But I avoid going downtown now, I stay in the non-woke suburbs where my home is.

You have to shop the gold dealers in every town. These are the coin shops. First google the spot price. Then call a gold dealer and check their price for a gold coin or bar that day.

Right now COMEX has the spot price at 3355 per ounce, APMEX at 3365. And right now I can buy krugs in a particular coin shop for 3393. The difference between the spot and retail is the premium, Thats around 1% here.

What you dont want to do is buy gold advertised on TV. They get 10% or higher premiums. Stick to the coin shops.

I always call coin shops to see what they have in stock and get that days price then compare it to the spot price. I wont buy from the ones with high premiums.
