Good point. That's why it's worth the extra homework to find those underdog plays or when the oddsmakers totally fail to set the line properly or have little time to react. Hard to make money chasing favorites. IT takes lots of balls and brains to play parlays for a living or on a regular diet.
It's something like a 1 in 32 chance with five teams. I got super lucky a few years back on one such parlay Moses, that's all it takes. Then as maxpen likes to say, I went back to my teeny weeny itty bitty little Hyatt at Incline Village cabin, and counted the profits before taking us and 8 family members to Lone Eagle Grill for dinner.
I know, all the WoVers are a little bit jealous. Not many of them have ever been to or stayed in the Hyatt lakeside cabins at $600/night now, and none have ever been to the LEG. Obviously, way too expensive just to get there, let alone be able to afford the cabins for a week or just one dinner there.
In other threads, it's envy and hatred of my winning at vp. In this one, I get to rough them up further with successful sports betting.
Does it get any better than this--especially after getting to humiliate poor kew into departing yet again??
Your online track record betting sports is abysmal. You shut down the Singer 5 twice not even halfway thru the season on your own website because you were so far in the ole you knew you weren't getting out. So you've gone 9-6-1 over your last 16 picks. You are crowing pretty good about it. But the not well kept secret is you are a lifetime loser at NFL betting.
You're hoping and guessing again mickey. And BTW, thanks for admitting you often visited my site! I also highly suspect that you were one of the most fervent readers of my GT column.
I did peter out in my second season, and that was after having a highly successful first on LVA Sports. Why else do you think I was the guy the idiots there loved to like to hate me :)
Methinks it's you who's doing the crowing for me. But check back with me after the 8th week and I'll let you know how much to toot my horn.
mickey you're funny. All thru the 8 years AP's called in complaining about my truthful attacks on them and about the strategy I used in order to win so consistently. And up thru now, was I supposed to think a goose egg like you would have complemented my thoughtful insights?
Thanksgiving weekend bets are placed. Each game is at $400 except my Lock of the Week, which is at $500. There is also a $100 parlay on all five teams.
Det +3 over Chi
Atl +13 over NO
TB -3.5 over SF
Az +12.5 over LAC
Indy -7.5 over Mia
Crazy fucker. lol
I looked at this game. I sort a thought Detroit should be a favorite with Chicago QB questionable and 3 days rest. I will pass because I don't bet on bad teams. But, with a gun to my head, I'd spit it up and go 1/2 Detroit money line and 1/2 points.
Yes the parlay is a crazy bet....until one hits.
I have always felt Detroit plays amped up on Thanksgiving Day because of the tradition. That made the difference for me.
