As confrontational as most of these last two pages are, it's been an interesting read.
First I'll say, max and mickey are basically saying the same things. But the animosity is senseless.
I have no problem with how AP's report grinding out profits. But does anyone really believe or expect to hear any of them say they are struggling to make their living at times when they truly are? They are going up against casinos. It happens. It's never all hearts and flowers.
The discussion about pensions and 401k's I guess was to show a difference between AP's and traditional work. But it fell short. If you work/worked for a Fed., State, City or County govt then you receive a pension that you pay into in lieu of SS because of their structure. That's one of the reasons I retired from my Fed. job and went into the private sector. And I specifically chose the Aerospace industry because, not only will you pay a relatively small amount into SS to receive much more in retirement, but you pay nothing into what is a lucrative pension plan after you're vested which is typically 5-years. (I know today the pension plans are nearly non-existent or have been severely cut back on).
But the cream of the crop is their 401k's, which have also been greatly reduced. In my day we could choose what % of our earnings we wanted deducted for it up to I think 18%, but the company would also match our deductions up to 8%. Everything is reduced today of course, including the companies' contribution to healthcare etc. But overall, mickey is correct about all this being a part of an employee's wage benefit pkg. Sick and personal days, maternity and hardship leaves, education requirements, vacation pay, and probably even paid days off to go to a class on Trans Gender Studies these days....who knows with the type of sick people we have running this country right now. All included.
Obviously and especially if you have a family and/or dream of early retirement from work, this type of employment is far superior to that of an AP. The trade-off is in the freedom of self-employment. You could argue all day. Bottom line: NEVER criticize the way someone chooses to work for their living. And remember, there will always be someone who makes a better living than you--all the way up to Elon Musk--whether or not they make more money than you.

“Impossible”? Maybe, because it may show you are betting a lot of them and only showing the few winners, even with granted, one very large winner. Still not impossible and not my business, but you’re the one claiming parlays are the way to go.

Leaving the issue as to however monet bets hockey being negative or positive (as it is a game of opinion), all I can say is that if it were positive, and monet doesn't like to shop too much, I would be straight betting $3300 to $4400 a game at optimal odds wherever those odds presented themselves, thus checking half a dozen shops every day. That way, once he found optimal odds for each game, it's likely he could get the $3300 or $4400 down on the game at one place without much trouble. He wouldn't have to rank the shops' odds at those amounts and put some for Team A at one place and more at another.
Two anecdotes regarding parlays --
1) During the first trial of Mike Stockunas (you can google him) in Pennsylvania, Stockunas' assistant was put on the stand. The prosecutor asked him if he took bets for Stockunas over the phone. The assistant said yes. The prosecutor asked what kinds of bets. The assistant answered and made a point to mention parlays. The prosecutor asked the assistant if he could tell the court what a parlay was. The assistant, making the most of his time in the limelight, cleared his throat and said, "Yes. It's a really stupid bet," which resulted in laughter in the courtroom. Note: Stockunas routinely handled asymmetric amounts on games beyond what monet won on the big parlay.
2) I had a dentist friend from Florida, who I occasionally placed a five digit boxing wager for in LV. He often laid odds, especially bets like Over 10 1/2 rounds of 12 round fights and things like that. He said, "Parlays are for poor people." Boz knows what he meant by that, and I had never framed it that way until he said it, but there is that element to it.

Glad I touched a nerve with you with my emails (not letters) to public corporations I own stock in. They were in regards to a situation being presented that was based on claims, a negative situation for them. As for you, I’d also write letters to them advising them to continue to accept your parlays at any level. It’s in the best interest of myself as a shareholder and their own best as well.
Please keep betting them, preferably at Caesars and MGM properties, or William Hill anywhere. It’s how some avoid being the “poor people”.
