I don't have a problem with Redietz' position whatsoever, so all due apologies if I said anything that might imply that I do. As I have maintained in the past, everything that KewlJ has said vis-a-vis the math has been remarkably consistent over a very long period of time, but if KewlJ is to be believed now, lying in a way that remains remarkably consistent...even about matters that are of no consequence...is not outside of what he is perfectly happy to do on the forums, so who the hell knows?
Anyway, I do not see where Redietz has done or said anything wrong. Taken alone, the math behind KewlJ's claims remains supportable.
Pardon my confusion (stupidity) here. But aren't there quite a few other AP's here who didn't have to create a false on-line persona? Why did Kewl have to create this misdirection while the other APs did not.

Hey, Garnabby, my take on things has pretty much always been that casinos are evil bastards and the job is to prevent them from exploiting innumerate everymans.
However, with that specific attitude, the overall context in which I frame things is that gambling is one experiential consumer (call it choice or call it addiction, your choice/addiction) option. There are literally thousands of others, and it may be misleading to lump slots, poker, and sports betting as "addictive gambling" when they are so disparate, while buying fast food, or fossil fuels to drive, may be as addictive in terms of expenditure and repeating behaviors as any accepted "gambling" categories.
So I'm one of those people who thinks that blowing money on gambling experiences isn't necessarily worse than blowing it on SUVs or Big Macs. Because Americans have so much money, until you get to a relatively huge chunk, who's to say this is a good consumer choice versus that? We're exposed to somewhere between 5,000 and 10,000 ads a day. If they weren't addictive, they wouldn't be there.
Thus, I lump it all together as addictive purchase of unnecessary things/experiences/services. Who am I to say blowing 10K a year on slots is worse than blowing it on Whoppers and pizza?
My job, as I see it, is to report on the realities of the math, not to tell folks what they should do with their money. The former is objective; the latter is subjective.

The only thing that I don't understand is why some people are cockblowers who would categorically deny that AP exists, or criticize AP's for doing what they do. What the hell are you even doing on a gambling forum, then? I use information to make money and share information (that I come about on my own---not what I am told) so other people can make money, if they choose. Who the fuck is anyone to tell me what I should do or not do? I don't tell people they need to go out and AP and I don't care what recreational players do with their own money.
My only concerns with recreational gamblers is that I hope people can avoid gambling addiction, recognize if they have signs of same and I try to talk people off of believing in systems...and especially paying for bad gambling advice when I offer good gambling advice for free. Other than that, your money, you do what you want.
But, I understand there are some people who have nothing useful, much less positive, to offer either here or anywhere...and they have to get their rocks off somehow. Not saying you're one of them Garnabby, but they are out there, so I guess everyone else will just have to live with them.
Also, Garnabby, MickeyCrimm has been helpful to me in many ways and, I would like to think, that I have been at least a little helpful to him. I know I was helpful to him at least once. Who the hell have you ever helped on here? You're not fit to hold Crimm's jock.
What, straight up vulturing is low income? I don't know and won't say no...depends on what your definition is. My average hour spent vulturing is worth it for my time, or I wouldn't do it. That would be $52,000/year given 40 hours a week and 52 weeks a year...I work a bit less than that overall and may or may not make a bit more than that. But, again, $25/hour is my bare minimum for doing anything.

It took several days and my attorney getting involved to get that information XXXed out. But it has since been repeated on other forums, by Moses and Mdawg and Pm's sent around the community. So one more thing about that forum, true passages that Mdawg posts at. He is the only person posting in the gambling section and has created a thread for every person who has ever challenged his claims including members here. I happen to believe Mdawg owns or is associated with that forum. It is out of southern California and is a forum about writing and stories and that is what he does.
Ok, continuing to move on, unrelated last fall I was backed of play in another city that resulted in a new entry in one of the big databases. That happens. Part of the job. I have had a small number of entries over the years. You take a little break, waiting for fresher entries to bump you from the front page or screen because that is all most pit folks look at. My entries have never had ANY information with them. Not even a AKA (also know as). That wasn't by accident.
So late last week, my pit friend informed me that my last entry from last fall had been updated with personal information, my name, address, age, and bumped back to the front page. That very information from this doxxing. I haven't even played in 6 weeks.
Now my proof that it was Mdawg that doxxed me on what I beleive is HIS true passages forum, using a sock puppet: Early last summer, when Mdawg announced he was looking for a residence in LV, I forget what he said but it seemed like he was interested in a high end, high rise condo close to the strip. So while, yes I put his name out there (and his on line Law School which seems to be the thing that really embarrasses him) that harms him in no way, other than maybe his ability to keep posting these phony claims. It doesn't hurt him financially unless it hurts some future book deal. That is far different than doxxing an AP who depends on anonymity to be able to play and earn a living. And frankly anyone on gambling forums, I don't care if you are an AP or not, or professional, serious or recreational player, doxxing a fulltime AP that makes a living off casinos is a line that can not be crossed and should not be tolerated on any gambling related forum.
Now while I know where this new information to my database entry came from, did it really just get updated now, from a doxxing 6 weeks or 2 months ago, or did Mdawg now send the info to the database company. I don't have proof of that but it is highly likely since he didn't cause the damage he wanted from the doxxing, he took the next step.
So that brings up up to this weekend. Upon learning of this new developement, I tried to do something. I knew few would really believe my little flip flop, but I thought it might create just enough doubt or confusion, not on the forums but more so with the database people to at least muddy the waters. But that is not going to happen now, with all this discussion. I am screwed. I don't know if it is a fatal blow to my career, or something a little (probably a lot) of time can heal. But for the 3rd time now posting on forums has put me and my career at risk. This time, I was actually just trying to be a nice guy and advise Mdawg of a place that fit what he was looking for and might be interested in.

Ok, continuing to move on, unrelated last fall I was backed of play in another city that resulted in a new entry in one of the big databases. That happens. Part of the job. I have had a small number of entries over the years. You take a little break, waiting for fresher entries to bump you from the front page or screen because that is all most pit folks look at. My entries have never had ANY information with them. Not even a AKA (also know as). That wasn't by accident.
So late last week, my pit friend informed me that my last entry from last fall had been updated with personal information, my name, address, age, and bumped back to the front page. That very information from this doxxing. I haven't even played in 6 weeks.

Hey, Garnabby, my take on things has pretty much always been that casinos are evil bastards and the job is to prevent them from exploiting innumerate everymans.
However, with that specific attitude, the overall context in which I frame things is that gambling is one experiential consumer (call it choice or call it addiction, your choice/addiction) option. There are literally thousands of others, and it may be misleading to lump slots, poker, and sports betting as "addictive gambling" when they are so disparate, while buying fast food, or fossil fuels to drive, may be as addictive in terms of expenditure and repeating behaviors as any accepted "gambling" categories.
So I'm one of those people who thinks that blowing money on gambling experiences isn't necessarily worse than blowing it on SUVs or Big Macs. Because Americans have so much money, until you get to a relatively huge chunk, who's to say this is a good consumer choice versus that? We're exposed to somewhere between 5,000 and 10,000 ads a day. If they weren't addictive, they wouldn't be there.
Thus, I lump it all together as addictive purchase of unnecessary things/experiences/services. Who am I to say blowing 10K a year on slots is worse than blowing it on Whoppers and pizza?

I won't reveal too much of our conversation and was surprised he posted about this...since I actually thought he was going to stop posting entirely...but he basically PM'ed me the substance of what he posted today, yesterday, because he apparently felt that I was getting pretty close to figuring it out and would have eventually done it and said something.
He has now said something, but I'm obviously not going to share any other details of our conversation.
The one area (only because KewlJ mentioned it) where I disagree with him is that I don't think MDawg not being an AP gave KewlJ rights to doxx him. In my opinion, and I'd think most others, it doesn't change that what KewlJ did was Doxxing. I've never heard of any standard where you either Doxx or not Doxx based on whether or not you consider a person a liar or how much damage it is going to do to them, or whatever. Even if it's not anything over the level of embarrassment, if you Doxx someone, then you're doing it to cause some type of damage to them and it's really just not a Forum rule (and almost all forums I have seen, if not all, have that rule---gambling or otherwise) where it's up to interpretation or caveats.
So, I think what happened with KewlJ is very unfortunate and I am quite surprised that whoever did it would take it that far, but what I said to KewlJ was, "It looks like you did it first, but he (whether it was MDawg or someone else pissed that KewlJ Doxxed MDawg) did it better."
Anyway, that's where we are at with the whole thing. I'll wish KewlJ good luck and hope for the best for him after he drops back off of the radar...if he plans to continue to primarily be a card counter, I don't think he'll be very active in that regard until that happens.

I have no idea how they got that last pic, but that is an example of a devastating entry. This guy seems to have disappeared from the blackjack forums. No surprise. He likely can't play anywhere.
So what makes the written information now accompanying my photo problematic, besides that it got bumped is all this new info. Here in Vegas I am sure there are pit folks taking a little closer look because of the Vegas address. "It's like oh this guy lives in Vegas, oh yeah I have seen him"
Maybe it will all blow over at some point 3-4 months down the road, but I suspect I will have at least some longer-term loss of games at certain casinos, maybe with certain pit personnel now.
Now the thing is Mdawg doxxed me, hoping to damage me in this way, to damage a full-time AP...simply because I and other don't believe his "story". Looking back the doxxing itself is a little over 2 months old. But he has been sending around the information via PM to different people. I believe it very likely that when the doxxing didn't have the effect he wants he sent the info directly to one of the database companies and that is why it all came to life in the last week. I mean I haven't even played for 6 weeks.
This just should not be tolerated on any gambling type forum. I can't ask Dan Druff to do anything since Mdawg doesn't post here, (because he can't use sock puppets) and the Gambling Forums admin is not a gambling guy, he is a forum guy who just loves the traffic, so he won't do anything, But I hope this wakes Wizard up and he takes action and stops enabling and protecting this guy. Some sort of penalty from Wizard won't change my situation, but he should send a message that is a line that can't be crossed. I am not holding my breath though.

I was concerned about KJ a long time ago when he first started writing about identifying (doxxing) MDawg. MDawg being wealthy and a lawyer meant he was the wrong guy to be fucking with. The unwritten rule of the advantage player community of not exposing an advantage player's identify does not spill over into the civilian world.
To me it was pretty much a no brainer that, given his background and resources, MDawg would identify KJ and expose him.
