I love it. So now these nasty people that say some of the nastiest, most vile things are really nice people in real life. Fun, Grandfatherly lovable types. They just happen to go off the deep end, when someone challenges ridiculous. claims they have made for decades.
And isn't it funny, this pretending to be nasty group, is the same group of people that have told ridiculous gambling stories for decades. AND they are oddly enough the same people that if you look them up by their real name, you find all sorts of information that not only don't fit with their 'I won millions of dollars claim", but also doesn't fit for their "I'm really a nice guy' claim. And then really weird is some of these people like Singer and Redietz are actually posting their real information on an anonymous forum, knowing what people will find when they look them up.
So every step of the way they aren't who they claim, from the millions won using hocus-pokus gambling techniques, to everything else about them. It is like they want to be found out just so they can fight with people. Redietz once said Singer and another guy on this forum who I won't mention where just fictional characters. I believe that. And I NOW believe Redietz is one too with all his little weird stories.
But most of the APs on this forum are not fictional characters. For the most part they are people who are pretty much who we claim, doing what we claim, whether we meet and hang out with other APs or are more the solo type player, sticking to ourselves. Whatever we chose to share about what we do is real, the math works and it is also the way the casino industry works. Axelwolf, mickeycrimm, myself, even Zenking, which I am not sure why so many here don't like, jbjb back when he posted, (probably forgetting some) but everything these real players share is real and exactly how things work, including the math. There is NEVER any "how the fuck did you do that" when something defies the math, because the claims don't defy the math.
There are other real APs on this forum that I didn't mention, because they don't share many claims. And that is fine too. But if a person shares some claim of winning, it should "work", mathematically and reality-wise. It shouldn't be some fantasy-fiction thing, that you immediately spot, like progression Systems and special plays and "betting into hot streaks" and casinos love me so no countermeasures for winning millions of dollars. These things are some kind of fantasy fiction. They don't belong here or on any gambling forum. They belong on a forum for fantasy fiction writers, which interestingly enough....at least one of these people came from.
If I am the bad guy for calling out these bullshit stories, then so be it. I make my living gambling, and I just don't find this kind of complete fiction amusing.
It is just really funny that the same 3 or 4 people who have claims that are complete bullshit, defying everything and the same 3 or 4 really nasty people and now some are saying "yeah but I am really a nice guy in real life".
And for those that think they probably wouldn't get along with me in real life, you may not. I am younger than most here, and I take my gambling seriously, because It is what I do for a living. But I am also a pretty normal guy. I love sports, even when not betting on them. I love my family, which is small, my brother and mother, have a great group of friends including my BF that I love doing all sorts of fun things with. Even going into business with my BF next month. I am sarcastic and have a strange sense of humor which I know doesn't come across here.
But the one thing I am serious about.... dead serious about is gambling because it is what I do for a living and for me there has been a lot of work involved in that. And I just don't like bullshit claims that cheapen what I and other real APs do. Just don't pretend to be what Rob Singer, and others pretend and we will get along fine. Just don't piss on my leg and tell me it is raining.
I think that for some people posting online is escapism & for others it’s real life.
I also think that something many of the people that think it’s escapism really enjoy doing is needling the ones that take it very seriously.

In gambling, you can not write off more than you have won. Then you start needing to prove where those additional funds came from for one, and there is no benefit for writing off more as you are not going to get any additional deductions.
Note, that the 90% of losses is against REPORTED WINS... Reported wins are W2G or Stated Income...
If you are a slot player, your wins are shown on W2G's...
If you are a professional black jack player, your wins come from what you state...
IF you were to report EVERY WIN, and EVERY LOSS, the amount would be crazy that you would owe... Say you are a professional black jack player and you decide to be a fuckass and report every win and every loss, itemized... Based on the new law, say you won $1,000,000 worth of hands, and lost $900,000 worth of hands.... Not only are you paying tax on $100,000 worth of income but also an additional $90,000 for your losses you decided to report. Do you think you are better off itemizing and paying taxes on $190,000 worth of income even though you only made $100,000?
I'm tired of repeating myself. You guys are in denial if you think this isn't going to effect you. But if you are playing $0.25 video poker and lower it wont... $0.50 video poker player will only effect you if you hit a royal... etc etc...
It applies to W2G payouts mainly... Judging by the "Big Casino Wins and Jackpots" thread, majority of you aren't playing enough for this to matter...
Fact is, 10% of W2G's are now taxable... No additional "writing off losses" is going to cancel that out...
If you aren't getting W2G's it doesn't apply to you.
If you have gotten W2G's in the past, you know how to handle the taxes with them...
I know very very well about W2G's... Unfortunately my tax guy in 2015 tax year neglected to account for about $120K worth of W2G's... I found out when I got a tax bill for about $35K... They said I could file an amended return so I did.. They denied it because they said "I could not file additional losses"... Lawyers involved etc, we tried to explain to the IRS how it worked where you could get a W2G for a "Win" but it actually just get you even or you still have a loss for that session etc... No luck... I got fucked and had to pay $35K plus penalties etc on W2G income I didn't actually have... So I've been there before and it fucking sucks...
For you brokeass fucks, this doesn't matter to you.
For those of you who are playing, winning or not, every W2G you need to keep in mind, unless this bill changes, 10% of that win is going to be taxable winning year or not...

I asked my former son-in-law about this new 90% issue yesterday. He's now a regional audit mgr. so he should have the latest info. He doesn't--not yet, and not for a while. His "opinion" for 2026: keep filing the way you've been filing with the W2G's because if there's a change from the previous 3 years the computers may flag the return for eyes to look at it. So nobody really knows yet. The tax experts have their court case precedents but you dont really want it to get to that stage. At least I wouldn't.
