Stupid thread I don't think so, it has been a nice party.

Alan banned my ThomasClines account, for suggesting, along with Singer, that Alan had a gambling problem, and, Druff banned my OneHitWonder account, for posting up a picture of an "AP gun" with bent-backward barrel, in a newbie thread about the benefits of gambling. The latter OP, very likely, was the last bit of "fresh blood", before promptly "heading for the hills".

Up to now, results inconclusive. KewlJ hasn't voted and his vote could turn the tide away from him and leave Rob Singer or Garnabby in the lead. It seems KewlJ would vote twice for Rob Singer and leave Rob Singer the most deployable of deplorables.
I still don't get how Garnabby got SIC votes for most Despised VCT Member. The ONLY things that Posters don't like about Garnabby is his hijacking threads with anagrams and numerology. Nothing too bad like Doxxing Posters or insulting them.

Tasha, every one in here is slip, sliding away at the "game of life". So, it's not really, in theory, or, actually, in practice, the anagrams with gematria that frightens them, but, someone with other plans.

Taibbi discusses 9/11 conspiracy theories as symptomatic of what he calls the "derangement" of American society; a disconnection from reality due to widespread "disgust with our political system". Drawing a parallel with the charismatic movement, he argues that both "chose to battle bugbears that were completely idiotic, fanciful, and imaginary", instead of taking control of their own lives. While critical, Taibbi explains that 9/11 conspiracy theories are different from "Clinton-era black-helicopter paranoia", and constitute more than "a small, scattered group of nutcases ... they really were, just as they claim to be, almost everyone you meet."
I suppose it is a surprise Mdawg got no votes. I have nothing against him besides I don't like how he always uses quotes in much excess considering they aren't a part of the current thread. I have never been very interested reading his threads about whatever he claims his life is
true or false I care less.
This would be contrary to the premise of the book you mentioned, The Great Derangement, if I understand the premise correctly from reading the summary.
The book argues that Americans cannot agree on one reality or one set of objective facts.
So the book appears to be arguing that different versions of reality can be nurtured & that is the whole issue.
But nobody knows the true nature of reality except for the true nature of reality to them specifically. If every human was completely colorblind except for one, then the one non colorblind person who perceived the sky as blue would be considered as someone out of touch with reality.
As out of touch, with reality, as to be back in touch, with reality. In other words, the original/final expression, theme, or dimension, of the universe must somehow overlay, or coincide with, the stuff of the universe; so as not to be yet another thus extension of it. The theory of everything already exists among us. Something new, from the old, which remains a part of each.
