It’s amazing how KJ continues to not be able to zero in on important aspects of Rob’s story. Rob said he walked into a casino in 2009 and requested they activate the double up. He was told they had received a memo from IGT telling them to turn off the double ups. Rob would have instantly known the jig was up. And it was at this time he announced his retirement.Quote:

There's also the general plausibility of his story and the fact that nobody has been able to poke a hole in it.
Of course it could be a hoax but if it is Rob is doing a very good job with it.
By the way, many people have poked holes in Rob’s story. Have you been reading any of the posts on this thread? Many of the things Rob keeps repeating is in the wire.com article. I’ve read the article about 100 times so I spot it when Rob says something. As many have already pointed out, many people knew the exact play, so big deal. It’s 10 years later. Why do you think it’s such a big deal Rob knew the exact play? That doesn’t prove anything.Quote:

Kj made a good point. Both sides are anchored in. Those in Mickey’s camp who believe he did it, and those in Kj’s camp who question if he did it and are learning torwards he made it up to gain attention. In my camp, I straight up don’t believe his story. I can’t prove it, but I don’t believe it. Call it using “common sense”. There are too many things Rob has said that throw up red flags. It’s not proof, but for me it makes his story unbelievable.
In the end, it really doesn’t matter. People can believe what they want. I mean there are still people out there that believe Big Foot is real. Does that effect me? No. Am I going to spend my time telling them they’re wrong. No. Hey, some people still believe in Santa Claus and the tooth fairy. People, including Mickey, are free to believe whatever they want. It sounds like this is very important to Mickey. It’s become his cause. In fact, I think it’s good he’s found something that gives his life meaning.

Again, there wouldn't be any question if Rob had some supporting documentation. Just seems strange that he claims to have discarded anything like that when he himself says he knew there would be skeptics.

Mickey, you defended me because I was right. And I respect that you find Rob credible. I really do. As a matter of fact I think my very first statement on the matter was something along the line that because you and Axelwolf found Rob credible that I accepted his claim.
But the more he has said, the more some things don't add up for me. So despite that I continue to have great respect for both you and Axel, does that mean I don't get an opinion as to whether I find Rob credible or not? Me and everyone else have that right too and it isn't a slap or disrespect towards you.
That I can't live with it is silly. That sounds like Rob talking. Rob thinks and wants everyone to be thinking and talking about him. He thrives on that attention.
I don't hate Rob. Yes I got pissed at the things he said about me and others including you. That is not how decent people talk or behave. But I get over things.
So whether Rob did or didn't make this play doesn't effect me or my life one iota. But that doesn't mean I don't get to have my opinion. And my opinion is that I see nothing that comes close to supporting this claim. But I do see many unanswered questions, red flags and things that don't make sense to me and others. I also see many years of untruthfulness and trolling of everyone with claims that were untrue, including what was proven to be a phony 200k jackpot picture just weeks before this claim.
I am not going to ignore all that. For me this boy has cried "wolf" too many times. I am not going to believe him until I see the Wolf. And that is HIS fault. He is the one that destroyed his own credibity
