This's easy. Let's say that it's one hand of poker, at some point in a pot, and one of the players shall (certainly) win at least half of pot. That player has a freeroll for the whole pot because he can do no worse than half of the pot. But, that same player (likely) will be up against another who has the same freeroll in another hand. It evens out, the same way that even your erroneous freeroll bet to Singer about the pictures will even out when Singer makes another error of his own. In general, say, over many poker hands, there are no freerolls, because each must pay his dues for success to become proficient at one thing. Some study problems of problems, but others, just the problems. Say, pharmacy, which is fine, as long as you don't try to be an expert at everything else, and look foolish when the other person really does know of what he speaks.
