So I can guarantee that prior to the day that he banned me, Mike Shackleford had never visited ZenZoneforum. I would go as far to say, he had never even heard of the forum. And I can equally guarantee that he has not visited since. Yet somehow on the day I posted, Shackleford read what I posted and within 2 hours, banned me for it. Thanks for the warnings KJ & Monet. I did think of that when I posted it, and if it happens, it happens. Honestly I don’t get much off of that forum anymore. I give it credit for allowing me to meet many good people and learn a lot over the years. But most of that is long gone. I used to add AC info years ago, and many times got hit for putting too much info out there. The past few years have been mostly nonsense like arguing politics. Or aggregating myself with jackasses like Bill, Stevorina and ZK. Even though we agree on next to nothing, I like and respect AMS and Terrapin. Just my opinion, sure I’m not Billys favorite either.
I will say in all the years I posted there, I never had anyone screw me over or even try. I made money and the knew enough to avoid WoN. As you guys have shown, there is life after banishment.

Another situation has developed at WoV where a long time member, Crystalmath, having never been suspended before, has taken two suspensions within a week, and of course was martingaled. CM is a video game designer and knows his stuff, especially the math. His posts have always been high quality content. And he has stayed out of the fray when arguments break out. But it looks like he finally grew weary of Michael Bluejay's condescending attitude and said something about it. MB used to be a moderator on the site and may have had something to do with it's creation. The suspension of CM came straight from Shack. It's clear Shack is protecting MB from criticism.
It will be interesting to see what CM will do when his latest suspension is over. Will he come back? Will he resign? Will he continue to criticize MB? It looks to me like Shack is quite willing to get rid of a very valuable member and let MB continue with his condescending attitude. Shack has said absolutely nothing to MB about his attitude.
The biggest sleazeball on the site is billryan. This lowlife prick needs his ass kicked. He's a bottomfeeding hustler and works the government freebies all the while running down the people paying the taxes to feed his punk ass. A true slimeball if there ever was one. He's taken 5 suspensions, some of them very close, but has never been given more than three days. He wasn't taking any suspensions until enough heat was put on Babs to do her job. Here's the thing Boz. On the blackjack forum, I only posted about blackjack. And most of the discussion was about....blackjack (surprise). Lots of different opinions. Lots of different methods and players using different approaches. But when someone came along making ridiculous claims like a 5% advantage card counting using a super duper count, yeah, I don't like it. That can't be done. That is unicorn shit. 18 y.o's in a row shit. Mathematically impossible. I called it out, as did others and the result was I was banned. :confused: And I have since been proven right as one of the great math guys Don Schlesinger eventually called this nut job out (and continues to fairly regularly). Same thing I said 4 years ago.
Now WoV, was probably the forum that I enjoyed the most. I got to talk a little blackjack, share some of my experiences. I also got to occasionally learn a bit from some of the tight lipped machine players. :rolleyes: And I got to talk a little sports and even occasionally politics that I sometimes enjoy. 4+ years, 3200+ posts. I didn't engage with the trolls very often. Was suspended one time for 3 days for calling EvenBob a jackass. (was I wrong? :confused:)
It still stings that someone came to the site (WoV), who didn't participate there, didn't intend to participate there and as a matter of fact had publicly stated he wouldn't participate there because he didn't trust Shackleford, and was able to demand and manipulate Mike to get rid of me. Now I want to address this stupid shit about my brother. What the fuck is this doubling my income shit? My brother and I just finished our second year as partners and we split profits 50-50. And truth be told I earn more than 50% of EV because I play slightly higher limits sometimes and because I track a second table when I can, bumping up my expected value. So I earn a bit more than 50% but we spllt 50-50. So it actually costs me a little by having him as my partner and that is the way I wanted it while he gains experience.
Unfortunately we will not be partnering next year. He wants to play on his own and answer to no one other than himself. I think he is passing on a good opportunity for him, but I respect his decision and will still help him every way I can.

Mickeycrimm you should go back and reread the discussions. What made the answer 1/11 is that it was not known which die showed a two. But when one specific die is known to be a two, then the answer is 1/6.
Roll two dice on your floor and see that one die has settled on two. Does the second die have six sides or 11?
Now put two dice in a cup and hand the cup to your friend. Your friend tells you truthfully that at least one die shows a 2. Now the answer is 1/11 because you don't know which die has been identified.
In the original problem if you took the position of the peeker (which I did) the answer is 1/6.
And the reason I never took the Wizards bet was because 2-2 is a 1/36 event. It is not 1/6, or 1/11.

It would be 9% house edge. Game designers always submit their new games to others for mathematical analysis to insure they haven't made any math errors. You can do the same with this one. I actually submitted this to a group of college math professors online when it was first being argued here. There was a conversation about it among them and they all had the same conclusion: WHEN AT LEAST ONE OF THE DICE IS A 2 IT'S 1 IN 11 THAT THE OTHER DIE IS A 2.
One of them actually came to this site to try to explain it but after getting a dose of Alan's whacked out math and non-sensical statements over it--and insisting that he, Alan, was right, the math professor said to hell with it and left.
