This is good Mickey! Made me laugh. Where do you find this stuff? Does someone send it to you, or do you just read a lot?

Interesting opinion. A cynical person such as myself would ask what the hell are you taking about.
Are you saying these people are better off not working and collecting more money off UC with the extra $600 a week?
Are you saying they don’t want to work and are lazy?
Are you saying that those highest at risk (65+, pre existing conditions) are the majority of service workers?
Are you saying with your stats that 40% of Americans make less than $10.00 an hour?
Are you saying everyone calling for the reopening of America is in the safety of a luxury box? Saying this makes these super-capitalists nothing more than hypocrites and cowards. Does this include the thousands in Michigan yesterday?
The millions on Facebook calling for the same? They are not regular Americans, but super rich not actually speaking for themselves?
Amazing someone who built their career on hard work and being responsible for their income seems to think they are superior to these Americans and know what’s best for them and what they are thinking.i would love to know your angle on this. Are you personally scared? If so nothing wrong with it, stay inside for the next 2 years or as long as you feel you need. Order everything online, don’t touch it for a week to be safe and plan ahead. Oh, and order your absentee ballot now so you can be ready to vote for good old Joe. Because that is what this is about for most doomsday believers when they are truthful.
Stealing someone else’s quote.....Weird, just weird.
Point by point:
1) They're infinitely better off not working than getting COVID-19.
2) I'm saying they don't want to get sick at a disproportionate rate to the one percenters.
3) Your "highest risk" is of dying. Certainly the 10 most common occupations are at "highest risk" compared to one-percenters for getting ill.
4) The stat is of the bottom 40% of American wage earners, the median wage is 20k. And actually, I fudged that one up. The income is lower. This ain't 1950.
5) The face of Michigan yesterday (and Kentucky today) looks like the same face that thought spreading coronavirus was a great way to bring down the "deep state." In fact, more than a month ago, members of white nationalist groups were arrested. They had called for their members to purposefully get infected because it was their duty to spread the virus. Michigan, if you'll recall, has been an origin point for both the larger militias and white nationalist groups going back decades.
6) I expect "millions on Facebook" are representative of something. Are they outnumbered by people who don't want second and third waves? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
I have no idea what you mean by "stealing someone else's quote." If by that you mean accurately quoting someone and holding them to the unvarnished meaning of what they have publicly said, well, that is why we have print.
If anyone didn't realize the amount of problems residing inside red's head yesterday, they certainly should today.
Be very vigilant when he solicits you for betting money.
Like most liberal elitists, dietz thinks he knows what’s best for individuals better than they could ever decide for themselves, they couldn’t possibly achieve better without his vision for them. Just sad.
I’m thinking liberal politicians love the Coronavirus, they’ve never seen so much government control over people’s lives even in their wildest dreams.
Newsom says Cali won’t open up until there’s herd immunity or a vaccine now, pretty tough to develop herd immunity locking all the low risk groupme inside indefinitely.
PS. Redietz sent me an unsolicited PM a few weeks back, not one I could win the contest with though.
I get a bunch of it from Biz Pac Review.. Here's a link. Sign up for their email newsletter and they'll send you some juicy stuff every day or so. The libtards will poo poo it as right wing, hence no credibility. But they deliver facts. In this case it was a fact that Pelosi made that little speech for the camera in chinatown/San Francisco in Feb. It is a fact that she put the film bit up on her twitter account shortly afterwards. It is a fact she removed it after the coronavirus hit.
That's what I look for in any kind of news, facts, real facts. And I check to make sure the facts are right. The problem with the left wing news so much of it gets debunked.
https://r.search.yahoo.com/_ylt=AwrW...DZCCLjnrBqYCE-
Redietz, the people with the highest risk of dying are not in those "high risk occupations" you listed. They may have been in their younger days but the real high risk group are the Social Secuity class. 90% of the deaths are for age 60 and older. Hardly anyone under the age of 50 is dying. Yes, I know, the youngsters may not die from it but they supposedly spread it around.
I think it is very important for the real high risk group, the old folks, to self quarantine and social distance, until conditions vastly improve. But let the youngsters get back to work.
PS: You should change the name of your blog to The Skeptical Marxist.
Point one makes it clear where you stand and I appreciate you putting it out there.
You feel NO ONE should be working in service industry jobs while infection is a possibility. You want all restaurants and grocery stores shut down. Even though most of these people are not at risk of dying ( to most of us, you seem to think everyone will die of it), you want to PAY them to sit at home. Basically you want the country to shut down because people may end up on the toilet with a high fever.
While you have come off as unhinged during this, you are getting worse. The constant bashing of people who have more than you (maybe, don’t know your finances) makes no sense. These people are keeping America going while you are shacked up like Howard Hughes, afraid of your shadow. Now you think we all should be like you, never leaving the house.
I’m sure they are proud you are sticking up for their best interests, while they are working to feed their families, along with all of ours.
Is it any wonder many say liberalism is a disease?
As for the stealing someone’s quote, it was me stealing Singers about you. It took me years, but I know understand why he replies to you with “Weird, just Weird”.
Did you know that 1.35 million people around the world die in car crashes every year? About 230,000 of them occur in the U.S.A. That's about 630 people a day here in the U.S. However, the number will be down this year because highway fatalities have plummeted during the coronavirus shutdown. The American economy will open back up sooner or later. Just think, if we all agree not to drive, of all the lives we can save.
HOW MANY ARE WILLING TO QUIT DRIVING TO SAVE THOSE LIVES?
Redietz, are you willing to give up driving to save those lives? I'm personally not willing to give up driving to save those lives. And I doubt anyone else here is willing. And I don't think that makes us terrible people. We've come to accept that some will die in order for us to have the freedom of driving.
However, some, like redietz think that everyone should be willing to accept economic hardship to save a few lives. If you look at the coronavirus death stats the young and healthy are not really dying off. Should those age brackets be made to suffer economic hardship to save a few lives?
At my age and condition I'm in the high risk group. I need to continue to quarantine and social distance. But it's not that hard to do because I'm retired. Most all of us in the high risk group are retired. And if not retired should do so. We should not be a heavy burden to the young folks, the kind of burden redietz thinks we should be.
Let the youngsters get back to work.
A month ago!! Monet told us it was “only going to be two weeks” of restrictions. Meanwhile he was running around buying up all the guns and ammo and dozens of lbs of meat and stuff. Bullshit.
I said this thing would only have two weeks of restrictions but I went out buying up a bunch of guns, ammo, food and other supplies??
I am pretty sure I was posting that we could be in serious danger of Marital Law and Armed Lock Down.
I recall posting that shutting down the economy was far worse than anything that the virus was going to do.
I could ramble on like usual but I will spare you and the rest of the forum of that nonsense.
If I posted that this was only going to last two weeks I would like to see the quote.
I will go back and check my history.
I may have said some sarcastic shit like that.
I am pretty sure I was posting about the end of America as we know it and that an individual should get what they can while they can before the grocery stores and banks close down for good.
Like I say if I was saying anything contradictory to that belief I certainly apologize.
I went from resident doom and gloom poster to poster boy for only 2 week restrictions!
Well you usually said lol afterwards, don’t bother going back and looking for them.
I don't mind if you want to bash me.
Call me any name you want.
I am a bad guy and I get that.
It does sting a bit to tell me that I wasn't taking any of this seriously when I have been spending thousands of dollars on supplies.
I am posting how much I spend on shopping.
I post up some of my arsenal.
My point has always been that I could care less about the virus and at worst we would lose about 1% or 3.3 Million Americans.
My worry is that the Government is taking over and not going to give any control back.
I thought most of my posts made that clear and that I believed people should stock up while they were legally allowed to.
Not sure how we went from all that to: "Monet said it was only going to last 2 weeks" but I get it if you were just needling me.
I guess it isn't too hard to troll me and get me to respond.
We're Cool.

Redietz, is this the model you used to make all your doom and gloom predictions?
https://r.search.yahoo.com/_ylt=AwrU...VOFPMKD4X_Lfg-
I was reading that Whitmer shut down many Non-Essential Medical and Dental Procedures.
However, she said that Abortions are Imperative and Essential.
Heil Whitmer... this lady in the pic spelled it wrong but I get the point.
Good story on how flawed the model used to project deaths could be.
Basically they overprojected and now are saying measures put into place made the initial projections incorrect to justify their mistakes. And now we risk keeping America locked down under that false assumption.
It’s a good read for anyone that has the time. Of course Howard Hughes Redietz walking around in his paper towel covered house will say we need to go with the 1918 model. Hopefully he doesn’t use 100 year old figures in his sports picks. Guess he hasn’t got over betting it all on the 1919 Chicago White Sox.

Another thing I picked up on this morning. The first case of swine flu in U.S was in early April, 2009. A vaccine was in use by October 2009, just six months later.
Something many of us have been saying for a while. Stanford, certainly not a conservative college feels in their area up to 80x more people have been infected.
“That said, the early findings indicate that between 48,000 and 81,000 residents in Santa Clara County were infected as of April 1, back when the official count was 956. The estimate is based on 3,330 blood samples that were taken from volunteers in Mountain View, Los Gatos and San Jose on April 3 and April 4 and tested for antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 .”

Certainly not good news for Howard Hughes and his Chicken Little 1918 nonsense.
It still comes back to 99.9% of people who are not in the High Risk groups get sick and move on. Unless of course you work for CNN and get it, then you make it sound like you wanted to die.
History will show this as Political and an Overreaction that hurt the country financially for years.
This came from Ann Coulter:
With cities and states facing huge budget deficits from shutdown, who should be laid off first?
Police
Fire Fighters
EMTs

That’s a good question for MidWest Player. He’s the one who’s proud of voting for these liberal Democrats.
That’s right, I almost forget, MWP is really an “Independent”. But everybody knows what a true “Independent” is...it’s a Democrat that is too embarrassed to admit they’re a Democrat.
More wasted tax dollars in California. Damn they hate their citizens.

“An oceanfront skate park at the Venice Beach Boardwalk has been covered in sand to deter people from visiting during state and county stay-at-home orders”
Typical liberals, we know what’s best for you. Any American Citizen stuck in that shithole deserves what they get at this point. It’s clear the government hates Americans and loves illegals.
Pretty harsh, but pretty accurate assessment there Boz....As someone that was born and raised here, I can tell you it was not always like this. There are many things about Cal, and particularly SoCal that are great, and up until 5 or so years ago I couldn`t imagine living anywhere else....but with this tree hugging liberal government here seemingly embracing every immigrant mutt and filthy hobo on the planet, its no longer what it was....The bums and illegal cockroaches are welcomed here with open arms. You can`t really go to any establishment without someone trying to speak Spanish to you, or go to the market without seeing some fat pig with ankles the size of grapefruits and wearing flip flops and toting around her 6 kids while her husband stands in front of a Home Depot bullshitting with his amigos all day....My work, family, the beach, snow, racetracks, casinos, great restaurants, great looking women are all still here, but when I`m of retirement age, I`m on the first think smoking and heading East
I sense Keystone and I could go on and on about California. Did you mention California is giving stimulus checks to illegals? The train to nowhere? We love homeless campaign? Taxes, taxes, taxes... Hell, third countries get embarrassed when compared to California now.
Key, - we left San Diego 15 years ago this June. Was the best decision we ever made. Was born and raised there. My parents have passed but my brother and in-laws are still down there. We went down in early January to see family before covid fears were on anyone's mind. Aside from family and great restaurants I hated it. Urban, suburbia hell. The street I grew up on where we didn't come in til the street lights came on was wall to wall parked cars on both sides of the street and in people's driveways. As if there were multiple families living in every house. Horrible. I keep telling my brother that he doesn't have to stay in one place his whole life. When he visits us he marvels at how quiet it is, all the trees and wildlife and best of all the distance between properties measured in acres instead of feet.
Danny, am surprised to hear that, I love me some San Diego!...only 2 hours from L.A. but always thought of it as light years. Especially some of of the surrounding cities like Del Mar, La Jolla and Carlsbad....I always thought of myself as a big city person. I never have minded the traffic much and actually enjoy the action and hustle and bustle that a major metropolis has to offer. I live in a pretty quiet suburb of LA so I kinda got the best of both words, or so I thought....Its everything else that I mentioned in my post above that makes me sick...Those trees and wildlife and quiet you mentioned are sounding more appealing by the day
Yeah JP, I`m sure we could fill this section up for hours lol....I don`t qualify for that stimulus thing myself, but have read that illegals will be getting one, which is mind boggling to say the least...Pretty sure you will see an influx of new Iphones and 2005 Escalades with 22" rims being purchased with the repo companies hot in pursuit in about 3-4 months
I hesitated if I should post this link, since it pretty much supports what redietz, Kj and others have been saying. But in an effort to be transparent, I thought it was important for everybody to see it. This link shows how the Covid-19 deaths have been growing day by day, and has even became the leading cause of death for a day or two. It's amazing how fast the death rate grew for Covid-19.
https://public.flourish.studio/visualisation/1830480/
This is showing all age groups, and doesn't separate the people by age. I expect this graph with time would look much different for different age groups.
But regardless of how you look at this data, this is a dangerous virus and something to be taken seriously. I know this is stating the obvious.
I still like Sweden's model, open things up and trust people to behave responsibly. Hunkering down in our basement is not going to get us through this. Wearing masks appears to be the best way to protect ourselves when we're out and about.

What the fuck is going on out there?
Boz, - I’ve never been to Pa. I get why Philly is blue but Pittsburgh doesn’t strike me as a liberal city. Is it demographics, unions or what?
Given Trump’s narrow victory in the state, do you think he’ll carry it again? Pre covid19 he was probably a slam dunk.
Your governor seems like he’s pretty unpopular, like so many are now.
LMR...Liberal Mental Retard
PA is a tough state and Trump’s 2016 win was shocking based on recent history and polling. 2020 is going to be all about the getting out the vote by each party. Trump won in 16 because the turnout in Philly and it’s suburbs was way behind 2012. And in the rest of the state (other than Pittsburgh and Scranton) is overwhelming Republican. Hillary did not excite minorities in the cities like Obama did. And Trump had many 1st time voters in 16 that did not come in the 18 midterms.
I don’t see Biden exciting voters although he has history in Scranton so he will do better than Hillary did there. As for how the vote will go, I have no good read and see it close either way. The world may be way different in 6 months but I see the election as either for or against Trump. Few will be excited about Biden, but many Hate Trump. But he has huge support and I know his people will get out.
As for Pittsburgh it’s always been a Union city and pulled the Dem ticket forever. Even as the city lost so many jobs in the Steel industry, the voting demographics never changed. It’s basically a lost cause for Republicans, with the hope being like in 16, many stay home because of a weak Democratic candidate.
And while Wolf is a polarizing figure, he has his supporters. How can one not when they push a liberal agenda of jealousy toward others and free handouts? It sadly has its appeal with a certain segment of the population.
Keystone, you might be right, but for whatever reason I found it really funny. It didn't prove anything, but the way the faces went as I was scanning down, and then to see that last one was really funny.
I think the reason I found it so funny, is that liberals think somehow this makes Trump look stupid. It's actually kind of funny when you think about it.
I hope everybody watches this video, especially my good buddy, MidWest Player. My favorite part was toward the end, where Bill Maher asked Mr. Crenshaw why Republicans try to suppress voting (btw, he must be reading out of the same liberal playbook MWP got a hold of) due to the long lines, some where people had to wait up to 6 hours to vote.
Dan Crenshaw calmly told Bill all those districts where that happened were controlled by the Democrats, and a Democrat was recently elected to run their elections. You saw Bill Maher's face with that "deer-in-the-headlights" look. I'm sure Bill wishes his staff had done a little more research on this, otherwise he wouldn't have asked that question.
I even liked the way Dan Crenshaw didn't blame the Democrats for this. He said mistakes happen and it'll get cleaned up.
Anyway, this was a excellent interview. Dan Crenshaw is definitely President material.

Lengthy report on the lies and exaggeration about covid 19. Great stuff, liberal nightmare.
Congratulations to Montana Governor Bullock for opening up Bars, Restaurants and Casinos in the near future. Along with Churches this week. Mickey can certainly talk more about Montana’s unique casino structure, but this is a positive move for Small Business owners and workers.
Note that Bullock is a Democrat but is running to unseat the current GOP Senator Daines. He obviously knows his constituents want the state open. But he is a liberal at heart and recently fundraised with Camel Toe Harris.
https://www.usnews.com/news/best-sta...pening-montana
The bar/casinos will be opening back up on May 4. Some will have to shut machines down to maintain the social distancing. But others will have no problem at all as their machines are already several feet apart. They are multi-game machines and the slowest action is always in the mornings. I can't check a machine if someone is playing it so the mornings are the best time to look for plays. By late afternoon most of the machines can be taken so it's a waste of time to stop and check the machines for plays. But these days I'm through by noon anyway.
So I'll be in them when it's slow and not in them when it's busy. Thats some pretty good social distancing. Wearing a mask, washing my hands quite a big, and packing hand sanitizer around.
There are 1700 liquor licenses in the state. The bars/casinos represent a lot of jobs as do the restaurants. Plus the owners. When you look at the number of families involved its a lot of people. I read the figure 67,000 people layed off....in a state of 909,000 people.
No matter that economic terrorists like Anderson Cooper exist in this country and lobby to keep the shutdown going it is just not right to impoverish that many people.
Shrewd politician. That would suck if he unseats Daines. He may be a moderate democrat but when the chips are down he’ll go with what Schumer wants.
I remember an ad Joe Manchin made when he first ran for senate in 2010 after Obamacare was the law of the land. It showed him out somewhere with rifle in hand taking aim at and shooting at the bill, all 2000+ pages, promising he’d repeal.
When he got his chance in 2017 he voted no. He did break ranks for the Kavanaugh confirmation but that could have been as much to do with political expediency as there was no way he was going win senate re-election a month later after voting no on Brett K.
Mickey, in a very, very casual way I know an AP in my neck of the woods, which is far away from you. He speaks very highly of you and said you've helped him a lot by getting him more into slot plays, and teaching him the ins and outs of how to win. He's not on forums, so I doubt if he's reading this. But it gave me a better appreciation for what you do, and how you try to help others, even though there is nothing in it for you.
I'm never going to get into slot plays, since that isn't my cup of tea, or why I go to casinos. I mostly go for entertainment and to relax from work, but I also want to play a winning game. But I have learned somethings about slot plays, which is what you've taught him. It's all good! I'm sure you've helped a lot of people like this, meaning people you've only met on-line. He said he's never met you in person. As I'm sure you know, you've got a lot of fans out there.
I listened to about 35 minutes of it.
It started to get a little redundant but I agree with the analysis.
Next thing Redietz, LMR, Midwest Player and others will have us believe is that...

South Dakota joining the common sense states in putting people back to work with restrictions.
https://rapidcityjournal.com/busines...035ca56b2.html
“Under the plan, restaurants and bars would be able to reopen with a minimum of six feet between tables, chairs and barstools, and would put capacity limits on those restaurants, bars and casinos.”
The barstools are the only part I am not sure about. Assuming a couple can sit next to each other. That seems to make sense but who knows? Seems there will be a lot of trial and error.
My thought of the day while getting ready to enjoy it.
“I wonder how many of those so scared of dying from Coronavirus never even lived?”
The Governor of South Dakota did not shut the state down. The bar/casino and restaurant shutdowns were voluntary. SD was the only place in the country you could play a machine if you could find an SD bar that was open. Rapid City probably did it's own shutdown.
The South Dakota Video Lottery is in the Bars/Restaurants. It's actually Class III gaming. A license can have up to 10 machines.
Bump. On March 10 redietz predicted 10 million infected and he put the over/under on hospitalizations for those infected at 20%. And he was "worried" about our health care system being overwhelmed by that 20% in the span of the "next couple of months." Since he wrote the post on March 10 then May 10 would be the end of the "next couple of months."
The context of his post is that 10 million would be infected by May 10, that number has turned out to be about 4.5 million. And he was well off on the 20% hospitalization rate too.
But I guarantee you redietz has more routes than Greyhound Bus Lines so will have ample excuses for his very bad math. But he will probably go with a flat out denial that he was wrong.
I don’t think we will see much of RED over here anymore other than maybe a hit and run post.
Alt Right posters must not be the target audience for his Sports Handicapping Services. Not sure he will have much better luck at WoV but all it takes is 1.
But I hear he has 40 different tickets for this Sunday’s NASCAR race purchased so he can say he had the winner Monday morning. And PROVE it.
Mickey, you were always good with numbers, but you butchered these.
First of all, there are just 1.4 million confirmed cases in the U.S. right now (May 14). The world total is about 4.5 million, which is the number you quoted. The confirmed number is so low because testing has been low per capita compared to other countries. Now "confirmed cases," of course is not the same as "people in U.S. who have had the virus." I figure that's pretty obvious, but you seem to have messed that up. Let me repeat that. In the post you quote, I said "infected," not "confirmed cases." Two very different things, which leads to:
Second, as to how many people actually have had the disease in the U.S., the estimate based on testing thus far (at the low end) is 5%. At the high end, it's 15%. Five percent of U.S. population would yield about 15 million, so my 10 million was low.
Third, it's mitigation and social distancing, which were instituted AFTER that March 10 post, that flattened the curve. The trick was going to be to prevent overwhelming hospitalizations, and the trick did the job. It also slowed the spread, which resulted in a more staggered incursion of the virus state-to-state. Now you'll see the red southern states begin to have issues.
Fourth, I framed much of this in hypotheticals, as in "if 20% require hospitalization." You seem to skip the meaning of these, as you do with responses to kewlJ, and you frame them in declaratives. For example, the title "Coronavirus is a scam" is a declarative. Not sure how you posted that and have the cajones to keep posting on the subject, but to each his own.
Finally, Boz, any time you want to put me through a polygraph, you let me know. Did you manage to contact that company president who partnered with me on the futures deal back in 2000? I sent you his name and the business name. I actually do not know if he is still alive; I haven't spoken to him in more than a decade. He retired and has got to be 20 years older than me. I'd give the company of which he was president a call. I see they are still open for business during the pandemic.
Good luck, fellas. As I said, I post here mainly to correct egregious errors. Mickey's were egregious.
Redietz, when you find you are in a hole you need to quit digging. Your claims are not getting more acccurate they are getting more outrageous. And the smoke & mirrors you threw up on your previous numbers is not working.
So you believe 15 million americans were infected with the virus or about 5%s. Well, I guess us Montanans are special people with magical qualities to fight coronavirus because we don't have anything near that infection rate.
Worldometers updates the stats everyday. We've had 462 people test positive out of 24,549 tests. That's about 1.88% or 1 in every 53 people. But if you go back over a month ago it was 1 out of every 23 people testing positive. The number has been dropping dramatically ever since. The number of administered tests jumps up at least a few hundred every day. And for weeks they might find one new case maybe for every 250 tests. However many tests they did in the last day there was not 1 positive. I'll post the new count up tomorrow and we'll look at the daily numbers but your 5% infection rate is exponentially off the mark.
Your strategy of trying to paint your critics as crackpots is not working.
Redietz, your post over at Wizard of Vegas on how your life was here at VCT, until conservatives showed up was kind of touching. I actually had a tear in my eye by the time I ended up reading it.
It sounds like in the good 'ol days on VCT there were mainly four posters, Mendelson, Singer, some guy i don't know, and you. It sounded like during those days, you pretty much ruled the roost and set people straight. You made 5,000 posts during your heyday at VCT; now that is impressive!
And then in your view VCT changed, and apparently checked 6 out of 7 boxes that you consider bad. I guess the good news is VCT was at least checking some boxes.
I thought your "boxes" were interesting. It looks like you've drank the left-wing kool-aide and believe pretty much anything the left tells you. For the record, you've checked all my boxes too. You're to the left of Kj, accountinquestion and even bomb thrower MWP. You're about as hard-core left-wing liberal as I've ever seen on one of these forums.
Btw, your story sounded similar to how liberals view Walmart, and how they believe Walmart destroyed small towns, since their shops couldn't compete against Walmart. Liberals believe Walmart was being evil by bringing products to consumers in small towns at a lower price.
Liberals have a hard time moving forward in life and accepting change. But guess what, that is part of life. Hope you can take this as a life lesson, and realize things change.
I dunno what happened.
Redietz went from bashing Alan to loving Gay Rights.
He just pissed off AndrewG over at WoV and Alan demands an apology!!
Not sure how he went from grieving husband to slurping noodles with his slant eyed girlfriend so fast.
If my slant eyed wife dies I am pretty much done with relationships.
Too old to start over with some new chick-a-dee again.
