IIRC the "18 yos in a row" claim was an off the cuff brainfart which he employed as a form of attention getting quasi-oneupmanship; boy did it backfire.

Obviously he didn't think it through, he didn't realize that in that one instant of time he forever besmirched and sabotaged his internet rep.

Once cornered he has indeed continued to "double down," because in his egomaniacal world there can be no admission of fault and no apology for prevarication.

I don't really know how it started, to be quite honest. I don't know which forum was the first upon which he made his claim, nor do I know how long after the supposed event occurred that he made the first such claim on a forum.

Let's consider this: What other condition would cause someone to storm away from a place and say, "Fuck them if they don't believe me."? I know, if you think you're telling the truth. If you think you're telling the truth and you have a bunch of people accusing you of lying, eventually you're going to say, "Fuck those people."

You worked in the medical field, in general terms, so I'll take for granted that you have a passing knowledge of how that works. Imagine if there were no known fatalities associated with a specific medical procedure. Now, imagine two parents who take their child in for this medical procedure and the surgeon counsels them and says, "It is impossible for there to be a fatality as a result of this procedure."

But then, for the first time ever, a child dies as a direct result of the procedure. Imagine the parents can prove the doctor said, "Impossible." Now the parents say they only agreed to the procedure due to the surgeon's consultation in which he said a fatality is, "Impossible." Those parents are going to sue the shit out of that surgeon, and quite probably win. Again, assuming proof that the surgeon said, "Impossible," and that the death was a direct result of the surgery.

Now, you might say a surgeon would never use a word like, "Impossible." A surgeon would say, "Anything is possible." In my opinion, a good surgeon (or at least one who wanted to cover his ass) would use very specific language like, "There has never been a fatality, to this point, associated with this procedure."

And, that is because words have meaning.

The difference between possible and impossible is, effectively, whether a being or event can exist, have existed or has the future capability to exist.

Look at outer space. How many planets are we aware of that do not have the necessary conditions to sustain humans? I can tell you this, it easily rounds up to 100%. Does that make humans impossible?

Anyway, if you don't want words to have meaning, go talk to someone else. We can't have a debate on equal terms. When I debate, I at least try to do it in such a way that words mean something.

My understanding is that, "Lying," implies an intent to deceive as opposed to the mere act of saying something that is incorrect.

I'm not calling Alan insane, but one example is that it can be argued that truly insane people are incapable of lying, though they may make many incorrect statements about physical reality.

Again, you should read on memories a little and the way the human brain works. I'm sure you have. If you have, then you are aware as I am that it has been found that people often misremember events in a way that is much more dramatic...even occasionally in terms of objective facts...than the event that actually occurred.

Once again, the way that I read Rob Singer's OP, which you might try doing again for context and comprehension, is that he accused me of not acknowledging the mathematical possibility of the event.

I then posted a very short post with a link informing Singer that I made the, "Mathematically possible," argument over five years ago.

I really had no further intent to participate in the thread (other than read it) until Half Smoke addressed me with his 500 Yo's question, at which point I maintained that such is one of many possible results in a five hundred roll set.

You were not satisfied with that and chose to attack that position. Why? I have no idea. I never once said I think Alan's story actually happened.

Anyway, that's the answer for why I posted the link in the first place, because my interpretation of Singer's post was that he was saying that I didn't acknowledge the proper math.

The only reason the WoV morons assert that Alan for some reason lied about seeing this event is because he got on their nerves with his answer to the two dice problem. I disagree with her assertion, but I get where she's coming from, to an extent.

When you have people over here making insulting statements about her appearance for no reason, as little as a few hours ago, knowing damn well she has no plans to come over here and address those statements...what conclusion do you expect her to make about the site?

When I started messing about on Gambling Forums I thought it was going to be a place to talk about gambling and plays and such.

I started with a post about this play at a bar that had Bingo Cards. I didn't tell anyone where the play was. It took months for those members to believe that I wasn't a Sock or that I was a real person in Vegas. Your pal Axelwolf would PM me asking where the play was that he wouldn't burn the play out and only wanted free food at times. LOL! Recently I have been told that Axelwolf is very shady from PMs and real life interactions and to me that is nothing new or unknown. I have been in it and in this town over 20 years now. I live it so these guys can't get over on me. You all want to play make believe and pretend on the forums... go ahead but I will continue to bash that bullshit.

On a positive note Maxpen and RS have been given rave reviews and have high respect in the community but RS can go fuck himself...
