IRS Form 5754 Splitting Of Gambling Winnings
Though Frank ran video poker teams he might as well have been a shift supervisor at a restaurant. He was a working stiff and lived like a working stiff, from paycheck to paycheck. He never learned how to build and maintain a bankroll. We all know stories of those who worked for wages in a trade and wound up owning their own business in that trade. Frank never pulled that off. I have to wonder why. That team was in existence for years, made a lot of money, and didn't die out until the progressives dried up.
Frank made it clear to me: there wasn't a bet in Vegas he would use his own money to make.
All you APs should take notice.
Total bs. Kew says he would "consider" showing some unclear type of tax documents that supposedly "prove" he's a "professional ap" yet he would not ever be willing to prove that he's the winner he claims to be with a live witness on-hand. Gee....big whoop!
And he wants nothing to do with a bad boy like me. Guess how the freak would react once he understands I'm packin' a monster. :)
After a couple of meetings with Frank, the following was very clear to me about him:
--He enjoyed playing for teams and he was super addicted to the poker machines.
--He would not be able to play VP if he wasn't playing for a team because he had little to no money.
--He has an intellect well beyond that of a normal human being....so much so that it tormented him.
--He was really not all that interested in living a whole lot longer.
--He was a chain smoker and a constant nervous wreck. Twice I needed to inform him that he had 2 cigarettes going.
--He was very proud of his good friend (a playboy bunny) over at the Palms and he talked about her often.
--Like the wizard thought--and as many critics initially think about me--he believed I was just some oddball, uneducated gambling chump until he met me.
Frank has some serious health problems, beyond what Rob mentioned. Keep him in your prayers.
AP’s stick together like prairie-dogs. Their always out foraging on forums looking for suckers that buy into their un-proven insecure fallacy. Why they don’t just stay in their protected site the WOV is beyond me.
They find plenty saps at the WOV. These members are the same fools that think Mike S. is a professional AP. The new owners that took Mike S. out of bankruptcy could care less about the forum. They would change the forum from gambling to cooking if it meant they could convince more members to play on their un-regulated online casinos in third world countries. Yet, the self-proclaimed AP’s that are still there want to convince others and pretend the WOV site is the Holy Grail to gambling. That’s because if there is any AP resistance, the idiots who monitor it will ban anyone to prevent the AP’s from embarrassment. In return, the owners expect the AP’s to continue with their fake fallacy who probably help convince newbies, saps, and rookie gamblers to try AP’ing online. Axel for one always is bragging how he has his way with online casinos, and gets his winnings paid 99% of the time.
Now, when the AP’s drift to other forums especially where there are experienced older people who will challenge their alleged claims, is when they run into trouble. When they sense trouble, they yelp out the warning and they all run back into their holes like prairie-dogs waiting till the danger is gone.
Axel, ignored my post #546, hid in his hole, then came out when he thought the cost was clear. Never responding to that post that in so many words made his previous claims look like full blown bullshit.
Kiwlj, tried to twist the facts, taking selected text from that same post, and when I responded with post 549, he also ran back into his hole.
You guys are professional bullshit spin artists.
I would be very concerned if I weren't paid 100% of my online winnings.
No hole. Right here. If something interests me, I post. If not I don't.
You posted some quotes from Axel, so I commented that they seemed reasonable to me. The rest of your post concerned a meetup or meetup that you wanted to occur with axel. Didn't concern me, so I didn't comment. So what is your issue with that?
You seem pretty angry...why is that? You anti-AP guys seem very angry. I don't get it.
comments on the rest of your post: You asked why AP's don't stay at WoV (where we belong). I was banned, you might remember.
I don't think WoV is the holy grail of gambling. Far from it. I think there is some useful information on the WoO, part of the site. The message board, I don't think all that much of. It's over-moderated and from my perspective, run poorly.
Michael Shackleford: I have stated previously that I don't consider him a professional AP. He never lived off of any AP earnings that I am aware of. I also have stated that in my opinion he is no friend to AP's, frequently killing AP plays. And he seems to enjoy doing so. Shackleford started and ran a website, and sold it for a handsome payday. Good for him. That makes him a business man not an AP. I happen to think he got really, really lucking in that an online casino company with more money than they know what to do with, severely overpaid for his site. But again...good for him. On a personal note....I think he is a very small man. Dishonest and zero integrity.
Really?!
I've only noticed the WOV mods banning or suspending someone for violating forum rules, not for posting material which goes against the grain.
Oh, to clarify: I suppose they might ban someone spewing anti-AP screeds if they felt he were trolling, as trolling is a violaton of forum rules; you know, like what happened to you (nuclear option).
That would make his mother in her late 70's, at least. That age would suggest she might need the help. So maybe kudos to him for being a caregiver.
I would re-think the "living with his mom" as some kind of knock on this particular person, whether he's an AP or not, unless his mom is Cher.
Yeah, but what about the opinion of his peers?
His was a wild ride at the infamous blackjack ball.
He penned: "I won the Grosjean Cup in the past and then got kicked out."
Obviously the host thought he had his blackjack credentials in order; whether he could be labeled "professional AP" is another matter.
AP at one time, seemingly.
I'm not anti AP and I'm not angry. It's just that "APs" keep telling us how wonderful they are and I wonder why they spend so much time on forums and not at one of Trump's golf clubs? LOL
I remember when I met my AP-friend. He spent two hours telling me about his wonderful advantage plays... then I found out he's living with his mom. And when he actually did play it was 25-cent VP.
Of course there is nothing wrong with 25-cent VP but there's a limit how much your advantage plays are worth at a 25-cent game.
redietz nothing wrong with living with mom if youre an AP. But play at higher levels than 25-cents so you can give mom better care.
Yes, he is an AP. I specifically said "professional" AP. Being an AP is mostly about math and knowledge. Shackleford is very smart mathematically. He figures things out and will throw some money on +EV situation. That makes him an AP. It's easy to be an AP when you have other income or a wife very gainfully employed and don't need your AP money to live.
A professional AP takes another level. It takes discipline and a mental strength to hang in there during the severely bad runs, when your only income is in the red for months at a time. The very mental struggles that zenking is publicly going through is the difference between a true professional AP and someone who want's to be one.
Who are Shackleford's peers?
Other math guys? I am sure he is well thought of among the math geek club. He is very talented mathematically.
Other AP/gambling website owners? Well I know of one Qfit (Norm Wattenberger), who refused to post at WoV for more than 5 years, publicly saying he didn't trust Shackleford. Yeah, he changed his tune, when he needed a favor, but that earlier action and comment should tell his "real" opinion.
edit: but enough about Shackleford. I am not here to re-live my Shackleford drama. I am just saying not all AP's worship Shackford or his site, as Blackhole would have you believe.
Sometimes being smart about the math makes you overlook the common sense of a situation.
It's a very small club. There are maybe five successful Infomercial companies. The three biggest are in Southern California. I'm #3 and I try the hardest.
Guthy Renker is #1
Script to Screen is #2
Then comes me.
There were SEVEN other companies that tried to copy my Best Buys Show concept and they all went out of business. I've been doing it for eleven years.
Yep, putting AP's in their place and challenging them is clearly trolling according to the WOV and ass kissers like yourself. Funny how you always seem to make sudden appearances when your AP friends are catching hell. Your comments are almost as strange as redietz's twilight zone comments. Although, you fit more in the full blown jackass bracket.
Take a fn walk you jackass.
At least I know how to play well enough with others not to get thrown off the playground by one of the monitors.
But enough about me.
Frank was never an addict. Calling anyone a gambling addict is a Singerism when he wants to feel superior. Ignore the comment or next he'll mention my ex wives.
When I was in negotiations to be on GWAE, specifically the date I would be on, I made a comment to Bob that on a certain day I would be flying into Reno to meet a friend and we would be heading out to a video keno play that carried a 7% edge and was worth $140 an hour. A couple of days later Bob asked me if Frank could get a seat on the play. I told him that 1) The play wasn't in Nevada 2) there were only two machines. I don't know if Frank would have been playing on his own money or not but they were sure interested in the play.
This post is another perfect example to confirm how much shit your full of. The rest of the post showed how ridiculous and meaningless those quotes were by Axel. Please explain what seemed reasonable about Axel's comments to you after reading the whole post? Or, did you stop reading suddenly after Axel's bullshit quotes?
Also, your comments about Mike S. and your negative opinion about the WOV don't hold any water at all. Those comments expose once again how much of a bullshit artist you actually are. For the longest time you made a complete fool of yourself on the forum GF, begging for Mike S. to let you back, and trying to coax others at WOV to speak on your behalf. Your repetition and whining over, and over again became so annoying at GF, that all the other members even the ones who at first sided with you were begging you to take your skirt off and try to just once behave like a man, take your lumps, move on, and shut the f up. It became obvious what role you play in your relationship with your live in partner.
It's amazing how none of you could realize how foolish and unbelievable you actual appear, and just keep posting trying to justify your stupidity. It's getting to the point where I'm starting to think we should back off, simply because your so obviously f'd up, you could become suicidal over this nonsense. Nobody here would want to read about that happening.
Blackdumasshole is a no good piece of shit. He adds nothing of value here. Just another ignorant stupid troll like his daddy, larrys.
I didn't know there was really a question there, I thought you were being rhetorical. Do you really expect me to comment on someone's personal financial status and where they are when I don't even know them?
You didnt answer any of my questions from post #426, yet you want to claim I'm the one who hids in his blackhole?
Let's be honest here, I have gone above and beyond what most people would/should have with you. I have been mostly polite and all with you, while you consistently have been very unpolite to me from the day you arrived on the gambling forums. You cant expect me to keep up with and respond to evrything you say.
Notes to Mr. Hole:
1) When you write "fake fallacy" and "alleged claims," these are, at best, redundant. Taken literally, the word "fake" cancels out "fallacy," and "alleged" cancels out the word "claims." I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I don't think this is what you were aiming for.
2) I'm a lover of hyphen-use myself, but "un-proven," "un-regulated," and "prairie-dogs" demonstrate a real devotion.
3) Thanks for your use of expletives. Rob was confused. I told him that you were fluent.
Editor Bob
Redietz, I am baffled as to why all these guys...the anti-AP, AP-deniers are all filled with such HATE.
These guys are well within their right to not believe anyone and everyone on an anonymous message board site. They have the right to live in their own alternative world, believing what they like, denying facts and reality. But why does each and every one of these guys, ranging from the guy that dominated GF's, to Singer here, to Blackhole (whom I have been respectful to), have to sink to the lowest level of humanity with their vile personal attacks and comments? That kind of childish behavior and hatred just disempowers any argument that they might actually have and shows them in the light of the small, bitter people that they are. I actually give Mendelson credit. He managed to express his anti-APism and denial of reality, without sinking to that level.
For the record, I don't have a "live in partner". I am married. The state of Nevada and The United States of America afford me that right, just the same as these homophobic haters. Not that my marriage, relationship or "what role I play" has any bearing on anything being discussed. That is just haters and low life trolls...hating and sinking to the lowest levels possible. Thanks again Axel for bring up my personal situation first chance you got to provide ammunition for these trolls. With Friends like you....
Advantage play on machines is not that well known compared to blackjack. Blackjack has been well documented in the media as an exploitable game if one is allowed to play like they want to. Blackjack AP's being banned from and even mistreated by casinos simply because they hold an edge against them is well known. So there really is no question about whether one can AP blackjack. Machine advantage play, on the other hand, is not that well known about.
I had thought that blackhole's skepticism was about machine advantage player's. But here recently we can clearly see he is consistently attacking a blackjack AP. What is that all about? It's accepted knowledge that blackjack can be beaten. I think the answer is blackhole is just another gambling forum troll of the larrys variety. He is not here to learn or convey any knowledge. He is just here to troll. His objective is to turn this forum into a cesspool.
Many factors serve to motivate people to "hate" other people, ideas, or things.
It is pointless to ask why, at least in the context of this forum; it should be enough to know that it is not currently a crime to do so, and some protection is afforded to the hater under the first amendment to the US Constitution.
"Blackhole" is cut from the same bolt of cloth as the neo-Nazi fascists who were involved in the demonstration in Charlottesville, Virginia recently.
I believe your best best is to simply ignore the haters, or in the alternative respond to every "hate" they post with a trite, dismissive stock phrase such as "So says the knuckle-dragging retard," or "How'd that lobotomy work out for you?"
By his own report, "blackhole" is an old duffer; he won't change as "hate" makes him feel alive.
Really, who cares what he thinks or says?
I knew you were married, KJ. I suspect blackhole is also well aware of that, but couldn't bring himself to type it. It's as you say -- he just does not have much discipline or control of his anger. He must make a helluva recreational gambler. Even a free speech advocate such as myself thinks that his language and tone probably deserves a ban. If he bothers to respond to my question regarding your role, well, we'll see. This isn't an alt right site, far as I know, so he'd be overstepping. That's why I asked, to be honest, because if he answers that question, he probably should be banned.
I am surprised he claims to be as old as me or older. His language is that of some spoiled youngster. Who knows? I'm still shocked that he seems to think Axel should have wanted to meet him! Why? Is Axel hurting that much for a free meal? That kind of reasoning is straight out of the Twilight Zone (one of my fave shows, for sure).
Now me -- I'd meet him for dinner, but only if I get to tape the thing. As I said, I have the rights to www.The SkepticalGambler.com, and blackhole's arguments and anger would make interesting topics. Of course, then he wouldn't be anonymous, which would put us on equal footing.
Until then, I'll just continue to edit his posts. It'll help readers understand him more clearly, so I'll be doing him a favor. Maybe, just maybe, it'll slow down his typing so he can reign in the hate a tad while editing himself. That would save me some work.
Edit posts or alter them? Step down from your pedestal.
Alter posts? How does one do that?
Anything I commented on was a direct quote, like "fake fallacies" and "alleged claims." Any editor would have tossed those as confusing at best and oxymorons at worst.
And Alan, every socioeconomic dig you take at people is from a pedestal.
I don't do socioeconomic digs. I'm not a racist.
My understanding is that people don't choose to be gay, it's just the way they are.
There have always been gays throughout the world; what good has come from stifling, executing, and punishing them?
Think of the advances in clothing design, architecture and interior decorating which have been lost to the world.
Best to let people be who and what they are; not all square pegs fit into a round hole (groan).
I have no issue with what people CHOOSE to do or be. (yes, it is a choice). They're the ones who must live with their odd choices and suffer the consequences because if it.
The problem is with their newly found empowerment as delivered by our recently retired most idiotic & racist president in our nation's history. There gay people are now treated with the same kid gloves as Muslim's are in this country. There's comparatively VERY few of them, and those who push the envelope by wanting to be "married" when it makes absolutely no physical, psychological, or biological sense, are simply sick and extremely confused. Yes they push their sickening agenda, but normal people who aren't afraid of political correctness also have the right to tell the truth about these weirdos.
As usual, Rob's a little shy about numbers. Most estimates place the percentage of self-identifying LGBT in the United States at roughly four, with younger demographics self-identifying at a much higher rate, approaching eight percent. Now "self-identifying" is not the same as "behaving." That is a key part of the context. So the percent of people who occasionally (or more) behave gay is undoubtedly much higher.
I do not know what the country-by-country percentages are, but I caution against using some two-minute google search to try to figure that out. I would recommend, if you really want to know, to head to a university library and check for recent surveys in the periodicals section for the most updated information. Sociology and demography journals would be the first choices.
As usual Singer is completely wrong. The guys just makes up facts to suit himself.
Latest polls indicate Americans support gay marriage by a 2-1 margin.
http://www.gallup.com/poll/117328/Marriage.aspx
http://www.pewforum.org/fact-sheet/c...-gay-marriage/
The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that same sex marriage is available under the equal protection rights of the Constitution. Personally I wish they came up with something with the same rights and privileges but didn't call it "marriage." But besides my objection to the use of the word "marriage" I think same sex couples should have the equal protection other couples have under the law.
What, do you think that one day KD Lang woke up and said, "Hmmm, today is the day I have to choose. Gay or straight?"
Gays no more choose to homosexual than you or I choose to be heterosexual.
In Rome and Greece at the height of their glory being gay was common, and not condemned.
From those roots sprang western civilization; now if we could only keep religion out of it we might finally get somewhere.
I don't want to go off on a political side track (gay marriage). It isn't my intent to suggest how anyone should feel about that kind of thing. I just don't see what it has to do with a gambling discussion. It seems bizarre to me when during a gambling discussion, someone throws out a personal attack or nasty comment based on someone sexuality or any other non-related thing, like someone's position on abortion or gun control. What does that kind of attack even have to do with the topic? That is just nasty people, getting nasty and looking for a reason to inject "hate".
KJ, get with the program, man. Rob never posts numbers. Neither does blackhole, come to think of it. It's all about opining. Didn't anybody give you a copy of the script??
No, I didn't get a copy of the script.
I don't know, I guess I am wondering what I am doing here? Wondering what some of the other AP's are doing here as well?
For me personally, there is like 1 or 2 other BJ players, so there isn't going to be much BJ talk. Hell there is more 'haters' than BJ players. I don't see many new members signing up, so that is not likely to change much. As a matter of fact 713 members, but only 53 active members. What exactly constitutes and "active" member?
So, this is the jist of the site. There is like 10 or 12 members that participate at all. Among them, 4 anti-AP 'haters' that attack everything an AP says....right down to any personal stuff they may know or find out. It's not enough that they attack on substance, they will attack every thing they know about a poster. I don't know, I am really wondering how this is enjoyable for anyone other than the 4 anti-AP trolls? Should we really be feeding them?
Probably not.
With arci gone, I have felt a certain responsibility to speak up on occasion when some truly hideous gambling advice was passed off as expertise. I'm not a math guy (although I played for the Penn State grad/faculty intramural basketball team), so my value doing this is limited. When I need a math answer, I consult people with doctorates who teach college math courses. You guys are better than me at doing the math and explaining what is or is not a good value bet.
Having spent 90-100 days a year in Las Vegas for decades, however, I do like helping out people who are visiting for the first few times in terms of where to eat or what to do. It does get old, getting taken to task for being working class because I know what buffets are better than others, but that's okay.
Should we feed the trolls? Probably not. It's gotten to the point where the people who are active on this site know who knows what or doesn't know squat. Engaging the trolls serves no real purpose.
I was going to let this one slide, as maybe Alan was just having a bad day, but a "socioeconomic dig" doesn't really have to do with racism. I don't know what his comment meant. A socioeconomic dig has to do with socioeconomics -- how much wealth or income someone has and how that has been shaped by local or regional culture. Socioeconomics isn't referencing race; it's referencing social processes affecting money or material wealth.
So when Alan talks about an AP being in his 50's and living with mom and playing 25-cent video poker, and the connotation is negative, that is a "socioeconomic dig." Alan's taking a shot at the guy's wealth and/or his priorities/values. When Alan talks about people having different definitions of "making a living," with the inference that his making a living is different from yours, that is a socioeconomic dig. Not only do you not make his living; it's assumed you should want to make his living, so that speaks to values and priorities. It has nothing directly to do with race.
I grew up in Molly Maguire country. Mickey, if you don't know what that is, check it out. My county, and its mineral rights, was owned by two families. It pretty much still is, although now they have partnerships with Bechtel and such. Back 150 years, the coal companies owned the housing and food stores for all of the workers. Now they own the 7/11s. Anyway, that's partly why the hair goes up on the back of my neck when people make socioeconomic digs. There's a famous movie with Sean Connery, The Molly Maguires. Worth watching.
Anyway, the point is, socioeconomics is about wealth/income and social processes, not race per se. Racism can be a part of it, but that's not the gist.
I will give a dig to anyone who claims to be an AP and the best they can do is eek out a low level income playing 25-cent video poker. In fact I asked him repeatedly why he isn't playing $1 video poker which has better pay tables and he's never answered me. That says a lot about AP play, doesn't it?
Secondly I don't take Rob to be serious about anything he says here. I've told you this before. Why you guys fall for his stuff makes me wonder and laugh.
These guys come here for a certain reason Alan, and it certainly ain't to tell any truths about their AP gambling habits. And aside from mickey continuously pulling info from old posts on vpfree and then making believe he lived all those casino promos he blabs about (Tuscany, Four Queens, Laughlin, etc. etc.) it's like picking off dumb fish in a bowl. They just never learn....but I take credit for that too :)
In the case of the Tuscany they just didn't pull any casino business when they opened. So they came up with the 100 coin bonus for the 4 to the royal promo. All it attracted was pros. They had a bunch of 25/50/1 10/7 Double Bonus. On dollars it was a $100 an hour play. After taking a beating on dollars management disqualified them from the promotion. That left the 25/50 denoms. But that didn't last long either. They threw a sign up at the slot club desk that said "WE GIVE UP."
It's these kinds of promotions that Singer just does not get. His idea would be that the promotion is no good because "you have to hope to miss the royal." LOLOLOL!
Because Rob is my friend, yes, I would laugh it off if he substituted "Jew."
Give it a rest, redietz. Give it a rest.
I don't think Rob is a racist or a homophobe. I think he's pulling your chain.
Of all the people on this forum, who have I met and talked to? I haven't met any of you who call Rob a racist. I have met Rob. I'm sorry that my opinion is different from yours.
Why don't all of you just ignore him? (Because you can't.)
I have zero tolerance for white trash also. racist! I mean....what purpose on this earth does a slob like mickey serve? Will he be missed, or will there be ANY memory of such an irrelevant soul once he drinks or smokes himself to death?
One thing's for sure--there will no longer be the plagiarism from vpfree that we constantly see, as he pretends to have been involved in every gambling event (and now solar eclipse events) that's ever been.
He's a home! :)
Friendship Post #2
I have zero tolerance for white trash Jews also. [sp] racist!
Rob the Stringer has more routes than Greyhound Buslines. No one ever wrote in the forums about the Tuscany play before I did. Axel is the only one who showed knowledge of the Tuscany play and he posted about it after I did. Rob why don't you prove your assertions like you ask everyone else to do? Post up some quotes from others about the Tuscany play where their timestamps are before mine. But we both know you can't do it. Just another prevarication from a complusive liar and bet welsher.
I have zero tolerance for that white trash Rob Singer AKA Robert Harry Ass Argentino. I mean....what purpose on this earth does a slob like Rob serve? Will he be missed, or will there be ANY memory of such an irrelevant soul once the coward dies his lonely death?
He's "pulled everyone's chain" enough that he is totally isolated and loathed by the professional gambling community. Then he runs his mouth about others dying alone. I'm a genealogist. I know how to find graves. If Rob chooses to be buried instead of cremated I will find his grave and PISS ON IT!
It was at Gambling Forums just a few months ago where I challenged exoter to tell me what the add-on percentage is when you are getting a 100 coin bonus on non-paying 4-card royals at 9/6 Jacks. Of course, he couldn't do it. It was the first mention ever in the gambling forums about this kind of promotion. I think you made a comment or two on it. My purpose was to expose exoter for what he really is, a low level machine AP, not the best as he claims.
Sorry to interrupt the discussion but...
Did @Fabismonte and his wife ever go back to play the rebate free play?
I am also curious how one figures out the add on percentage for 100 coin bonuses on 4 card non paying royals.
AP's figure out how often four-to-the-royal mathematically are supposed to occur, they eliminate the ones that pay something for a high pair, flush, straight, and SF, then they add in the 100 coin bonus for the non-payers....and like magic, they suddenly have a handful of those ap phantom bucks that are handed out to them like candy at every promotion around town. But watch out!---Vons & Ralphs stopped taking them years ago.
