I have zero questions on the swings you experience playing video poker, as everything you said sounds very logical. I would like to ask a few questions that I have but will understand completely if you do not answer as what you wrote in #3 above quote.
A few years ago on Wongs paid site I have read a few post about high stakes play in video poker from a reliable poster who I will not mention but shortly afterward I cancled my membership without asking him questions so I will try now.
1 Is there any high stakes video poker games in Vegas set above 100% as normal payout "of course contigent upon perfect play and full coin in" without any machine flaws, or could they only be limited to machines with some sort of flaw, or progressives?
2 Do they bar video poker professionals?
3 You mention, that one smaller game that you are playing is worth 250 per hour, is that all EV cash, or a combination of money and comps?
4 I am guessing that above game is some sort of progressive or a flaw in a pay table or something, otherwise, why would they offer it in the first place?
5 Do players worry about having a big investment in a game and the casino deciding to just take them out of circulation without notice?
6 Does Vegas still have some lower stakes video poker games already set above 100%?
7 Do you have a host who could have possibly helped you out with those hockey games/shirts expenses?

As to your other questions, I don't think there's currently any high limit VP in Clark County returning over 100%. But regardless with VP the focus these days is seldom off-the-top plays. (Although they still crop up, progressives or machines misset in some way.)
1. AFAIK, no. There are of course progressives that can become +EV.
2. Some places do. Oftentimes they just change a promotion or fuck with the mail.
4. Casinos aren't known for being particularly smart. Sometimes they just do things "just because".
5. I can't speak for everyone, but that shouldn't be a problem.
6. There are FPDW machines around as well as other +EV machines straight up.

Harvey's arcade (https://pinside.com/pinball/map/wher...-lake-tahoe-nv) in Tahoe actually has the Ultrapin product (virtual pinball machine loaded with several popular tables) from Global VR which one of the developers who made the Vegas 2047 prototype for NTEK helped create when he worked at Global VR. I remember they also gave away an Ultrapin pinball as the 1st place prize ($8000 retail value at the time) at an Ultrapin tournament at the big gaming show in Vegas (at the Convention Center) back when the Ultrapin was first introduced. I didn't really like the physics much on the Ultrapin, but it had its fans. I was hoping (fantasizing really) that Vegas 2047 would have made it onto the casino floors - because if it did I would have attempted to shark the living fuck out of it (just as I am hoping Gamblit gaming's Playboy pinball product will hit the floors and have close to real pinball physics).
I feel bad for the people who rely on "Unskilled," labor to make a living. :( Flippy will be forcing a lot of people into the streets. :( Though the $15 an hour was overkill. Maybe $10 would have been okay.Quote:
