Philadelphia (PHL) on AA runs up to 5 Non Stops a day to LAS, now has none for the next month. All connect through their hubs in Charlotte, Dallas or Phoenix. And you are correct, prices are up.

But I don’t think SD is the reason. There won’t be enough demand for full flights until people get over this nonsense.

In other news TI is stating they will open May 15th. Time will tell and “subject to change” but I’m betting Alan got excited for the 1st time in years without a blue pill.

Sample size is too small. I mean, even with 500 patients, there may be thousands of different anecdotal experiences with other types and degrees of "miracle" cures out there that look good, at first. So, a few of those "miracle" cures might seem sure-fire, at first.

Regardless, this one does sound counter-intuitive, with the virus attacking the lungs. As well, has smoking ever helped anyone with the flu, or cold?

Check out this safty sheild proposal with a barrier both between the players and between the players and dealer, with only an opening at the bottom to place bets. Looks like they can squeeze 4 to a table instead of the proposed 3 with this prototype.

The virtual gaming and stadium blackjack which combines a TITO (ticket in ticket out) system with a live dealer was already a concern of mine, being a card counter, even before this Covid 19 pandemic. I think those technologies were going to be a problem for me at some point and this situation is only going to speed that up.

The total virtual game, like the one with 5 seats and has the virtual female dealers with big boobs, is only played at low limits, like $5. People playing $25, $50, $100 tables aren't likely to embrace that so easily.

Now the stadium blackjack that that combines a live dealer with a TITO and allows for one dealer to serve 50-100 players, I think that is going to expand rapidly when casinos re-open.

Back when I was in Philly, 10 years ago, Parx had a blackjack table, regular table in the pit, seating 6 or 7 that used a TITO system. It was a regular table but had a screen in front of every player, You inserted your cash and then bet from the screen making the game chipless, but the dealer dealt the cards just like a regular game. I haven't seen that anywhere else since then until this shutdown, I saw someone promote a variation of that as a possibility.

These things are my biggest fear right now. I think we were already heading in this direction, but this situation is going to speed things up

I just picked up on this story on Twitter.

"Cosmopolitan executives do not want to reopen the resort until the end of the summer if they don't have to, according to an insider. Here are the expected occupancy rates:

June..........16%
July...........22%
August......28%

No hotel casino can turn a profit with numbers like that."

So it now looks to me that the casinos now taking reservations for May and June are doing so just to see what the numbers look like....and they are not looking very good. So for Las Vegas it looks like redietz might get his wish.

Their numbers will skyrocket if an actual reopen date is given. People are ready to get back to living life.

Wow! Gov Sisolak, is going to extend Nevada's stay at home order tomorrow. He has also said that when he starts opening things, Casinos will be in the 3rd or 4th phase. That puts them towards the end of June at the earliest.

I personally don't completely disagree as I believe Casinos should probably be about the last things to open. But Nevada's economy is a one trick pony. There is nothing else. He is going to start coming under a lot of pressure from casinos. You know the kind of big money donors that a governor running for a second term will need. :rolleyes:

Nevada Casino Commission is saying that when casinos open there will be occupancy limits. This would set up a line waiting to get in like at night clubs. The commission said it would have to be a next in line, next in policy to avoid discrimination. You know the casinos will want a higher tier special line, like at restaurants and check in and things. The commission is saying "no".

So my question is if it would be discriminatory to allow higher tier players in the casino first, why is it not discriminatory to seat or serve them first? Isn't it the same exact thing?

I was making plans to be at CDC for the reopening. Its just a 330 mile drive from here. But Idaho doesn't lift its 14 day quarantine for leisure travelers into the state until May 30th at the earliest. Some people told me to lie my way in but I told them no way I would put myself, traveling with my car and cash, in a situation like that.

Self quarantine this!

I saw 3-6 weeks for West Virginia casinos. They were among the last to close, yet things haven't been bad there at all.

It appears there is a pent up demand for casinos. At least in rural Idaho. And the requirements and restrictions didn’t seem to bother the customers.
