No need to be sorry Alan. You can believe whatever you like. I have come to realize that sometimes I can be too sensitive with people challenging me and what I do, especially those that aren't blackjack players. I never really had this occur until I left WoV the first time and came to forums like this and GF. THAT was the first time I encountered it all these anti-AP types challenging everything.
So whether you believe it or not, counting a second table was a very real and profitable thing, when conditions were right to do it. Again, conditions had to be just right, so it wasn't like a daily thing.
The funny thing about that discussion to me, is I had never seen discussion of this before I mentioned it. Well there was one exchange between myself and a long-time player that played Atlantic City back when I did, and we discovered we both did some of the same things back then, including tracking a second table. But after this discussion on this forum, I heard from 3 other players, 2 blackjack hall of fame members and one long-time 30 year member of Tommy Hylands team that all confirmed they had employed this at times when conditions were right. So that is 4 longtime players of many years, that all gravitated towards the same technique. I am quite sure there were many more.
Doesn't really matter anymore as I have no real desire to argue this or any other thing I do that anyone may have the need to challenge. Just doesn't benefit me in any way. As a matter of fact, I am better off people thinking whatever they want to think. AND specific to this particular technique, counting a second table, when conditions are right, this has all but dried up in the post covid era. Covid really didn't have anything to do with it, it was just the timing that conditions changed like number of tables dwindling ect. Station casinos for example all put in stadium blackjack reducing the number of real blackjack tables at almost every location. New table games with higher house advantage push BJ to the side more and more every day. This year, I think I have been able to employ tracking a second table one time, and last year it was a very small handful of times, so I see no sense in discussing it any longer, it is a moot point.
Happy day to you Alan.
