This would not be so simple for us. We have a lot of stuff and most of my electronics are impracticable to move, plus my wife has every closet filled so it would be taking up an entire guest room. Those are real world considerations that UNKewlJ didn't take into account when creating this fable. One has to live in a condo one owns in order to think along those lines.

I have a second residence where I can store most things. I don't plan on having too much in the condo I bought. I have a friend.. beautiful house .. nice furniture but leaves door unlocked all the time.. tvs aren't hardly worth stealing.. not sure where he keeps his working bankroll. I won't have nice furniture but that is my general approach. Airbnb has some sort of insurance policy and you can weed through people before accepting. Basically I go in my bathroom .. throw stuff in tub.. have groceries down to little and I'm mostly good to go.

When I started this thread, I thought there would be more discussion on the Superbowl in Vegas (a first) and not just the trolling of what I have going on that weekend. With all the talk of sports betting, I thought we would have some talk of angles being bet on the Superbowl.

Additionally, just the concept of the Superbowl in Vegas seemed unthinkable just a few years ago. Las Vegas and gambling were poison to the NFL. Now there is a team in Las Vegas and the Superbowl in Las Vegas and advertising by casinos and offshore sports books on every NFL broadcast and even sponsors in some stadiums.

Interestingly, I saw a story on ESPN this week of a player I was not familiar with, currently under contract with the Eagles, but was suspended for the entire 2023 season for violating the NFL gambling policy. He was betting on sports, including his own NFL games (with Colts at the time). The VERY thing the NFL was concerned about. A step short of betting on and then throwing games.

It's at UNLV: sod was thrown on top of an existing field and it's soft.

They can move to two other alternate fields, but those two aren't up to NFL standards.

The NFL dropped the ball: practice fields are supposed to be game ready in December for the
Super Bowl city.

Inspectors go out and blah blah.

Las Vegas threw the sod on a couple weeks ago.

Nothing was game ready.

Did inspectors sign off?

Were they paid off, and if so by whom?

I have a feeling this isn't the first we're going to hear about this issue.

I usually watch a couple UNLV football practices on that feild each fall. I can't imagine that is up to NFL standards. If they really just recently put down sod, all the rain we have had this past week must be making it a huge mess.

I just read a funny post over at a forum called WizardofVEGAS that I want to share with you folks here at this forum VEGAScasinotalk in this thread entitled Superbowl weekend - VEGAS, which is all about the superbowl later today taking place in LAS VEGAS.

So this fella, a higher roller, whale type losing player, was trying to explain why he is not at the superbowl in LAS VEGAS as most high rollers are (comped).

What he came up with was that he didn't know the superbowl was in LAS VEGAS. ;) This poster has named himself the Pope of Las Vegas and yet he had no idea about the largest event ever taking place in Las Vegas. Not only did this "poop" of Las Vegas character not know, but apparently his hosts didn't know either or surely they would have taken care of such a high roller. (in fairness they probably would have taken care of such a higher roller, losing whale type player. The amazing part of this post is the "poop" of Las Vegas is claiming he had no idea)

Oh and one other thing: This clown who claims he had no idea the Superbowl is in Las Vegas, which would make him the only person in the freaking universe that didn't, he has posted in THIS VERY THREAT about the SUPERBOWL being in LAS VEGAS, 17 times!!

Just funny shit! How does the saying go....you can't make this shit up? And yet he did. Who fucking knew the Superbowl is in LAS VEGAS. Apparently best kept secret on earth.

TBH some people just aren't sports fans at all. I'm not sure that it suggests. Mdawg seems more metrosexual and less red-blooded American doode so I'm not sure it means as much as you think it does. If he is into the Superbowl he knows where it is.. if he isn't then why would he pay any attention since he'd have no interest in being in LV? It isn't even about the superbowl. I am aware some people aren't football fans. It is the biggest event ever in Las Vegas. Ton's of parties with celebrities and high rollers. Fireworks on the strip an hour ago. I personally don't care about that stuff. I am just a mid-level, maybe even lower level advantage player/card counter grinding a living.

BUT MDAWG is all about all that stuff. Remember this is the guy who claims he played with or saw some Montreal Canadian players at a private blackjack table in Vegas the night before a playoff game, when it turns out they were quarantined in Canada at that time. :D

More of kew trying hard to get attention again. He thinks just because the SB is in LV this year that everyone has to care about it---and about HIM living in the same town as the event. Typical of a self-annointed "Man About Town".

The only thing actually interesting about the match-up is Brock Purdy's NFL journey. That's why I'll be rooting for him over the half-breed Mahomes and for the REAL 2023 NFL MVP: Christian McCaffrey....who by the way is also white and who happens to be the best running back in the NFL.

KC's gumby tight end Kelce will be a non-factor in the game. All week SF has studied video of how Tampa Bay kept him at bay, and they saw how Tampa's defense had Mahomes scrambling all over the place and running for his life all game long. They also saw how Tom Brady tore apart that supposedly great Chiefs defense, and how he used Gronk--the greatest Tight End in NFL history--to help accomplish that. This game, another great Tight End who is also better than Travis Kelce (George Kittle) should do some damage also.

At least Kelce is now with Taylor Swift and he finally dumped that negroe woman he's mistakenly been with for 5 years. And Taylor finally has found herself a real man, instead of all those DEI-"influencers" and girly men she's been hanging around with since she became famous.

While I am at it, let me update the condo rental situation. The people renting our condo had an emergency situation and are coming in tomorrow morning instead of Friday as they planned. I let them out of the first two nights of the arrangement, when I didn't have to. It just felt like the right thing to do. They have added an additional night at the end of their stay, Tuesday night, but at a lesser negotiated price. Bottom line, we will be making about 60% of what was planned.

So not a great experience, but it is what it is.
