First, I never claimed to know all that much about sports betting did I? For most of my time on this forum, I was a recreational losing sports bettor and presented myself that way. Only in the last year have I started sports betting with an advantage. And that advantage comes from the bonuses. as almost everything I do, pretty elementary. And I don't do any sports betting in Las Vegas (almost all off shore) so no I don't know how that works and have never claimed to.
Now, your comment above, I can say the exact same about you. Shortly after I arrived at this forum there were exactly 2 members, that couldn't seem to understand or figure out why an advantage player, playing Las Vegas for a living, would want.....make that NEED to maintain his anonymity at all costs. Top priority. One of those was the late Alan Mendelson, may he rest in peace. Alan never presented himself as anything other than a recreational gambler who made his living doing something else. So THAT was understandable.
The second person was YOU, a guy who claimed to spend all this time in Las Vegas every year and know how things worked. And yet you couldn't seem to figure out why a player like me needed to remain anonymous as a top priority. I chalked that up to you were not playing games against the casinos as an AP does, so you just didn't know. But still...a guy who claimed to know how Vegas worked. It was actually a red flag for me.....and remains so.
I am in both the top two databases here in Vegas, several times actually. :( I don't say that with pride, as I work hard to stay out of them. But it is an occupational hazard or thing. Several players that know my real name, know that I am, despite the nonsense trolling that occurs on this forum. You know who else I am aware is in the databases. Billy Waters, and Munchkin, and James G are a few I know for sure, plus several other AP's that most of us know, but I won't mention their names. Players like mickeycrimm and axelwolf and a few others on this forum? Don't know...never looked into it, but if I looked into it and had my friend dig a little, I suspect I would find some reference or entry for most of them.
You know who is NOT in the databases, that I am aware of? Rob Singer or his real name (known) Robert Argentino. Neither is the person that posts as Mdawg. What does that tell you? And I am guessing....don't know for sure, but if I were to ask my friend who has access, he wouldn't see the name that you have repeatedly told us is you. Maybe that is not really your name. Or maybe there is something else going on, like an intentional deflect on your part, but a real player that has played and won for years....for decades, doesn't avoid the databases. And a real player for decades, that KNOWS how Vegas works, isn't confused about why real AP's need to remain anonymous.
Let me add, this Red, for the second time today. I still believe that you made a living or if not a living, then some significant supplemental income or money, from activities involving sports betting. I am pretty damn good at knowing who is who and who is just talking. Perhaps I am wrong or misreading. I have been wrong before. And if I am and you aren't who you say or are a recreational type sports bettor rather than someone who makes a living, then I am wrong.
And even if that were the case I don't see the need to go after you as some other are doing. I go after people who's claims might harm other players. I just don't see that from you.
So enjoy your travels to and from Vegas, and your "old fashions" (my grandfather used to drink those ) and what not.

Ah, I didn't realize redietz had been banned from WoV. I was honestly curious about his animus toward Shackleford.
What was the reason for the ban? Do they not allow self-promotion?
ETA - I hadn't noticed redietz' response above before posting this. I'm still curious though.
The Wiz hisownself gave reditetz the old heave ho for insulting and threatening moderators.

No MisterV. I am talking about outside companies that compile a database of cheats and advantage players and then sell that information back to the casinos on a subscription basis. In Las Vegas the biggest two are OSN and Biometrics. Griffin is still around, but they basically pulled out of Vegas after the Grosjean lawsuit and award, when they filed for bankruptcy. They re-emerged in some of the newer markets opening up across the country but they haven't really gained any kind of foothold trying to re-emerge back into Vegas.
The Grosjean lawsuit and verdict turned out to be a negative overall, as when Griffin pulled out, it opened the door for OSN, which was a small regional database serving Indian Casinos, to expand into Vegas to fill that void. And OSN is way more efficient and dangerous than Griffin ever was.
So if you have access to OSN or Biometrics, or even Griffin or another smaller database, you will find no entries mentioning Rob Singer, or his real name, Argentino, nor Mdawg's real name. But if you know my real name you will find multiple entries, as you will with most real AP's if you know their real names.
There was one guy on another forum (blackjack forum) that I didn't even know his real name, until I came across an entry in OSN. Quite a devastating entry, with several very clear head shots of him AND a clear picture of his vehicle and license plate number. It matched everything he had ever said about himself. And he disappeared from the forum shortly after that.
And THAT is why I am very, very careful. I know you people think I am not. You think I am stupid. :)
I don't think any non-blackjack player AP's (fulltime) understand what we deal with. Even AP's involved in other things that have moved away from blackjack and table games. It has started to catch up to them too, but not nearly what blackjack or table game AP's go through. There is a database on the computer right there in the pit of EVERY casino (exception maybe some really small localized joints) with entries including pictures and every other piece of information they can get hold of. Right there in the pit!! All the pit critters have to do is look through it every once in a while. Fortunately most are either bad at their jobs or just don't care enough.
But the point is....no entries involving Singer/Argentino, a guy who claims 4 or 5 different million dollar paydays. No entries involving the great Mdawg, who writes stories of Millions in earnings while the pit folks cheer him on. The very folks that would lose their jobs if even 2% were true. But there are entries and pictures of many real AP's, inclduing a couple on this forum I would bet. I just don't know their names (in most cases), nor want to.
