QFit certainly got what he wanted, but unlike so many other people with no evidence to back up their bare conjecture, I'm not going to speculate as to why. I don't think it was you, but one or more people even speculated that QFit might have dirt on him. What dirt? Please. He's got a few million reasons not to care.

Anyway, I've already agreed that you shouldn't have been Nuked for that. Would you have gotten yourself Nuked eventually if QFit and yourself had kept on the way you were? Probably both of you would have.

What's the end result of both getting Nuked? Neither of you would post there anymore. You got Nuked. End result? Neither of you really posted there anymore.

I believe I was an Admin at the time, so I can reveal that I think I was made aware of the, "Truce," after the fact. In any event, it wasn't discussed with me prior to the truce being agreed upon. I think I was just informed that the two of you shouldn't be talking to the other.

What price? The REAL price you paid is the one you charged yourself when you allowed it to consume almost everything you did and said on the Forums for three years. That's one difference we have: You cannot ever let things go; I am almost totally apathetic to everything as long as I am mostly being left alone. If you added those aspects of us together and divided by maybe three, we'd be a mentally healthy person.

Look, I could get Nuked from WoV today and do you know what the result would be? I wouldn't give a shit. They have plenty of other sites I can write for (and do). What? Even if you disbelieve his specific results, what difference does it make? Unless he specifically identifies an AP mechanism, or describes a new and unknown (to most) one, then he doesn't have a winning system.

If he's playing with a system or method, he WILL LOSE in the long run, but I hope he doesn't. I don't pull for anyone to lose.

Another thing: If it was really that bad, then I (as an admin) would say that if I get another PM requesting action, and you are wrong, then you're gone. Of course, I read all threads except politics, so it could be assumed I saw the post and took no action.

Not disturbed or anything, just shocked being that Dan mostly stayed silent with Rob Singer. And I don't buy the difference of selling his scam. Rob Singer published 2 books! And claims to have trained people privately. Do you think that was for free? Singer attempted to make money, just wasn't very good at it.

Now Mdawg, it doesn't appear is trying to monetize his scammy claims. He is just a narcist that wants the attention. But that doesn't make all that much difference to me. Mdawg is using a platform like WoV to make his claims. That gives him the credibility of WoV. So there are people reading and who will read in the future believing this shit because they read it on Michael Shackleford's WoV. They go out and lose there money trying to win at baccarat, because Mdawg claims to win for 100 straight days. Does it really make any difference whether they paid for that scam on top of it. They were scrammed. The only way that stops is legitimate players calling out this bullshit.

The point I was making is, he did everything to avoid/ deflect the whole meet up for the most part, then when a paltry amount of money was offered he jumped immediately. Very similar principle, to the whole "Tin Cup fiasco days before the 2.2 mil sale. Anything for him to make a buck or two decimating what little integrity he has. My opinion he has none.

After I was banned, when Mike and I were still talking, before he shutdown all avenues of communication, one of the last things he said to me was "If I didn't like it, there was a whole forum of people bashing him that I should join". That forum was gambling forum. I knew nothing of it at the time. So I did as Mike suggested. Mickey was there, Axelwolf was there. Other from here as well. Eventually that forum owner doxxed someone and it lead to a mass exodus which landed us here.

So me bashing Mike at gambling Forums and eventually here, was at his direct suggestion. Just doing what he told me. :cool:

I question if he “never” reads stuff from here. I don’t think any of those who still communicate with him run to him with the information, but I’m thinking he visits from time to time. It’s human nature to see what others think of you. He’s not exactly a famous person to 99.9% of the country so there aren’t many places he is discussed from him to check in on.

I remember when WoV was the "lair of the Math Boyz," a forum where math was king and bullshit was immediately sniffed out and derided if the claim was not supported by the math.

Newbies would pop in and ask math-related questions and get a straight answer.

The idea that a fuckwit like DoofDawg would have been tolerated pre-sale to the Serbs seems impossible to believe; oh he might have been toyed with initially for shits and giggles but in the end he'd have been ridden out on a rail.

But a lot of the old guard have left; this was partly due to Darkoz exposing a profitable AP play, and the remainder due to a dislike of Mike's moderation and the incrasingly non-Math-based tenor of the place.

Math Boyz want to hang with Math Boyz, not with self-promoting flim flam artists who piss all over the math of gambling as well as themselves.

I know you play for a living, but I tend to get the impression you think posting on forums is your living.

In terms of fairness, how does it rank compared to starving children or a family's house burning down? It seems that you're more worried about MDawg's claims than you are the people who seem to be on here to discredit AP's---which should be the real insult to you, if you cared. I care equally about either of those things, which is almost zero.

The only thing I can do is say that systems don't work and Baccarat is a losing game in the long run, absent some AP mechanism. I have said as much many times in his thread. If people still think they are, "Learning," how to play Baccarat, go out, and lose their shirts...well, I did more to prevent that than I was required to do, didn't I?

I'd have probably done it for $500 if someone asked me, of course, assuming they were covering my flight, room and food...all of which I would keep as cheap as possible. If I happen to be out in Vegas, I'll meet up with MDawg for $0.00, chew the fat about music, whether or not he wants to demonstrate any of his claims to me is up to him. I don't really care to watch anyone play Baccarat, though.

I completely agree with this. If you have some expertise, you owe it to civilians to call out the nonsense. If you do not, then you're part of the problem. This means Shackleford is part of the problem.

Mission says none of this fucking matters. I think what matters is what we have the ability to fix or at least begin to fix. We solve what what we can. Most things are beyond our powers. And, for those few things we can impact, if we have the ability or the experience to solve something, we should. Mission has the experience and the ability to weigh in and try to fix this. He doesn't.

So Mission, the Steve Stevens scam artist on the "Money Talks" television show on CNBC. Should I have stayed quiet regarding him? Because "none of this fucking matters?"

So I was surprised at Mission's position or lack thereof. I will be writing about this whole thing down the road, so I decided to do some cogitating.

And then it hit me: the difference between those who are supportive or neutral regarding the MDawg stories on the two forums, and the people who are most annoyed. They divide into two distinct populations.

This isn't complete unanimous, but for the most part, the people most annoyed by MDawg (kewlJ, EV, MrV. Boz, now myself since his stuff became cartoonish, to a lesser extent BoSox, AndrewG) are people who either gamble for a living or gamble large amounts. They do or have done what I would refer to as serious gambling. The people who are neutral or support MDawg do not gamble serious amounts of money. And before somebody mentions The Wiz, let me say that you can tell, by the kinds of things Shackleford has posted in the past (with pics) that he's not a big player.

While not unanimous, that seems to be the theme. The higher the roller, so to speak, the more annoying the win/win/win fantasy is to the person. I find that fascinating. The bigger the player, the more, to paraphrase Mission, the nonsense fucking matters.

I'll take the time to address this post because it's well-thought out and articulated.

1.) It depends on what you mean by, "Calling out the nonsense." Baccarat systems don't work, have failed in the past and will continue to fail after I am dead---assuming that people are still playing Baccarat by then. In MDawg's thread, I mentioned several times that Baccarat is a negative expectation game and that, given enough time (and absent some AP tactics), 100% of negative EV Baccarat players will eventually lose-system or no system. I have said that MDawg, personally, would lose if only if were able to play enough, and again, absent any sort of AP tactic or external factor that might swing the EV.

The nonsense in the thread is any attempt to discredit the claims as to his personal results (until they become statistically virtually impossible) with nothing more than conjecture. We have hit a point where some of these claims (assuming the meetup with Wizard happens) will either be supported, somewhat supported or demonstrated to be bullshit.

That aside, suggesting that MDawg's reporting of his results is extremely unlikely is perfectly fine. I could demonstrate that if I knew his exact playing parameters. Calling the claims as to his results categorically untrue is not a mathematically valid thing to do, so I am actually in that thread defending the math. Whatever his system is, you could run 10,000 simulations playing the same number of hands (however many he has played) and the results would almost certainly show a few players are ahead.

As to winning however many sessions in a row---what I'll say about that is that MDawg seems inconsistent in what he calls a, "Session." He hasn't stated any absolute rules for his playing parameters and his reports of his actual play have slightly contradicted what parameters have been stated. I think he'd even admit that.

So, it's for me to do a, "Reality Check," just that systems don't work and Baccarat is a negative EV game. Between WoV and WoO, there is a myriad of good and mathematically sound gambling information, so I really think that people getting so worried about one thread about one individual is a greatly exaggerated thing to do. Sure, more people could spring up, but then you would just consolidate all trip reports pertaining to using a system into one thread and retitle it, or just consolidate all trip reports into one thread entirely.

2.) To your second paragraph, I have weighed in to the extent that Baccarat is a negative expectation game and 100% of players will eventually be on the losing end. I have repeated this on many occasions in MDawg's thread. I don't know what else you could possibly want from me in that regard.

I also think you're mistaking my unwillingness to attack someone's credibility without proof for a total unwillingness to attack someone's credibility. Do I believe every word MDawg writes? Not really, but it doesn't matter. I don't have to believe it. However, let's not get it confused that not believing in something and saying it is definitively untrue are two different things. Again, I don't even see the point in being harshly antagonistic without proof. I will say that I think there is more than zero truth to MDawg's claims, but I think they are less than 100% accurate.

You'll also recall I defended 18's Yos in a row as, "Theoretically possible." Well, it is. I'm sorry that math doesn't always do what you want it to.

3.) To the next two sentences: As far as I can tell, MDawg is not trying to sell his system in any way. If there was any evidence to support an accusation, then I'd go after him vociferously and examine every word of his posts for contradictions. I don't see that he's encouraging anyone else to play Baccarat directly, but you can correct me if I'm wrong.

Again, unlike a few of you, I have not read every post he has ever written.

4.) I don't think being a gambling writer and a small-time AP changes anything. The math supports what the math supports. If the math says, "Very unlikely," that's still not the same thing as, "Absolutely not," with respect to one person's claims. Again, I'm sorry if you consider it a personal disservice that the math doesn't say what you want it to say.

To wit, suppose session parameters resulted in a probability of winning an individual, "Session," 90% of the time, the odds against winning fifty sessions in a row would be less than 200:1. That's not Earth-shattering mathematical unlikelihood.

5.) Going back to #1-#3---I have said in that thread, and I quote, "The best way to play Baccarat is---1.) Don't play Baccarat..." so if you think I'm not weighing in, then you're just not seeing what you don't want to be there and I can't help you with that.

6.) To be clear, I'm not neutral on the claims that his systems works. It doesn't. No system does. I'm neutral on the subject of his trip reports because I have no evidence for or against.

First off, what would the possible reason(s) be for NOT wanting someone to keep an accurate record when you're wagering? Think about that for awhile.

Then, ask yourself the question, what would the possible reason(s) be for NOT wanting someone to keep a formal tally if you win almost all of the time. Ponder that for a second or two.

Next, ask yourself the question, hmmm, let's say you DO NOT actually win most of the time, would there be any reason(s) for NOT wanting an observer to keep a log?

Well, it turns out, there are specific answers to that last question. Just put yourself in the shoes of someone who needs to look as if they win. Can anything be done (without a log book) to make a losing session appear as a winning session to the formal observer?

The answer, of course, is yes. And there are multiple problems with not keeping a log book.

For one example, think about how people playing craps, for example, can get rated as having lost when they've won. Reverse it. For another, think about why modern poker tournaments bag and seal chips at breaks. Poker tournaments did not always do this, and if you've seen the ESPN poker series, Tilt, you get an inkling of why they do. Next, consider the issues with a lengthy session where either the player or the formal observer take bathroom breaks. If a session is lengthy (and the length here is being determined by the player), there are all kinds of issues with chip counts and amounts when either the player or observer are not in each other's presence. Plus then you have the old, "I need to take this call. Signal in here is bad" schtick, where someone can acquire chips off table out of sight to muddle any accounting.

MDawg doesn't want people to know what his actual bet sizes are since it wouldn't line up with his claims of being a high roller winning all that money he claims to win.

He did claim to have a rich father, it would make lots of sense if all his claims are twisted from some actual things his father has and does. That would give him just the right amount of access to things such as account login's etc. and it would explain some of the psychology behind all this.

Kewlj obviously said the nasty rants against Wizard out of anger at being banned over something that happened at another unrelated Website.... I also went on a very nasty rant against Wizard myself after my unexpected ban from WOV (And then DT)when I felt Wizard played, used, and manipulated me. I asked the Admin of that board to delete the nasty rant against Wizard, but no such luck. Thank God that nasty rant ended up going into the Oblivion Abyss. I also made nasty rants against WOV itself out of anger at my banning. On another Website, someone who had been banned from a Website that had an Admin named John said something like,"I ragged on John The Admin for two months after my permanent banning, before FINALLY acknowledging that my banning was my own fault, LMAO!"

I had to acknowledge that I made the equivalent of bad Gambling bets with the Cussing Rant and then admitting to the Socks(I still don't know why I thought admitting to the Socks was going to get me reinstated. I was REALLY desperate to get back on WOV when I did that out if sheer desperation. MDawg doesn't want to allow pen-and-paper logging of his bets. Check out WoV for the ongoing issue.

What this means is (A) his bet sizing must be magic or (B) by starting with 8K at the table and no bet logging, he can introduce more chips at any point in time, either when the formal observer isn't present (bathroom break, phone call, confederate introduces more chips when player away from table, out-of-pocket introduction, introduction by the dealer if one-on-one, etc.).

This doesn't even get into having some "stranger" at the table making opposite mirror bets to MDawg, thereby allowing much larger bets to be made with very little risk. As AxelWolf would know, the old "darksider at the table" trick. I happen to like this angle, as it's similar to middles shooting in sports bets as a way of establishing comp ratings.


Now, you want speculation? MDawg, coach, "MarcusClark," and the whole crew were not anticipating that people hadn't fallen off turnip trucks. Coach is wrangling behind the scenes to do the thing anyway, because what the hell, you have a 70% or more chance of winning with a little martingaling. But MDawg is a little concerned because, well, there's a chance he loses, and that blows an awful of typing during his unbeaten streak.

If you'll notice, coach and MarcusClark have gotten a little testy since last night. With a logging of bets, MDawg's opportunities for a guaranteed win get dramatically reduced. It would be a terrible story if Dawg lost in his first monitored outing.

I don't know what's more comical -- that MDawg doesn't want his bets logged, or that coach is likely trying to convince MDawg that the show should go on with bet logging.

Oh yes, one other thing. It might be helpful if Dan Druff chimed in about the ways poker players used to augment their chips at tournament tables back before the bagging rules were employed. Not terribly difficult, to say the least. And occasionally, someone still tries to pull it off today. It helps to have formal accounting in poker tournaments.

And finally, somebody please tell me that MDawg has more than an 8K credit line. Please. I would think if I were showing off, I would show off more than an 8K credit line.

Even if recording the average bet were a part of the terms - it is not - the only accurate way to decide this wager is to track from the point of view of a pit boss, i.e. the same as any pit boss would track play. Stepping back a little from this, if it were MY money on this wager and I were ExpectedValue, I would opt for a pit boss like record of activity. Monitor the bets to make sure terms are being adhered to, keep track of free hands, tally of chips before and after, watching to make sure no outside chips introduced to the table.

Expecting the Wizard to record each and every hand result accurately is not realistic. He's standing behind me, the casino might not even let someone who is not betting sit down, and he's supposed to mark every single bet as to exact amount wagered and won or lost, also keeping track of commission that is accumulating in the tray, and maintain an accurate running tally, are you serious?
Which makes me think that ExpectedValue doesn't really even care about the end result - maybe he is more interested in getting a record of my action, accurate or not. But, that's not what this bet is about.

If you look at the Wager it sets some terms. There is nothing in what we agreed to stating that some detailed report must be made. I will allow the Wizard to record HOWEVER he chooses, each and every hand if he chooses, and then he will report the end result, win or loss, no more. This is a win or lose matter and that's all there is to it.
