Bill is just another run of the mill internet troll trying to stir up shit.

I am pretty sure some thief made up that saying so that he could steal from the other thief.
Another saying is... you don't steal from a thief!
This is not because of honor. It is more so for insurance or safety purposes. You start stealing from criminals and it is a good way to end up dead.
What I find funny about the "new gamblers" in Vegas and around the world... these guys that think they are above others is that it wasn't long ago that people were killing each other for quarters. These cutthroats weren't sitting in air conditioned Casinos waiting for the next progressive. They were actually out there raping and killing and many of them were in gangs holed up because they were outlaws and/or wanted. It wasn't very long ago people were ending up in the desert on a daily basis in Vegas. You guys crack me up with this morality and honest gambler, AP BS lol!
At least give me the benefit of the doubt until I reply.
Shackleford wrote of being very happy to be rid of doing crummy or dismal piece-meal work for casinos in Las Vegas. At any rate, analyses of baby names and slot machines isn't what accredited actuaries sign up for. Successful actuaries navigate and create investments math, reform income-tax legislation, and help to run corporations.
Still waiting to hear how renowned is Shackleford, or how successful an AP.
I don't know, nor have met any of these people, so I won't comment on how honest or ethical they are. You have met them or some, once or twice. Does that mean you really know them to make these comments?
You have shared that you are not the most honest or ethical person in the world. Good for you for being honest. Don't assume that everyone that pursues AP has your "anything goes standards".
And just to be clear, I am not suggesting anything about Axel as a person. I don't know him. But his internet behavior of which we all see plenty of is becoming more and more trollish. And that is really not opinion. That is fact. Just read him on several sites.
This is a rather bizarre opinion. Because someone has a job or career that they don't like or isn't what they thought does not mean they failed at it. I'll bet the waitress that served me earlier this morning didn't much care for her job and hopes to pursue something else at some point. That doesn't make her a failed waitress....she was actually a pretty good waitress. :)
Most people that take a government job do so for one reason...security. Deciding to pursue something else, simply does not make them a failure.
Now let's take a look at Eliot. This is someone who desperately wanted to make a living as an AP and couldn't do so. THAT is the definition of a failure. :) Tim Tebow as a professional athlete would be the definition of a failure. Shackleford leaving a government job to pursue something else simply is not the definition of a failure.
(geez..I hate it when I HAVE to defend Mike Shackleford). :(
I am not talking about them personally or what they do in their personal lives. I am talking about gaming inside the Casino. These players like yourself will say something like if I do this it is ok. It isn't against the rules and gaming says it's legal. Even though the Casino takes a different stance on the subject and deep down we all know it is dishonest. Sure you might hear some of these guys claim it is a certain shade of grey which is BS. You either play the game straight or you play it crooked. No middle ground. You can't say I am only cheating a little bit but that guy over there is the real criminal... he is doing this and that. It's not my fault my neighbors are showing me their cards or the dealer is showing me his hand or he over payed me on my large bets. A person doesn't get to say my clothes only have a spot of mud on them and that guy is swimming in the mud puddle so I am better than he is.
Honestly and I truly mean this. You guys are gonna do and believe what it is that you do. I have curtains to hang up... perhaps in the future I'll come back and continue on about how unethical we all are in this world and even though you all don't want to admit or believe it... we know it's the truth.
Whatever you have to tell yourself. I’m not sure if you’re trying to convince us or yourself that there’s no distinction between legal and illegal and people are incapable of choosing to make and follow that distinction I’
I have seen a lot of guys showing people what to look for on various machines and taking them on scouting trips thru the casino. They will have them play into favorable setups and chop the profits. They will not share in any losses. Overall it dilutes the value of any of that knowledge and causes the opportunities to disappear. Look at all the disappearing Alladins and Zombies.
I'm not saying stuff doesn't happen. Maybe they are charging a fee. I doubt it though. Because these are usually the same people camped on a favorable situation soliciting someone to front money on the play for a piece. The strip is full of these guys. I'm not sure how they work it but you can find the same ones camped in the same areas day in and day out.
I happened to be walking by an Alladin machine cutting thru Harrah's one night right as a lady was rolling off. I slid into the seat and went to insert a ticket and a guy who was 3 machines over grabbed my hand as the ticket was accepted by the machine. I pushed his hand away and started banging out some hands. About 6 hands in 3 reels turn wild and I bang out a couple hundred. Guy tries to tell me I need to split action as these were his machines. Of course I told him to fuck off as I was cashing. He then went on a tirade about how he has friends and shit. I asked him where they were and walked off leaving him fuming.
I have yet to run across an UX creator or witness it in action though.
Reports I'm getting out of Vegas is you work your ass off for maybe $200 a day vulturing. That's why I don't go there. I'm sure it's because Vegas is saturated with vultures. The problem I see with the zombies is the ploppies don't play them much. Not a very popular game. They were pulled out of one place I work but I think it was from lack of action by the public. I do pretty good on the Aladdin's. They get more action than the zombies. My biggest score was on the $3 bet level. I lit up 3 columns on one spin then lit a fourth column on the next spin for a $1200 score.
So I looked this up and found it an interesting read. Here are the quotes about The Standover Man...
STANDOVER MAN
Thief who specializes in persuading other thieves to surrender their valuable items.
From the website of Mark Brandon "Chopper" Read:
"My apprenticeship in crime began in the 1970s. This had me robbing massage parlours and taking on contracts to maim and kill rivals. Once I had obtained a doctorate as a "standover man", robbing drug dealers and other criminals, who funnily enough couldn't report me to the police, became childs play. I once told a friend "why rob a straight guy of $20 when you can rob a drug dealer of $10,000 and he can't go running to the police?" After all both involved some work on my behalf, but the man in the street was less likely to give up his $20 as he had to work hard for it. For the drug-dealers it came easy, so why would they put up a fight. Although some of my victims chose to chew razor blades (at their own request of course), before they would hand over cash? And I am the psychopath!
Standover Man
Aussie slang for an extortionist who uses physical violence (or threats thereof) to extract payment on behalf of another party.
You might pay a standover man to get some money owed to you instead of going via the police. Perhaps you might order a few broken ribs or a kneecapping as an object lesson to go along with the payment.
Your really hung up on this illegal and legal BS. If I can swindle someone out of their land and money and it is legal to the letter of the law does that mean I am not stealing? Just because something is Legal doesn't mean that it gives the person a license to do whatever they want. Even if you have a license to Kill you are still a murderer no matter what you think.
Has anyone on this forum watched the movie... The House of Sand and Fog? That guy bought that house fair and square. You have to be pretty mature to understand what is going on in that movie. Definitely not your typical happy go lucky Hollywood Film. IMO Hollywood got that movie right which is refreshing because it is realistic. Of course they diluted it so if you can actually take time and read a book... well nobody here is going to read a book?!
How can I convince someone like you who has a "holier than thou" attitude in life. Your the type who points the finger at everyone for doing wrong and thinks to himself when I do the same thing it isn't wrong. Your type are the real evil bastards. Usually very strict and straight forward and everything looks clean on the outside. Although I can spot this type all the time, they are just wound up so tight. This is the type of person who has some dark secret skeletons in the closet and eventually things go south. I see this in all aspects of life but it is the most humorous when the straight arrows get caught doing the same thing they are busting people for. Awhile back they had some Governor cracking down on all the illegal whore houses and prostitutes and such. A few years later down the road he was busted for running his own ring of whore houses!! I guess he was eliminating the competition.
You do make me laugh though. I would bet everything I have to bet that nobody on these forums is squeaky clean. I am positive that you and the rest have some deep dark sick secret that nobody knows about. You just keep pointing your finger at me and my type like Jimmy Lee Swaggart did in his life. He really gave it to the sinners and even Jim Baker and Tammy Faye. Later he got caught and was thrown out. At that time he had 500k rolling in a day!! So he took a break and came back and decided to go Nondenominational. Not long after he came back to the pulpit and he got in trouble again with the hookers. When confronted by his administration he said he was taking another leave of absence and that God told him that he doesn't have to tell them or his congregation what he was doing. Of course now he is on TV with his Son begging for money every day. Interesting note he is cousins with the Killer who is Jerry Lee Lewis.
The issue is not whether we have "secrets;" the issue is whether we knowingly cheat and steal from casinos as part of our gambling repertoire.
You portray yourself as a skilled cheater / thief; have you ever been caught doing so, and if so what happened?
It is my belief that this vocation attracts people who are not afraid of anything. It's an exceptionally rare trait from what I have observed throughout life. Most people are the "Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face" (astute Mike Tyson quote) type of folks.
maybe they keep taking a punch in the face because like many boxers....thats all they know how to do. Maybe its not a noble status.
Maybe its necessity.
Monet, I am not holier than though and am not trying to say I am. You are essentially calling us liars, I can respond to that. I choose not to play anything I believe is not legal, but there’s things like BJ computers in the 80’s that were legal then, I would have been totally fine using them, but would not today. Now you can continue to say I’m a liar for saying I wouldn’t...that is fine. Grey area: edge sorting an example, no one thought that illegal 5 years ago. I don’t believe it is but wouldn’t do it today after the Ivey decision. I stay away from Semi AP, semi cheats hybrids who i know also cross the thin line by intentionally bending cards, or paying off dealers to give extra info intentionally.
It’s not because I’m holier than though, I just don’t want to get caught up in their shit when it goes down, and I really don’t need the extra money. But I am lying right?
If I portray myself as a skilled cheater or thief I think it is because this is on the internet and those who are reading what I say are exaggerating what is reality. I have all the advantages in the American Society. Tall, thin, Caucasian, an ability to blend in like the wallpaper since I'm very average looking and good at keeping a low profile. I suppose I have that look of someone who wouldn't do anything against the rules/laws. I also am good at listening and having empathy towards others and am able to hold a conversation on many topics. I have never cheated or stolen anything that brings large amounts of heat. I never stayed in a job long enough to really get caught and I have an ability to only steal what isn't noticeable meaning things that are considered two bit, not worth the trouble. No reason to go for large scores in my opinion that would draw heat or risk jail time. Years ago I would go into Albertsons and order chicken to go and they give you large paper bags. I'd shop around and load the bags up with batteries and razors and shop around loading the cart up. Usually I'd just park the cart and walk out with the two bags. Sometimes I'd walk the whole cart out. Never stopped once or any problems. Other times I'd go to the mall and walk out with large items if they were requested. I had restaurants ask me for mixers and other appliances. I had employees hold the door for me a few times... twice security helping me... go figure. I've said it before that shoplifting is the easiest crime for someone with my look and skin color. I guess I look like a cop or security. I've had employees at Dillard's show me so many rings or watches they had no idea how many I palmed.
I have been caught on other things a couple of times but nothing could be done except them shaking their heads and telling me to leave. That wasn't shoplifting though, that was something else.
You can trust that it's a dirty world and if your involved in the system in anyway your getting dirty in one way or the other. That's why I don't look down on or feel superior to anyone in any walk of life, from the bum to the business man we're all filthy in the mud. However I don't like to associate with people who think they are better than others. I don't mind discussing it with them but when they get that holier than thou attitude it's time to hit the door. I've told the story before how I'm on the Cruise Ship with my best friend. He is one of these golden boy thinking types. So I find a nice duffle bag under the bed. I don't want it but he does. He takes and loads up some towels and soap. I rib him and tell him you're stealing!? I say we should turn that into security. I sounded serious but I was kidding him. He gets all high and mighty and says to me... your a thief, you like being a thief and your proud of being a thief! I am not a thief and don't ever call me a thief!! He has a very serious, stern tone and is clearly upset. Needless to say after 15 years of friendship we don't talk anymore. I can't be associated with hypocrites. You want to be a bad or good guy ok I can live with it but I kinda loathe someone who thinks they aren't just as sick as the next guy.
I had to go back and re-read this. I love the first sentence! Oh man, I get a really good laugh out of it. Hold your Head up High... Hustling the Casino!! That's rich man!!
Of course I went back to re-read this as I continue on with remodeling the house and listening to movies like The Hustler and James Caan in Thief. I was thinking if you follow this logic many hustlers will be out of work. Just for starters anyone Hustling Pool, Billiards, Card Games, Backgammon or Chess are out of a living. To think that Hustling Casinos isn't Hustling People is ludicrous but if it helps you look in the mirror every morning and feel good about oneself I can understand that. Whatever works for all of you is fine. I just don't like hearing that this guy is scum but that guy isn't scum.
Let's not even get into all aspects of sports fixing, insider trading, fixing stock prices, kickbacks in price fixing... the list goes on and on. Not too many people to hold their head up high or look at the mirror after I get done with the never ending list! Of course mcap is the exception. You guys preach survival of the fittest and natural selection but don't get into explotation. Too Funny... as Maxpen said on WoV... he and I laugh at those who think this world system is set up to be a fair, level playground.
It's a fair playground all right. That's why the variable that correlates most highly with one's income is one's parents' income (that was sarcasm, Sheldon).
There are many interesting ethical issues in sports gambling. I'll put together a list and throw it out there later in the week. For example, what does one think of "consensus services," which sign up for various services without stating what they will do, then sell the plays services provide under a single umbrella for a price? How do you feel about putting out "bandwagon" bets by a famous person (say, Billy Walters), who then hopes for an avalanche when he wants to play the other side?
Nothing "illegal" about either of those, eh? What did the Old Testament say again about lending money, while we're at it?
Could on man, after the last couple I KNOW you came here primarily to troll.
Refresh my memory about what the Old Testament said about lending money? It wouldn't be hard for me to look it up but that dilutes the conversation. Of course the New Testament trumps the Old anyway since it is clear Jesus changed the rule saying to give to any man that asks of you lending without expecting anything in return. Freely give as your father in heaven freely gives. Something like that. Very difficult to implement in ones life but if you can get to that level your really starting to AP it up IMO!
This falls along the line of the parable about the farmer who decided to work very hard one year filling up his barn and silos hoarding more food than he could even eat. Of course he never got to use it because his life was required before he was able to over indulge. It's clear that stockpiling in this life is meaningless and in Vain because soon you will die and your possessions will be fought over by everyone involved. When my relatives died it got pretty ugly and I decided not to quibble over the property and money. I remember telling them to let it rot. I think my grandmothers executors got everything in the end. Pretty funny to me actually!
A similar discussion on WoV that I was involved in prompted someone with this quote... most people are decent until you mess with their rice bowl. They will turn into the type of person that would cut their grandmothers throat if they have to to defend that supply of food. I agree that most people are like this when pushed to extremes. In life you will find the rare breed that won't be subjected to this type of behavior but it's very rare indeed. I think about the scene in Schindler's List when the old lady spills som gruel into the mud and some random old guy is so hungry he falls face first into the mud lapping it up. Individuals think that could never happen to them but they are completely wrong because they haven't dealt with that type of pressure.
So I went back and read your 40 posts and I did not find one that gave up any information on anything that is related to gambling. Perhaps maybe something you were talking about 800k of coin in per year vs. 500k per year. If your calling me a troll I think your completely wrong. If anyone is trolling it is clearly you. Most of your posts are either name calling or some other form of negative remarks directed towards individuals.
One thing is for sure. You and others might not agree with my way of thinking or my actions in life but I certainly have put up correct, decent and profitable information between this site and WoV. I have even given out my own personal plays on certain machines, that, for the most part, it would appear nobody has added to their daily grind. I have even posted numerous pictures of Jackpots and told everyone where these Jackpots are taken at. Not only that but if you search hard enough I tell people exactly what the starting point is on certain reel machines so that if your able to just hammer it to the jackpot you will never lose. What do they tell me? They say I don't have 40 hours to hammer things out like that or I am not able to lose 3 grand because I am too poor lol. If you don't have the bankroll to do these things than don't even get involved in gambling period but if you do have the time and money to invest it is very easy to just hammer away. I also have given up Mailer Information in PMs when asked and I have never asked anyone from the forums for anything and actually I would refuse any compensation, although I do wish some of these people would make more of an effort. That's who I am... Who the F are you?? I don't see you giving out any information like that. Not only that but I am very easy going when people Private Message me and I will accommodate them accordingly. The only exception is that Maxpen asked me why on Earth would I post a thread about Westgate and them cracking down on APs taking off FP. That is something personal and I really can't delete a thread nor do I want to delete that thread. Another problem was that Speedycrap wanted me to get him a room and have lunch with him to discuss APing. The problem was that for almost 2 years he never followed up to get to Vegas and I got banned from WoV and DT for four months and our communication broke down. Later I found out he only stayed in Vegas for two days so that is hardly being serious about AP in Vegas. I also realized that he plays dice for fun and that is hardly the AP world that I am involved in, I don't have the time to teach someone like that what to do because most likely they will be running over to the dice pit when I am not around. Truth be told I am the real Lone Wolf that ZenKing uses as his trademark. In 25 years I have basically done things on my own. I have never belonged to a team. I have only had one partner and for the most part we only chopped Royals. I am very independent so I have a problem with trust or a team setting. Recently someone asked me to bankroll them and I told them you have the wrong guy. I am not a Team Leader or Funds Manager. If you want to partner with me on something we put up the same money and time in on the machine. I would also have a problem doing a 12/12 rotation because how am I going to trust that individual so it has to be on something we can play at the same exact time like a progressive bank. I am not the Bank. I am not putting people to work. I am my own Boss. I take down my own Scores. You want to take down Scores you go find your own Scores and take them down.
Don't worry mcap... This troll here is going to start a thread very soon in the near future giving up winning plays and machines that give extra points and all kind of other goodies soon enough. I am sure many of the APs on this site will not be happy about it but I am tired of discussing things that aren't gambling related to a bunch of morons lol jk jk. That moron thing is from Happy Gilmore. You make me think of that movie after calling me a piece of Shit. ( "Piece of Monkey Shit") ( I eat pieces of shit like you for breakfast... you eat pieces of shit for breakfast?? Noooo." ) That wasn't very nice, I never called you or anyone on these sites a derogatory name. I may have told the Wiz to GFY or Jump off a Cliff but I am sure these are things he has done in the past and will do again the future. He has a Youtube post of him actually jumping off a cliff that is titled jumping off a cliff and who hasn't had sex with themselves??
I like this site because even though you don't have anything to really contribute to the gambler or AP community it is nice that your allowed to call people names and tell them how you really feel and that is real world BS so I'm good with that. You couldn't really get away with this on WoV lol.
Also for the record... I am not an easy person to actually get a hold of in person but once I do agree to something I follow through. Case in point... recently in the last few weeks I helped a WoVer get a suite for 3 days with 500 comp for the stay and took them to a 1200 dollar dinner paying all expenses and tips. This Mother F'ing Troll / Piece of Shit does things like that!
Excellent.
Armed with proper knowledge, this recreational gambler may be able to make the leap from always playing like a moronic ploppy to making the occasional successful slot AP.
Love the old three reel slots, both mechanical and video, such as Double Diamond and the like, so any tips about them would be especially appreciated.
Not sure if your messing with me Mr V? Either way no big deal. However, you know damn well on WoV I have posted primarily mechanical 3 Reel games mostly of a 7s variation. I was on a positive double diamond game located at the Main Street Station twice in the last few years when it gets up over 8k but what a grind. Definitely more difficult compared to machines at the Fremont. Currently they have a game that starts at 10k and the progressive is over 20k as we speak but you need a team of at least two but 3 people to run the 8/8/8 game would be better. The main problem is that machine takes many more hours to get to the Jackpot. They have less variant games that get to the required numbers all the time on an average of 2 per month. I may have found a winner at GVR but that's a 10 dollar two coin reel and I'm not sure enough to hammer it. Also Boulder has a reel starting at 48k that is over 100k but same problem. GN has a dollar reel at 2 coins a spin that is locked out at 160k and starts at 12.5k. When I keep asking them why the progressive doesnt move I keep getting the run around. That machine has been like that over 5 years now but it's a DD variation. Your DDs and 7s machines are drying up like all other machine plays in general in Vegas. I suspect I'll be back to live poker one day in the future on some team playing off the same bankroll but man what a grind that would be!? Hard to go from 5, 10 and 25 dollar machines back to 2/5 or something like that... good grief, I might just do something else like watching movies if machines get really bad.
Honestly though with Reels you need time and money. I know you have the money but you need months and months to keep on the games to turn positive. Coming to Vegas for a week to hammer progressive reels won't be worth it in my opinion. My style or information is for players who live here or are at least here for 6 month intervals.
This doesn't pertain to Mr V since I'm pretty sure he is set in life financially. This pertains to someone like ZenKing who wants to live in Vegas and AP for a living.
What type of BR do you need to get started? I like 40k so that you can play the dollar Full Pay VP downtown daily while you wait for the progressives to get high enough. 40k too much? No problem... in that case 8k will suffice. Now you play the quarter full pay games downtown while you wait for the progressives to climb and let the numbers get a little higher because this will help with the variance. Once you get to 30 or 40k you can play the higher denom VP and jump on the reel progressives at a lower number. After awhile your bankroll will grow and you'll get bored of the systematical grind. Try not to get complacent and start playing dice and things like that or it most likely will be lights out. Usually during the grind some promotions will pop up and your bankroll will grow higher. Keep expenses low and everything should work out fine. If you can I suggest getting involved in a serious relationship with a significant other because that is a very strong AP move IMO. However we all know marriage isn't something that is easy but IMO it is well worth it in the long run. If you have to cheat, make sure it's with hookers or massage girls who are only in it for the money. Don't go and fall in lust with your neighbors wife.
I wasn't kidding about my question, thanks for the info.
As far as a significant other being a strong AP move, I agree: better to go through life with a partner who's got your back.
Then again, as a divorce lawyer I find myself humming "love lost, such a cost ..." (my apologies to Neil Young).
good post monet.
like V, I am not going to be spending months at machines...even though I can in reno if I chose to.
But it was a nice general insight.
i will stick to hold-em and sports.....with an occasional slot.
but i will follow up with this question
where do APs get the info about the machines . For example MC has talked of some machines with mini jackpots that are set to hit before it reaches a certain potamount.
where would one find this info. I understand how one coud use simple math to caluculate the amount of money and spins needed to get the jackpot to the max point. And by playing for a few spins you can see what percent of the bet goes to the jackpot....but where do u get info on "this machine will pay thejackpot before x amount of dollars.
Oh, you nean like the ap guy on here as well as on betselection whom posts all the elaborate beating the roulette material that hustled, scammed, borrowed, etc., the thousands of dollars. From the Chinese member with the promise to repay that seemingly forgot to??? Btw, the one i am referring to is in Oregon. A scuumbag. Oh ccorrection, an ap hustler!!!!!
I remember in high school, I basically had two groups of friends. It was similar in college, but not as much. Anyone, one group of friends was basically always trying to cheat, steal, lie, etc. to each other. There'd always be drama, people mad at each other, and overall just scheming people. Go figure. The other group was basically the exact opposite, where everyone was nice, would offer to help each other out, offer to pay for food and gas, and overall just pleasant and easy to hang out with.
I say this because, it seems like the same kinda thing is going on here. The APs I know aren't out to try to scam and hustle each other. We try to all get along and make as much money as we can and not do all kinds of weird fuckery. It seems like you and the APs you roll with (Monet) are more into trying to fuck each other over. Why the hell people do that, I have no idea. Alls I know is 10 people with $10k can make more money if they work together than 10 people with $10k playing individually. And 10 people with $10k each playing individually can make more money than if they were all fighting each other.
Personally, I don't want to be involved in something that's cheating, illegal, or that sort of thing. For me, it's a combination of morals/ethics as well as it's not worth the risk of getting caught and potentially going to court, jail, prison, etc... There are legal things that I do that are probably not morally/ethically "right", but whatever. I've worked in a casino and know they don't do what's morally/ethically right and many times are breaking the law.
Monet, with all your postings about (IMO this is how it seems) that you fuck people over at any chance you get, that's just a way of life for you, etc. etc.....my question is -- Why? Do you think people read that and are like, "Yeah, that's the kinda guy I want to network with, get to know, etc.!" ???
This is very simple. You don't know me personally. You and Siri have made an incorrect assumption about me based on my past and past mistakes that I have freely shared with the forum. Your younger and have different ideas and ways of thinking. You most likely have a higher education compared to myself and you do not understand what or why I post what I post about. You have lots of friends that are in the good or bad group. I have no friends, only a small family that I protect. You think you know me or know what I'm about but to me it's obvious you don't know Jack Squat and one day you will be living in a Van... Down by the River!
Same difference really. Your idea of reference works just as well as the one I had in mind.
Although in my mind, hearing the voices in my head or the skit is a bit more humorous compared to singing... Down by the River... I shot my Baby.
25 years goes by pretty quick.
Look up Matt Foley, David Spade, Kelly Bundy, SNL 1993 and youtube and have a laugh perhaps!?
(they could end up, like himself, being 35 years old, eating a steady diet of government cheese, thrice divorced... and living in a...)
"Well, la-dee-frickin-da!"
"Whoop-dee-frickin-doo!"
That may be the funniest SNL skit ever. I recently watched a Debbie Downer routine and it was pretty good. The people performing couldn't control themselves. Them laughing made me laugh, I think it's contagious.
It is hard to disagree with you on this topic. Another really good quote to help people like RS along is from a movie I am sure you all have watched but I like to say it to the golden boy types when they start getting on my case and being all high and mighty. You see RS and his pals think when they run multiple people through a rebate promotion that it isn't dishonest or cheating. Hey I've done it plenty and made plenty of money doing it but I am not going to sit here and tell you how honest I am and tell you how the Casino Cheats so why shouldn't I Cheat the Casino. I am just going to admit that I am an Evil Doer and you are an Evil Doer and they are an Evil Doer and if someone can realize and agree to that sort of thinking we are able to move forward. However, the ones that start thinking they are above others because they play nice or they do things differently... well we have our disagreements. So enough with that... onto the movie quote!
What you lookin' at? You all a bunch of f'n a--holes. You know why? You don't have the guts to be what you wanna be? You need people like me. You need people like me so you can point your f'n fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." So... what that make you? Good? You're not good. You just know how to hide, how to lie. Me, I don't have that problem. Me, I always tell the truth.......
Even when I Lie !!
Soooooo say good night to the bad guy! Come on. The last time you gonna see a bad guy like this again, let me tell you.
Come on. Make way for the bad guy. There's a bad guy comin' through! Better get outta his way!
are you drunk?
No I haven't had a drink for at least a decade now. I had to give it up for internal problems. I was never addicted to it but I would drink until I couldn't see straight. My type of personality is all or nothing so it is pretty much like that with anything in life for me. My long term friend didn't like that so much because he lost his sometimes drinking partner and he likes to drink but when your body says that is enough you kinda have to listen to it. Alcohol is no joke... it is straight poison to your system and it can cause a lot of people intestinal problems later in life and this is Vegas... the Beer, Wine and Whiskey flows daily and never ends. Anyways, my point is that I am completely sober.
Wait... I don't have Irish Heritage but I do have some Scottish so I guess I should say Whisky.
only kidding...those words you posted were originally uttered by a very drunk man
Oh yeah... your right... actually when I drank I did kinda get like that... man you got me this time... wheeeew right over my head! Funny... good laugh...thanks!
I am so slow I should of used my good line when someone asks me that from Groundhog Day...
Drunks more fun!
obviously i couldnt be an AP.....it seems simple reading and awareness is required.
oops wrong thread
They've got a thread on the Aladdin's on WoV. I can tell that no one in the thread has much experience with the game. They are wondering about the frequency of the lamps landing in the screen. I tracked it through 2000 spins, a pretty small sample space but good enough to get an idea. The frequencies I got, based on pure empirical evidence look like this:
1st reel: 22 spins
2nd reel: 29
3rd reel: 26
4th reel: 12
5th reel: 10
The 4th and 5th reels are pretty much irrelevant in calculating what is a play. If there are 2 or 3 built up in each one they will most likely be gone by the time you light up one or more of the first three reels. What you hope to happen is they are built back up again when you start lighting up the first three reels.
I use only the first three reels in determining what is or isn't an advantage play. If I find 3 lit up in either the 1st or the 2nd column it's a go. I won't play a bare 3 in the 3rd column. But if the first two columns have one each or at least one of them have a 2 it's a go. Three 2's is a go. And I'll play any combination of 2-2-1.
I have a lot of losing plays but make about 15% on the action overall. A lot of the payback is in the free games which you won't get every play. The question on WoV is when you get the free games should you choose:
2 free games with the 1st, 3rd and 5th columns wild;
6 free games with the 2nd and 4th columns wild;
15 free games with the 3 column wild.
Choosing the 6 free games gets the best return.
Ok so im officially old and not hip to the Strip. Last time I was up here for the PBR two years ago. So I thought I better get over here and see a hockey game before the end of the season. Whoever bet on the Golden Knights to be this good in year one sure is sharp. So the old parking trick to park near the Tropicana and walk through the MGM over to the rink is how I chose to do it. The lion exhibit is now a bar/restaurant. The wicked witch no longer chases Toto and Dorthy. The good news was they have a bank of 3 Aladdins that nobody is guarding. On my way to talk down the scalpers. Not exactly scalpers since they sell below ticket price. This might not be worth the time but it's a hockey night in Vegas!
I haven't really studied the reel frequencies.
I assign a point value to each lamp. Reels 1-3 each lamp is worth 2 points. Reel 4 each lamp is 1 point. 5th reel 1/2 point.
15 or greater points it's a go with the exception of greater than 12 1/2 points if 2 of the first 3 reels contain at least 3 lit lamps. So you are hitting it sooner it seems.
So no more rain forest cafe or board walk Casino with the roller coaster of death but hey the Knights are up 2-1 after a beautiful power play Goal at the end of 1
I saw a creator working one time, thought about trying to swoop in and snap up his leavings before his partner could get there, but chickened out cause I didn't want to potentially get involved in an "incident"
Anyone know what would be likely to happen if someone not associated with the creator jumped on the machine and played off the multipliers before the creator's partner got there?
The 'Oklahoma Indian Casinos" thread over at WoV is pretty funny. The AP's of Oklahoma hope everyone takes Fleastiff's advice and stay out of Oklahoma casinos. They don't want any more competition than they already have. It'll be interesting to see if Puckerbutt makes a comment in the thread. He lives in OKC.
The class II's are easy to recognize. Most have the bingo cards on them. Which means the class III's are easy to recognize. Next time through I'll make a closer inspection for identifying features. I've gotten some looks at the payback screens on some of the video line games. Most are about 90% but some are as high as 93% and 94%.
One trick to use, if the speed stop is not activated, is to request that it be activated. The slot tech will have to roll through the screens to activate it and you get a look at the payback screen.
deleted.
Libtard whores in the Trump thread having great time smearing Hope Hicks. It's to be expected from WoV's resident troll, aids288, but libtard Babs, blinded by her ideology, is chiming in to. She has lost all credibility for moderating the thread.
I do not have an account at WOV (and never did). Could someone who has a WOV account post my answer (or a link to this post: https://vegascasinotalk.com/forum/sh...ed=1#post60952) to some of the questions in the WOV post below:
https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/gamb.../7/#post629449
Basically, there are 52 choose 4 ways of combining a joker with the other 52 non-joker cards in the 53-card deck (52 choose 4 ways of selecting the other 4 non-joker cards to join the joker on the deal). There are 53 choose 5 ways of selecting 5 cards. So you have a 9.4% chance of getting a joker on the draw. The poster in the thread wonders what the chance of observing 27 jokers in 900 hands (deal-draws) is (this is what he or she observed while playing American Gold Poker) if each card has an equal probability of being selected into the draw. There is only a 2.01377E-12% chance (0.0000000000020137731 %) of observing this given a 9.4% chance of observing the joker on the draw for an individual deal-draw. There is a 4.5% chance of observing 85 jokers (the screenshot in this post reads 96 jokers but it should read 85 jokers) in 900 deal-draws (9.4% of 900). In my opinion this means that American Gold Poker is gaffed (jokers have a much smaller chance than 9.4% of getting drawn - the chance is more like 27 out of 900 or perhaps it is dynamic and changes as a function of prior payout). As Axel points out in the WOV thread linked above, this does not necessarily mean you shouldn't play the game because of bonus incentives. But the actual RTP of the game would need to be closely estimated and the deposit bonus (and playthrough requirement) would have to then be factored in to determine if the true RTP >= 100%. Furthermore, the game can be vultured if it adheres to German law (the game can be found at German slot bars as well as online) since the game will have to give a certain minimum RTP if a certain amount of losing is done prior to this.
Now the libtards in the Trump thread are going off on Trump's imposition of tariff's. The silly idiots think our 2.5% tariff on EU cars and the EU's 10% tariff on American cars is a fair and and good free market deal. Trump is also going to lower the boom on Mexico. We used to run a 4 billion dollar surplus with them. Since NAFTA they've enjoyed a 1 trillion dollar surplus with us. Trump is right, the idiots that negotiated these deals for us are stoooooooooopid. This is what stoooooooooopid means.
stupid X 29 = stoooooooooopid
V, Trump is not in Putin's pocket. Hillary was in Putin's pocket with the Uranium One deal. What do you think Trump's greenlight on Keystone, Dakota Access and ANWR will do to Russia's position in the world oil market? I'll answer it for you. Russia goes downhill in the world oil market. It's amazing to me the cockamamie bullshit that liberals blame Trump for.
I'm not particularly liberal, nor am I conservative.
I've read that Russia has compromising info on Donnie, and it is increasingly likely that he's had shady business dealings with oligarchs.
I'm sure Mueller will tell us all in due course.
I get better info from Rachel Maddow than I would on Fox.
Oh, so you watch MSLSD. How much have you learned from Maddow on Hillary's collusion with the Russians, vis a vie, the Steele Dossier? Has she explained to you that the Russians that produced the document and Christopher Steele, who delivered the document to HRC and the DNC were foreigners meddling in an American election? Has she explained to you that felony crimes were committed by certain members of the FBI and the Obama Administration in spying on the Trump Campaign during the election? Has she explained to you that certain members of the FBI obtained the FISA warrant on Carter Page under false circumstances in order to spy on the Trump Campaign? Or is Maddow still stuck on the false narrative, started by this dossier of lies meant to do election damage, that Trump colluded with the Russians?
deleted. duplicate.
The world hasn't had a good crucifixion, in a long time.
I don't recall hearing her talk about that, but then again Hillary lost the election, she's yesterday's news.
The issue is whether Trump won "fair and square," and that question is what is most in need of verification.
Even the most ardent Trump supporters will have to rethink things if it is shown that collusion existed, and the circle seems to be tightening in that regard.
I'm no fan of Clinton; I read "Clinton Cash" pre-election and agree she is a venal, crooked politician.
FWIW I voted Libertarian, as usual.
Just give Mueller a bit more time, he'll announce his findings and lay out any evidence when he's ready; no rush to judgment with him on this matter of great national importance.
I hope no collusion is proven: a constitutional crisis is not a pretty thing.
I dont know if there will be a definitive smoking gun uncovered. There will be proof that his son and or son in law met with russians, but they will insist they never discussed the contents of the meetings with donald. We all know the probability of no discussion are minimal. However try to prove that.
I tend to use the word "disdain" in any sentence with Ms. Clinton. I part company mightily with mickeycrimm on the Trumpster. I have followed this dude for decades; went to the opening of the Taj and all that. Listened to a biography while en route, and have kept up with his many adventures over the years. I agree with probably half of Trump's policies, but anybody who voted for this guy needs to be more responsible. If you can't make a go of it in the casino business (repeatedly), and your businesses have been involved in two lawsuits a week for 30 years, and you needed to get yourself out of being completely underwater with requests to Italian entrepreneurs and (after that failed) a German bank underwritten by the Russian mob, well, good luck as Prez.
Not that I care much, might you. It's entertaining and I probably have a decade to live, so if everything goes to hell, just more entertainment value. Speaking of entertainment, it's about time Hollywood took ownership of the fact they created President Trump with their trash reality show plopping a patriarchal figure with complete power and unquestioned judgement into the public consciousness every week. Hollywood caused Trump as president, so they should take ownership that greed (in this case ratings greed) has consequences that aren't all that tough to anticipate if your electorate isn't paying much attention.
I can tell you right now that no collusion between Trump and the russians will be found and Mueller is up to no good. In the end he will write that he couldn't find any hard evidence but there is a smoking gun. This will give the Dems the ammunition they need, if they win back the majority in the midterms, to impeach Trump. It's an easy thing to vote for impeachment in the House when you hold the majority. But the Dems will never get the 67 votes in the Senate it will take to unseat Trump.
The idea that Trump colluded with the Russians came out of the Steele dossier which was fictitious bullshit written by russians. Hillary's collusion with the russians is not past news and is not irrelevant....but Dems sure want to sweep it under the rug. The Dems are charging Trump, without evidence, of doing the very thing they were doing.
About 93% of stories on Trump by the mainstream news media are negative. So I don't blame you for believing the way you do if that is your only news source. The mainstream news media is the big right arm of the Democratic Party and pretty much don't write anything but fiction on Trump.
If collusion is found and charges are leveled, I've little doubt that Trump will pardon everybody, including himself.
He's that kind of guy.
Quote:
Men and women range themselves into three classes or orders of intelligence; you can tell the lowest class by their habit of always talking about persons; the next by the fact that their habit is always to converse about things; the highest by their preference for the discussion of ideas.
The media is not gullible IMHO Pepe, but rather they are complicit in the deception. Basically Trump does not have puppet strings tied to him - both major parties want a candidate who has puppet strings attached, not a loose cannon like Trump as it threatens their wealth and power (IMHO). When someone like Trump gets elected to the presidency, it becomes so clear how corrupt the media and the branches of government are.
Babs, Romes, ams288, and Terapined, the leaders in the Trump hating at Wov, God bless their little hearts, just don't have any street smarts. They have no clue that Trump haters are exactly what Putin and his trolls were/are after creating. To me it just doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the Russians ultimate goal is a weakened America. How do you do that? By polarizing it's people. When we are to busy infighting we spend less time taking care of other issues and keeping an eye on the rest of the world.
No one, including the Russians, thought Trump could win the election. They were as surprised as anyone when he did. The material they put out before the election wasn't pro Trump, it was anti-Hillary. They were after undermining a Hillary presidency. Because that's who they thought would win. And it really came down to just a few to many black voters in Detroit and Milwaukee staying home on election day or Hillary would have won.
Why would the Russians want Trump as President? They easily manipulated Hillary with the Uranium One deal and wound up with 25% of America's uranium. You can bet your ass they hacked her private email server too. Do you really think they thought they had a better chance of manipulating Trump? When Trump won, surprising the hell out of the Russians, they immediately switched to anti-Trump material. Shortly after taking office Trump bombed Syria over their use of chemical weapons, something the Russians absolutely did not like. And now he has given the greenlight to Keystone, Dakota Access and ANWR which is going to thoroughly weaken the Russian position in the world oil market. You can bet your ass Putin was well aware of Trump possibly doing that if he got elected--and he knew the Democrats would never make a move like that. I suspect Trump has other moves planned against the Russians. So idiots like Terapined really need to get their heads out of their asses on Trump being a puppet of Putin.
As the crow flies the real puppets, dupes, of Vladimir Putin are the Trump haters. Putin is laughing his ass off at how stupid they are. They are playing right into his master plan of a weakened America. A divided, polarized, America is what Putin is after and the Trump haters are helping him do it.
A Trump hater is a de facto Putin lover.
Putin is after what Russia has wanted for centuries: recognition as a world power, respect, a warm water port, and political / trading allies.
Interesting to see how Russia has risen from the ashes of the failed USSR.
I am not well versed in this. But it seems they have "risen" militarily but at ground level in communities the people are not better off. I dont think the quality of life for the average citizen has improved.
The same can be said about we Americans.
Regardless, we judge the strength and power of other countries based primarily on military / politcal factors, not social.
The Scandinavian countries have a happy, well-grounded population and are arguably "number one" in that regard, yet they are not a world power.
It would be great if the most powerful countries had the happiest populations, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
America is circling the toilet, with rampant disenchantment as evidence by gun violence, drug addiction, and massive incarceration of its denizens.
Let's just hope we figure it out before the whole thing disapperars in a blinding nuclear flash.
In the case of these short term positive plays you don't pot shot them. The money is thrown back and forth between you and the house. Just a little more gets thrown your way than to the house. Although you will average about a 15% earn on the total action through dozens of plays, with the starting strategy I use, every play is not going to be a winner. You don't want to get in the habit of getting up without completing the play if you experience some negative variance and get in for more money than you figure to win when you get the columns lit up wild. That's a bad move. You want to complete the play no matter what happens. In the long run it's the cheapest way out. You destroy the edge if you are in the habit of getting up before you complete the play just because you got stuck for more than you wanted to. So you need enough bankroll to cover your ass when a play goes tits up.
The welfare folks in this country are generrally obese. They arent skin and bones like the poor people in europe. They often have TVs, and phones, and rooms of furniture.
Now in this world where there is alot of stuff to own,...yes there is a bigger divided between those that have and those that have not.
Because in the 60s there were no computers, and smart phones, and cable, and dsigner jeans,/sneakers, video games,. It was a simpler life and the haves and have not had similar things....but the richer had better quality....homes, food, tvs, furnitire. The poor people in Russia were closer to our poor people.
But now, I think our poor people kick the ass of the russian poor.(not talking about homeless who refuse to use the system and resources)
Our poor can walk into a large fully stocked supermarket and armed with food stamps get good food if they choose. In russia people still stand on line to get toilet paper or fresh produce. They would switch places with our poorin a heatbeat.
Sure there is a bigger discrepancy between rich and poor in the 2000's...but thats because there is so much more stuff available to own than in the 60.But our welfare folks are fed and sheltered and clothed. I dont care if they dont have cable or a flat screen, or a smart phone, or new storebought clothes.
