Really? Should we vote on that? ;)

68. You think about betting one of Monet's puck line parlay picks when walking by the sports book.
Who cares? What does matter is that, I guess, neither could you win a single point, against me, without your trying to thus garble something.
The Herr Dictator of the numerology site banned me because I made a jackass of him there. He claimed that he predicted the exact score of the Super Bowl. In a removed sense, well, he did. In actuality, the "prediction" was based on a childishly stupid error in his very own calculations. I mean, he's been at it for five years, almost every day, with blogs and you-tube appearances about his "famous" numerological numerals. Like gamblers, and atheists, I guess, numerologists instinctively think that they are scientists, too.
Problem is that his "prediction" went by integers to do with calendar date-distance calculations. But, as with such common-year calculations, too, those aren't meant to, ever, be anything more than, at the integer level, quite rough or approximate calculations.
Calendars, which and whose -ever, are just man-made convenient constructs of time, for the masses (of dimwits) to chart time in an approximate sense. Believe it, or not, to claim that someone is so many years (and zero months & zero days) old on a birthday is next to never the case. Note that a year is about 365.242189 days long.
So, the guy's big "reveal", about the Super Bowl, turned out to be only of his very own epic long-term stupidity.
69. After laughing about the thought of betting one of Monet's puck line picks. You turn around and make the bet because you get a better price than Monet posted.
70. The voices in your head told you to bet 1,088 dollars on Toronto and Tampa and you listened to them.
All different types of gamblers have different levels of affordability. What 100.00 dollars is to one person is what 1,000.00 dollars is to someone else, and on and on.
When people like me talk about losing money I could afford and having a good time doing it, the alleged AP’s are all over me for playing negative games. I’m a fucking idiot for not moving close to casinos and spending my life in them. It’s hard to believe anyone would think my wife and I would actually wait for special bonus days or promotions to pound coin in.
But when members like Kewlj post losing money I assume they could afford for entertainment, all is well.
Even Dan Druff posting years of losing money with his picks. It’s okay I guess because he owns the site.
The hypocrisy on this site is second to none. Only AP’s could lose money for fun. Can’t make this shit up.
Kewlj, you're not fooling anyone. We know you read this post and all the other alleged people you claim to ignore. Keep pretending your hiding like the yellow bitch you really are.
You may try to ignore the fact all you want, but, like alcohol, weed, and so on, well, no matter the dosage, the person, etc, there just is no (general or casual) up-side. Specifically, there is no right amount to bet at a casino.
Funny people come to the internet to argue and ignore because they can no longer convince even themselves of such things.
Someone who is content and satisfied with themselves would not even waste time thinking about what others have to say about them. I believe kewlJ, does not care in the least, why do you? Both of you pay your own bills so why be bothered with internet bullshit "that it does seem obvious that this bothers you in your case"?
Here I am pointing out AP hypocrisy on a gambling forum that I read and post on often. Sure enough with the same certainty the sun will rise tomorrow morning, one of the forum clever fools will step to the plate and post some type of nonsense why anyone should care what others say about them.
Well BO BO the answer is simple. When it’s full-blown bullshit about and concerning me a member of this forum, or the stupid bullshit point you tried to make I fucking care idiot.
I don’t take shit from anyone especially clowns like you BO BO.
In a sense, kewlJ and blackhole are agreeing with each other here. For kewlJ, his sports betting is a negative expectation break from what he does for a living. For blackhole, all of his gambling is a negative expectation break from what he does or did for a living. He's earned retirement. They both do the negative expectation stuff as a break, an entertainment, a recharge, from the mental and/or social grind that earned them daily bread.
I would criticize blackhole for doing non-optimal gambling when he gambles, but I won't criticize him for the gambling itself. He might say being optimal would make it less fun, less spontaneous, more of a chore. My answer would be something like, "C'mon, man, you're blowing mucho bucks here; it wouldn't take much to be precise and at least closer to optimal." For kewlJ, if he plays parlays or parlay cards or doesn't shop for numbers, I'd say, c'mon, man, you can put in a little more effort and brains than that. I'd criticize his slovenliness, but not the fact he's betting sports as a break from the grind.
I argue this attitude in the "Defending the Army" section of this blog entry: https://theskepticalgambler.blogspot...adventure.html
Recreational gamblers, at least those of us with discipline, gamble for fun, for stimulation, for escape from our daily existence and our day jobs (or retirement, whichever the case may be).
AP's gamble to earn their daily bread.
This is a big difference and understandably colors the way each looks at gambling.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but where is the "fun" in being an AP?
While certainly not an expert on different methods of AP, those I have read about do not seem to be fun: hole carding, shuffle tracking, card counting, playing with other's cards: no joy there, just a lot of hard work.
Recreational gamblers (we who are not degenerate, anyway) have already made our money and are looking for ways to spend it: gambling is one way.
To each his or her own.
It's just a waste of time, hardly enjoyable in the sense of learning something exciting and new, or, some other such activity. Basically, another bastardization of the word, recreation.
Persons who, truly, possess the skills pontificated, by the likes of Ozzy, aren't doing anything that resembles the so-called AP stuff.
This surely is great entertainment. Maybe even, recreation.
There's a heck of a lot more academic articles written about such gambling/gaming than even the idiotic stuff found on any of these forums. The recreation of being able to outstrip that of addiction, however.
Let me explain 2 things to you Blackhole. First, of course I can see some of your posts. People quote them and I see them, or sometimes I view the site on my phone, where I am not logged in, which means I see the posts from people on my ignore list. When I say I am putting someone on ignore. it just means, I can no longer be bothered with them, because they refuse to grow up and stop being a jackass. Case in point: the interaction you just had with BoSox. He didn't insult you in any way. Showed respect and treated you like an adult. You respond with name calling, proving yet again, what a small and insecure person you are.
You called me a yellow bitch. I am not running from anyone. I take far more abuse than most, and come back to fight, but there comes a point when you say "why bother". That's where I am with you and others on my ignore. You are just not worth my time. I get nothing beneficial from interacting with you...EVER.
Second thing is your so intent on trolling me, again proving your insecurity, that you don't even realize what 2 other people have tried to point out to you. You are arguing the same point. There is nothing wrong with recreational gambling, -EV gambling, as long as you are in control and it doesn't effect your life. I certainly don't think you are in that category, but I think someone on this forum, or used to be on this forum, was. That is why I made that special caveat.
Now where I do have a problem is when someone is a losing, -EV player, and wants to mislead everyone into thinking they are a winning player, making millions, or having every trip, every session, be a winning session. That I will argue, especially if I think there is anyone, even 1 single person that might be buying that crap. You will notice, I didn't say a word about EvenBobs claims at WoV. There is no one, and I mean, not a single person that is buying that and being mislead.
Blackhole, you desperately seem to want to engage with me. When I ignore you, you cry and literally beg me to respond to you as you did here. If you want me to treat you like an adult, you have got to stop with all the name calling. You are not in freaking 3rd grade. You don't have to like me or anyone else, you don't have to believe me or anyone else. You can disagree with me and others. But if all you have is to call someone names, then there is no reason for anyone to give you the time of day. Everyone will ignore you like garnaby or whatever his handle is.
The above is only two things? Well, I did read the first sentence. Couldn't help it, it had a number in it.
You cannot get away with this bullshit implication of yours that says:
AP's gamble to earn their daily bread.
Is it not possible that a successful person in life cannot also be a part-time real AP in a casino for entertainment purposes? You can't have both? Those of you who imply the highlighted above quote says this as a fact are only trying to insult someone in a disrespectful manner out of jealousy because they themselves are not AP's. Please do not lump all AP's into the same category out of hate.
This depends on the individual AP's motivations period. Once again you try to put every AP into the same boat, which could not be further from the truth.
[/QUOTE]
In real life, they are most likely toasting with a glass of prune juice.
I don't play blackjack, baccarat or any card games so a large portion of the AP menu is closed to me.
I only play certain higher limit slots and craps.
Of course there are some recreational, non-professional players who want to play with an edge: good luck figuring it out and pulling it off, but given the fact that there are no AP avenues available to me with my chosen games (slots and craps) I'll just have to pass on AP.
Well, that's not true. Mickey Crimm and others have spoken about advantage play on different slot machines. It is out of my wheel house as far as knowledge and probably math abilities, but it is definitely doable if you have an interest.
Advantage play is a mindset. Part of it, is just beating the casino at it's own game(s). Don't get me wrong....I am in it for the money. AP is how I support myself. But I do get an extra little kick of enjoyment out of beating the casinos. :)
Not to pick on you MrV, but I don't get those that say, learning to play with an advantage takes the fun out. I guess it is just me, but I don't see where it is fun to sit at a slot machine pushing a button and expecting (expectation) to lose. Same with rolling dice, or watching a little ball spin (roulette). I guess that is why I don't play those games.
Now I do AP some video poker. And along the same lines, I don't find it much fun to sit THERE and push a button over and over. I do it only because of the expectation to long-term winning.
Blackjack, I sort of like and enjoy blackjack, even after all the rounds I have played. I know a lot of people don't, even AP's say it is the most boring game. I can see that. I still enjoy it. But take the ability for me to count cards and play with an advantage, and I will never sit down at a blackjack table again.
