The only thing I can say here is short term results can be different than long term results. Personally my short term sessions added together have not turned into typical long term results and I have 2 years of actual consecutive game data to back that up. Have I just been lucky?? For 2 years... doubtful. I also have session results that go back even further which seem to support what I'm seeing.
Now I'm not saying that I believe everything Singer is claiming here... but do I believe that he could end up a winner after 4 years playing his strategy? Yes, I definitely think it's possible.
And I think that's the key right there. Recreational players typically get up from a machine after they've lost their money. We constantly see people get way up hitting numerous great hands, but then just keep on pounding until the machine takes a nosedive and cleans them out. When this happens there is likely a little EV left in that machine because it will have to eventually go on another positive deviation to get back to average RTP.
