I love this. Singer proceeds to tell us why his "super duper" progressive betting system is different. Different from all other progressive betting systems. And then proceeds to lay out a very typical betting progression system. :rolleyes:

There is nothing new here, Singer. NOTHING! And it has been proven, many, many times, by people much, much smarter than both you and I that this doesn't work, longterm. No betting system can overcome negative expectation. No betting system can overcome a house edge.

And adding a stop limit to the mix, which also as been thoroughly proven to do absolutely nothing, is NOT the magical bullet that suddenly changes anything. Nothing new here Singer....It's all voodoo and has been mathematically proven so time and time again.

About the only thing I am not sure of is who you are lying to here, the gullible players that believe your nonsense or yourself? :confused: I mean, I KNOW you didn't make 900k, or 1.5 Million profit or whatever number you are using now. I know it! You know it! I think almost everyone has figured THAT out. But maybe you really think that it is possible in which case you are lying to yourself rather than intentionally lying to everyone else. Kewlj once again I don't follow or play by Rob's system. I don't even understand when he changes denomination. But I have a problem with these statements that you made:

No betting system can overcome negative expectation. No betting system can overcome a house edge.

And adding a stop limit to the mix, which also as been thoroughly proven to do absolutely nothing, is NOT the magical bullet that suddenly changes anything.

First, Rob never said he's overcoming negative expectation. The games he plays are always -EV. All he's saying is that he stops playing a session when he happens to be in the plus with money. Lots of people get ahead at some point when playing -EV games. I've interviewed other gaming authors who have said similar things including one author who said that at one point 95% of all visitors to Vegas are ahead at some point.

Second, you keep talking about the house edge as it is a certainty. If a player gets lucky he can win money instead of losing it. If you shift the edge by one percent you can overcome a game with a 0.8% edge.

Third, stop losses do accomplish something. They preserve your bankroll when things are not going your way. Had you used a $5,000 stop loss recently you would not have lost $29,000 in one week.

A stop loss will not make you win and there's no dispute there. But a stop loss will keep you from losing more.

Wouldn't you be better off today having lost $24,000 in one week instead of losing $29,000? Please skip your accumulating EV crap.

A player can win over a day, week even a month playing a -EV game. A player cannot win for years playing a -EV game. If a player has won over year(s) or some other long-term period, playing a -EV game, he has by definition overcome that negative expected value. So Rob doesn't have to say that. If he had in fact won over 10 years (which he did not), he would have had to some how have overcome that negative expectation (-EV).

But don't take my word for it. Maybe you will listen to Dan Druff....a guy who has no dog in this fight....just understands the math (which you obviously don't).

This idiot kew will forever go on saying my strategy can win for X amount of time, but he won't admit that I have never entered his theoretical "long term" because he wants to keep arguing that I have to lose. He's also world-class ignorant to the fact that one does not need to "overcome the negative expectation of a game" in order to win. No matter how many times he wins.

The only reason you can't do it in Calif is because in 1988 while I was working at FOX I did an investigation called "drive by fraud." Scammers would drive by a house, take down the STREET ADDRESS and a quick description of the property, and then using a notary stamp FILE A CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP and take a mortgage on the hiuse. My investigation changed the law in California so that only REAL notaries could get a notary stamp. I testified before the legislature to get the law passed.

First, when Stickman said 51% edge that meant a 151% return. All Stickman did with the simulation is make an estimate because he didn't know the exact math to use, and he couldn't punch the exact numbers into the simulation.If you think I'm wrong here's your chance to rub my nose in it. Report back what these math professors told you.

And I'll refine my answer on the 198% since I used a rounded number the first time.

10.7 X 50 = a total wager of $535
Payoff is $527.51 (98.6% of $535) + $500 = $1027.51
$1027.51 divided by the total wager, $535, = 192%.

Finally, something we are in agreement about! Actually you should have done so about 6 months ago. Because of mention of this site at least on two occasions at one of the more legitimate forums, there was twice, a number of good legitimate members of the AP/Gambling community that visited this site to take a look. A handful signed up, posted once or twice, of those moses and Midwest player have stuck around. But we had the chance for many more, but most took a look and vanished because of you jackoffs.

And I sometimes think the other way as well, that mickey, myself, jbjb, RS, the other AP's and even non-AP that try to contribute in a positive manner should all stop posting and just let this site be you 3 or 4 angry, bitter "haters" talking to yourselves, shades of gambler's glen, when I last checked in a year or so ago. As mickey and red try to make people believe they know the answers to the $10k question by using the "everybody KNOWS I know the answer to THAT easy question" strategy "so there's no need to actually answer it" as a cover-up for their phoniness, I have no problem saying "I don't know". And why is that? Because if this pair of geniuses had the abilities to go back and read history, they'd see my win was broken down into multiple similar winning tickets at different casinos.

I am not an expert in winning tickets totaling $10k as I don't believe I have ever had one (my late partner did).

But in blackjack or other table games it is even worse than that. It's not just a total bet or cashout of $10k, but buy-in as well. A 10k buyin requires a CTR. A player may not win a dime just buy in. AND it is even worse than that. It is buy-in over a single day (casino day). So a player buying in for $3k, 4 different times during the day, the casino is required to issue a CTR. lol. And it could be the same $3000. Suppose he breaks even or wins/losses some small amount, cashes out and buys in 3 more times with that same money. He gets a CTR. Makes no sense. :( And not only that, but the casino is responsible for tracking that....even if a player is playing unrated.

However, I personally have never understood the negative connotation associated with CTR (other than it wastes time). For AP's, CTR are easily explained. Even for a recreational non-AP player, a CTR is no big deal. Easily offset in most cases. If you are playing enough to win that kind of money, you probably have losses to offset it.

IMO, what is far worse than CTR is SAR (suspicious activity reports), The player person that generates the report often doesn't even know that the report has been generated and sent. And the triggers for such a report are very vague. In a bank frequent deposits and withdraws of just a couple thousand dollars (it is supposed to be $3000) can generate a SAR. In a casino a cashier that thinks a player may be breaking up cashouts can generate a SAR (without even informing the player). There is way too much discretion.

CTR is not that big of a deal. It essentially gets warehoused and ignored unless there is something else that causes further review such as an SAR or an income tax audit or similar situation.

You are better off not trying to avoid the $10,000 transaction by using multiple transactions (Structuring) as that will lead to further examination.

Didn't Caesars get in trouble a few years ago for not filing CTR's?

Looks like their problem was more related to SARs.

How does the casino keep track of multiple buy-ins? (assuming the patron is playing unrated)

The CTR form and requirements include SSN. Therefore, the logical assumption would be that they can refuse the transaction if they would then be unable to complete the form. But I don't know that for a fact. If I were a bank, I would refuse without a social.

The casino is supposed to keep track of multiple transactions, and they do have procedures for that. For someone like Kewl ( or at least per Kewl's question) who may buy in several times a day, anonymously, if they are on the ball they should at some point ask for full ID so they can file the report or refuse his cash. But realistically, are they watching that closely and do they really want to create the hassle and send him packing? Both the player and the casino hate the law so would it be surprising if the system failed in such cases.

They DO start badgering you for your social if you are buying in for a lot of cash and it looks like you might approach $10,000. Of course, the player is free to decline while still under 10k . If you hit $10,000 and refuse to give a social they will stop dealing to you.

How about for machine play?

For example, say you are an AP on a play.

Your main objective is to hit the jackpot, but you also use your players card so that you can accumulate cash back, free play, comp and whatever other offers that make the play +EV.

Should you find yourself stuck for $10K+ chasing the play, does the casino issue a CTR?

I'm not sure that the requirements for a players card include providing a ss#...assuming a players card does not require a ss#, will a casino rep approach the player and request a ss# so that the CTR from can be completed?

I've lived in many hotels in my life. I was living in one when I wrote that on WoV. It was a pretty good deal at the time. I payed $650 a month for a remodeled suite that included maid service. Axel, you're like the dumb guy in the corner who looks like he never gets it---and never does.

First, only you would think what mickey said was a "good one". It was stupid, predictable, and it wasn't even the least bit humorous. Are you THAT desperate for entertainment?

Then, Mickey gets the insults about his life-long non-existent sex life because, well, that's exactly what type of sex life would you'd expect a life long loner/loser drifter with nothing to his name to have. Yes....an intimate relationship with Rosie Palmer of course! Now if he had chosen a productive life and wasn't so lazy all his years and actually worked for a living, he might have had a relationship or two--and maybe even a wife or a girlfriend--and finished his miserable life off with some dignity.
