The "rainman" type total recall claim is just one of many claims as to how he plays at an advantage. At times he has said loss rebates, and other things. It is a throw everything at the wall and hope something sticks type strategy. But none of these things stick. None of them fit Mdawgs claims.

For example the loss rebate doesn't work because he almost never reports losses. :rolleyes: And a loss rebate works because of the losing sessions.

Neither does this total recall rainman nonsense work either. In blackjack, total recall of all the cards would be similar to knowing what cards remain by using a sophisticated card counting method. My brother and I were partners, his first year of playing for a living. But we didn't use the big player approach. We played the EMFH type partnership, where players play separately, but combine results. The benefits of this are that the two players get to the long run faster than either separately would, so it smooths out variance, making a significantly above (or below) expectation year less likely.

After that first year my brother didn't want to partner anymore. He likes doing his own thing, not answering to anyone and his results only effecting himself. And I respect that.

I think that makes sense. The issue is it's always the same two guys playing together, of course it should be harder to detect.

Two card counters at the same table, raising and lower bets in unison is very bad. It is extremely easy to spot. Even if they are playing different counts and different bet spreads, the raising and lowering together is a major red flag.

For this reason it was always an unwritten rule that the second counter to the table would immediately exit once they realized the situation (you don't always know when you sit down, until the count goes positive, and both start raising wagers). Of late sometimes the second counter no longer observes that unwritten rule or courtesy, putting both in danger.

I know solo type card counters that were "linked" to other counters and teams in databases, simply because they were at the same table.

Rob, you used to do the same thing with Moses (the late Kevin Keen). Moses would say something disputing or contradicting what I said, and Rob would jump all over it saying "a professional player" (meaning moses) proved me wrong.

And in the end, in his final year, Moses revealed that he had won about 100k over 10 years in Reno, which is an average of 10k a year or recreational level play, just as I always said.

I can't speak to anyone else you've mentioned (especially since you're not referring specifically to any actual person) but yes, it appears there are a couple things you don't know.

Well lay it on me jdog. If it is something you can't say publicly, do so privately. If there really is something I don't know, I will be happy to acknowledge you were right.

Without even getting into anything too specific, casinos know to look for "confederates" or players playing together at table games.

Did you see the movie "21" about the MIT blackjack team? As in many movies there were thing that weren't actual or factual, but there were also some things that were. One of the more factual things was that the Laurance Fishburne character, who was based on Andy Anderson of Griffin detective agency, better known as Griffin black book at the time, figured out that each time the player being looked at (big player in this case) sat down there was always the same or one of several people already at that table. THAT is how members of the MIT team were discovered and linked back to MIT and the Cambridge Mass area.

And this was in the 1990's. 30 years ago! Casino surveillance knows to look for confederates or players playing together at table games, even before they figure out what they might be doing. This is not the path to longevity.

I don't know exactly what my brother's long-term plans or goals are. I probably should ask, but I suspect he hasn't really planned anything. But I have. I have been at this 20 years in March. 15 years here in Vegas. And I would like to get another 5-10 years. Everything I do, is based on my top priority of longevity. For example, I have had the bankroll to play much higher stakes for years now. Higher stakes would mean higher win rate and winning. But those players that do that last a year or two and then end up writing books and running blackjack bootcamps.

Team play involving playing together at the same table is just a recipe for a short career.
