I don't understand why the United States does any business whatsoever with China. Does everyone really need mega-numbers of ultra-cheap clothes and low-end tech? Couldn't we have meaningful lives owning less and paying more?

There's only ONE reason much of our products are manufactured in China: cheap labor and materials cost. Our corporations won't do anything about that unless forced. CEO's want to keep their lakeside summer homes, private jets, yachts, and easy alimony payments.

There's nothing wrong with calling this the Chinese Virus. That's where it started--in the barbaric wet markets in that backwards communist country. Nobody has a problem with the Spanish Flu which didn't even start in Spain, or the German Measles which is labeled that way only because German scientists discovered it. I believe we should call a chink a chink.

I found it hilarious that people are still triggered by an avatar months after I ceased participating over there. When Mike told me about the complaints in person I couldn't believe it. This just proves the absurdity of the crowd still participating in the clown show.
There's a core group of nonstop whiners that have been catered to resulting in the total destruction of a once good resource. Pretty much sums up everything progressive liberals infest.

I guess the avatar still showed on old posts I thanked in the past. Keep in mind I stopped participating in that cesspool before the mass exodus.

MaxPen, since You are friends with Mr. Mike, can I ask when you socialize with him and talk of the forum (WoV) comes up, is he happy with the way the forum currently is? I mean it seems like a far cry from some of the statements he made when he started the forum, about being a place to share ideas and experiences in the hopes that everyone can become a better gambler/player. (something along those lines).

Obviously that is not what that forum is today. Is he happy about that or has he just given up and doesn't care?

Any of the other guys that have a relationship with Mike outside the forum can feel free to answer as well.

I don't ever make it a habit to disclose publicly anything I discuss with others in private. But I don't spend a lot of time talking about forum stuff with anyone outside of the forum environment. Actually, if I could I would probably reword the response to Boz differently. There was maybe a 30 second back and forth on the matter. I understand Mike's position and I believe he understands mine.

Look after my banning, I tried very hard to keep an avenue of communication open with Mike. For a while we communicated privately through PM at WoV. Then he got mad and cut that off. Then I created an account at his diversity forum and he immediately banned me and cut that off. I emailed him and he ignored me. I even went outside of my own comfort level and sent a letter to his residence in which I provided contact info, my phone and email, should he ever desire to open communication again. From that effort, I heard from others that he felt that crossed a line and felt threatened. :confused:

So I have done all I can do, short of showing up at his door, which I would never do or approaching him in public, which I also would never do. I have seen Mike, probably half dozen times in public, usually at a casino, including at least 3 times since he banned me and also including fairly recently, maybe 3 months ago. I am just not going to approach him, being that he has made it clear he is unwilling to communicate with me.

Yes I said some nasty things about Mike, especially earlier, but I honestly believe his issue is more that that. I think even mention of my name reminds him of exactly what occurred. Norm used him, plain and simple. Showed up at the forum, playing mike, pretending to be his friend, even calling in a favor to involve Mike in a feud that Mike never even knew what it was about. And then Norm simply cast Mike aside yet again, just as he had done 6 years prior and disappeared. None of that was my doing, really had nothing to do with me. That is between Mike and Norm, but it reminds Mike of that and he is way too insecure to revisit that publicly and try to move forward. So he handles it by pretending I don't exist and gets furious when someone mentions my name.
