on Reagan's impact on the Fall of Soviet Union and Communism.
https://www.heritage.org/report/rona...fall-communism
It mentions the Chernobyl disaster, but this was just one of many things going wrong in Russia. Reading this article makes you proud to be an American. It's nice to revisit history from time to time and remember what our country stands for.
Last night's movie was Bohemian Rhapsody on HBO NOW.
