Which Slots give you the best "BangForYourBuck"?

I absolutely love slots and I don't really dabble in much else whenever I get a chance to gamble. I wouldn't say I'm addicted since I don't play often but I can easily spend 6+ hours pulling that rod and hoping to get lucky whenever I get a chance. I don't really play to make money because I'm old and experienced enough to know the house always wins, but I just love the thrill of pulling and seeing the drum spin and waiting with baited breath to see if I'm a winner. The sounds and visuals are a bonus too because they're normally super well done (probably on purpose to get you hooked, and yes, it works on me because watching the spin is almost as entertaining as winning). So for me, I'm happy to pay the so called "house edge" for the pure joy and entertainment I get from playing slots and for being in the casino atmosphere which is just lovely and sublime.
Winning more often is an important factor because that's obviously the most exhilirating part.
So which machine should I play on (and where can I find it in Las Vegas) such that my money will go the furthest (allow longer playing time for same amount of money) AND I will win more often (even though I'll probably still lose money overall in the end)?

I understand, but disagree with your point. The reason that I disagree is that someone who went El Busto who comes up to me begging for money in a casino is only being a pain in my ass and is not bringing me anything of value, entertainment or otherwise.

In the case of the Youtube videos, he's delivering a sought after product, which is videos of someone playing slot machines. With that, he has brought the person a thing of entertainment value. I think that makes it a little different. I think that it might be a good thing for casual players who do not live in areas with readily accessible slot machines because they might get some idea of what machine looks fun when they do take a trip to the casino.

Where' the beef?

MC, I have a dumb question. I'm not a slot guy. But I get free play for slots etc,etc. There is a deal where I win between $5 and $50 by swiping my card after earning 1 Tier point. There are 9 circles. 3 of the circles are $5 and 1 is to win $50. The others are somewhere inbetween. I touch one and it reveals how much free play I've won. Not once have I ever won more than $5 out of I'd say at least 50 tries. Either this is rigged or I'm the worst circle picker on earth. Any suggestions?

It's not random and I think by gaming law it doesn't have to be. It's considered a gift. There is at least one thread on WoV about these non-random kiosks.

My machine play works like this. Again, I have a rotation of casinos that I play, many not in my blackjack rotation. Most were given to me by other players, as casinos that have decent mailers. So I hit one store with a big predetermined playthrough. And within a couple months I get a mailer than has....let's say $200 free play, each week. So I play the free play and a similar amount of play through, but the following month, or sometimes the second following month, the free play amount drops, to let's say $150 a week. Next month drops to $100 a week. Then $50. Then $25. At this point I stop playing that casino for 2 months and then hit another big predetermined playthrough and start the cycle all over again.

So many of these local type casinos like stations or boyd, have some sort of kiosk game, especially on weekends with a guaranteed amount of freeplay just like you describes. Might be $5 or $10, up to $50 or$100. So the thing I have noticed is that I can tell before my spin at the kiosk, just what kind of amount I will get, depending on where I am in my cycle for that casinos. When I am at the upper end, pulling in $200 free play a week, I get one of the higher prizes (not the top prize) and when I am at the lower end of the cycle, @ $25 or $50 free play a week, I almost always get the minimum. :rolleyes: So yeah....definitely NOT random.

Some of us do actually talk about Gambling in Las Vegas on the Las Vegas Forum and keep it friendly to all parties interested.
I put up two or three threads that follow that directive.
I also try to showcase how a player can choose to cheat or play it straight.
The problem is that these guys want to Troll... so Troll on I say.
Even after all the Trolling I still try to keep it Gambling Related and post up a Road Map of Current Progressives in Las Vegas.

I was just stating that some of us actually talk about gambling and give away free information to actually help a player get started.
I have too much experience and know that nobody is going to listen or use the information.
That has been proven over time and time again in Real Life and on the Forums.

Yeah well, my wife is one of these people who wake up every day smiling with the blue birds singing around her and you can hear the music in the background. A low level player will get a scratch off ticket for 2,000 points but a high level player will get $25 dining or 15,000 points or $15 free play.

The current daily kiosk game (free to play) has a $30,000 top prize. So far I've won $15 free play twice.

I see what you did here and you're good. :) You have a very good point that the higher your play is, the better your Kiosk Game offers will be. For example Robert is a Whale who is Diamond who plays 1 million dollars every week gets a prize of a week suite for two adults at The Penthouse at the Bellagio Hotel, a comped meal for 5 people comped at $5,000(There are plenty of $1,000 Meals in Vegas especially since a lot of people are high rollers, although most people gawk at $1,000 a meal per person, ;), a free play of a million, a prepaid Limo to take him wherever he wants to go.

Patrick who is a Gold AP plays $1,000 every week would get considerably lesser prizes than Robert at the Kiosk Game although still good. Patrick gets $1,000 in free play, a comped meal for 2 at $100 each, a hotel room for just himself(Note he gets a ROOM for just him whereas Robert gets a PENTHOUSE SUITE for an entire week for two adults(The Penthouse Suite is like 5 times better than just a hotel room, ;)) at the Bellagio for just 3 nights, and a prepaid UBER to take him wherever he wants :) Patrick's prizes are really good, but nowhere as great as Robert's prizes

Elliot Gould is on top of his game in that movie.
Jeff Goldblum is so young in that movie but just as whacko.
The movie is very realistic to me.
I think that is a credit to Robert Altman though.
Dealing your own game in poker rooms used to be a thing.
Those days are gone like the days of people playing pan (Panguingue).
Jackie Gaughan loved to play that game, on the regular, at the Plaza.

Interesting Note is that I played a bunch of Mexican Poker in California for a few years.
This was before the Texas Hold'em No Limit Boom after Moneymaker... you know... when playing poker was more of a niche or cool/underground thing.
Late 90's and Early 2000's.
I never played its cousin, Asian Poker though... I think that deck was 32 cards instead of 41.
I also played a bunch of lowball as well up to the 60-120 limit.
The action in the 20-40 Limit Hold'em games were insane!
All of this fun at the Bike of course.
I wasn't much of a Commerce Player.
The first time I realized you could eat at the table and get a massage I was awestruck lol.
Fun Times.

Yes it was cool seeing The Fly when he was even younger (six years) than his Ten Speed and Brown Shoe days - you could see that the guy had what it takes even then (and even though it was a very small role). Speaking of whom, I would like to take this opportunity to recommend Deep Cover to you, if you haven't seen it already.

Like you wrote - very realistic. Loved the mid 70's Reno stuff near the end especially. Elliott Gould would later go on to do the Ocean's 11 and up as you know - I guess he likes roles in movies that have gambling in them.

You probably already seen it.
Purists hate it but I think it is really good.
I don't even care about the storyline so much.
I just find it very entertaining because it is basically a whole movie of Elliott Gould being Elliott Gould.
Ironically, it is another Robert Altman Movie.
Hard to go wrong with his movies.

Elliott Gould was also in Bugsy as Harry Greenberg. Which seems to be a movie people either love or hate. I believe it has gotten overshadowed by Casino over the years and isn’t replayed daily on some network like Goodfellas and Casino are.

I personally liked the movie and found the history, even with poetic license very interesting.

I've seen the movie 20 times or so.
