Frank became a ploppy himself!
Edit: I take that back. He's ALWAYS been one!! Even Grosjean in Exhibit CAA advises NEVER purchasing any of his products.
I don't know about retiring from DI. I'm on his mailing list and I still get stories about The Captain. One arrived last week.
Frank hasnt posted here in quite a while.
This is Barney,
The LID use to play with Captain at Atlantic City in the 82. Captain told LID about how dangerous "ploppies" can be in casino. He told LID you know what a ploppy is when you see one. Below is last picture of the Captain taken with the LID as well a picture of "ploppy".
One of these personages is a ploppy:

Why is Frank a ploppy? Because he recommends stupid stuff like the Martingale and other worthless betting systems on roulette. AP's would NEVER do this.

I don't know anything about Frank Scoblete's life other than he has been in the selling gambling stuff business like a lot of other failed gamblers. However axel, your comment about guys retiring from making money shows your total and complete inexperience with what kind of life exists outside of being a casino rat.
Ever hear of people who actually worked real jobs for years making all sorts of money, then retired with lucrative pensions, and 401k draws at-will, complete with fully paid health insurance....all for life? I know, it's a concept none of your bunch can comprehend, even though it is the most valuable of advantage plays ever devised.
Scoblete has previously worked as a publisher, editor, actor, teacher and writer.
His yarns about "the captain of craps" are works of fiction, written solely to make a buck, truth be damned.
Scoblete has done more harm than good to recreational gambling due to his inflaming the desperate and the deluded with False Hope.
He's getting old now and preparing to Seven Out for his final roll.
Meh.
Delusions of a Bridge Dweller. Poor Robbie's life story. Tales from the campsite about pensions is getting old. Your envy of and obsession with the imaginary pensioner is borderline pathological.
I'll say it again. While I believe DI is possible I have only seen three and maybe four players who I would consider actually have the skill.
Sure if you can't do it you should realize you can't and play appropriately.
All an irritated max is saying Alan is how annoyed and agitated he keeps getting whenever I bring up the vastly superior "advantage play" people like my wife and I made by working in the very lucrative aerospace and Fed Govt industries. When he compares the relatively puny, unproductive, wasted lives so-called casino rat "AP's" lead along with no future whatsoever other than more of the same embarrassment until they step into their early graves from being around all the filth and germs inside the casinos, OF COURSE an anonymous bum like him is going to try his best to re-arrange the truth within his mind.
Uhhhhh.....WHAAAAT?! Of course there are successful people who aren’t APs or gamblers. That’s gotta he the most retarded question ever. People are successful in all sorts of different ventures. People who gamble sometimes aren’t necessarily fools, liars, cheats, scroundrals, or whatever you think we think of them. Some can be described that way, but that’s usually the degenerates who gamble every day or nearly that much.
Of course there are going to be benefits to working for someone else and getting insurance, 401k, pensions, and security of income. That doesn’t mean working a job is necessarily better than APing. At the same time, it doesn’t mean APing is better than having a job. Different people in different situations.
Max again proves how under-educated he is Are you sure you're not mickey, who's probably in jail again right now? What Alan was saying is that it is overwhelmingly unlikely that there are many successful AP's walking around, while it is highly likely that there are a vast number of working class people that have been very successful throughout life.
If you are comparing the two side by side, then there are definitely going to be many more successful working class people than successful APs. I mean, the same can be said for just about anything, really. There are far more successful working class people than there are successful NFL players. Far more successful working people than there are successful SCUBA instructors, or successful hedge fund managers, or successful <fill in the blank>.
The obvious difference in all this is very very simple to deduce: people with jobs are proven money-makers, while people who claim to make money gambling as AP's are largely seen as being as honest as the nearest fisherman. Become vested at many of the more lucrative places of employment and if you're savvy and responsible, you'll be set for life--in funds and benefits. Many however, toss a lot of it away by finding themselves in divorce court. There is a HUGE gap between equal-earning employees who go through a divorce and those who do not.
"It's not about the money" is a phrase I've heard all to often. My saying? "It's almost always about the money."
Divorce court may well be the biggest casino in existance.
Amen. Now you're preachin to the choir.

And I say this as someone who is celebrating our 40th anniversary on Sunday--something the critics here have only been able to respond with "she's ugly" as a 65-yr. old, simply because they have no answers as to how well I've done in my video poker career by playing opposite their "phantom bucks theory" method. And BTW, it hurts them even further to know that we both have had successful working careers prior to my becoming the most knowledgeable and successful/profitable VP expert in professional playing history.
And also BTW kew....I believe there is a place in this world for a confused soul like yourself---only it's a DARK place.
Congrat's Rob on 40 years. That's quite an accomplishment. 25 for me before the curtain dropped. Expensive? Naw, marriage is expensive. You get out what you put in should be the way. If not, divorce shouldn't be the answer but it's the only option and it takes your soul. Btw, what does a soul go for these days? Back then, it was 1/2 without regard to what was invested, inherited, and preowned.
Yep, I know of those DARK places. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
How the heck do you think Trump got so rich?
But, it is mostly strange for such a so-called professional gambling crowd to hang around gambling sites because they need someone, anyone, to put down.
Even this realization should be well within the grasps of someone who, perhaps, applies years 1 & 2 (dry) university statistics to a slot machine. Good thing that Crimm finds exactly the same dumb "advantage" over and over, that kids easily tire of, and grow out of in search of greater mysteries and acknowledgment.
Say, in the land of the shit-pile, everyone is king. (Sorry, I guess that I, like Blackhole, still can't resist responding to the idiocy any type of gambler puts up on the internet.)
Coach, I see the same traits in the sportsbook crowd of regulars. Only it's verbal instead of written. Quite often not said to someone face to face. Some guys get really fired up over politics. They start hollering and then get 86ed. It's the dangest thing I've ever seen.
Always hated the term and the way that it is used with such derision without knowing anything about the person. If a guy is not a pro, but is a successful businessman, who likes to play video poker FOR FUN. And if the guy plays 100% perfect strategy (which no-one does), but is playing a 96.5% game, he is often referred to as a ploppy. That couldn't be further from the truth. He is just not a pro. And on the days that the pro plays a 101.5% game and still loses, is he a ploppy that day?
We have similar terms for the race track. I choose to be more civil and not call them names and quietly appreciate their contributions to my bottom line.
Ploppies are the loud mouth know-it-alls who think they know what they're talking about but really don't. They are the blackjack players that hassle you when you follow basic strategy and hit A,7 vs 10 but they themselves don't. They're the ones that chastise 3rd base when that persons play causes them to lose.
And Frank S is a major ploppy himself. He's not an AP. Hes a GAMBLING WRITER pretending to be an AP.
I kind of thought the term was more to describe someone plopped down in a seat at a machine or table seat you want.
Here's the link from Urban dictionary...

Feeble. Just fucking feeble. So you are still trying to determine? Looks like I own YOUR mind. How do you like being harassed, bitch. Hey, you deserve it so quit sniveling, maxiepad. You did it to yourself. You are a harrasser....but I'm a master harasser. Get used to it. Every post you make, bitch, gets harassed.
Now go wash your pussy. It's stinkin' up the place.
[QUOTE=MaxPen;142638]I get it. I hurt your little feelings.
I welcome you into my life as my own little hobo troll doll. I'm not gonna feed you though. :)
Why are you so butthurt? You started it. You got what you wanted. A troll war. Now get out there and stepandfetchit, poser pro.
maxie can't beat the flies off his ass much less anything else. The only thing that's lathered up is maxie's asshole. He loves it up the ass.
I take no pleasure in beating down maxie the mental midget. But I must teach the serial harasser a lesson. To bad he's to stupid to learn it.
This is approaching the Singer vs Crimm comedy level !
Not at all. Our battles began over my VP strategy and my put-downs of AP's. When it moved into the personal attack phase, it became fun as mickey frequently posted while drinking and we both hammered away.
This thing with max is wholly about max's disdain for everything about ME, which peaked when I announced that he pm'd me practically begging to let him be the 1st to know if I were to find any more of the DU machines that were never updated, when most here didn't want to believe I ever came across the glitch in the first place simply because it was the great & hated Rob Singer. Once mickey presented his unbiased belief about my having played the DU bug successfully for 5-1/2 years it did not sit right with many, but max took it as a personal affront that in his anti-Singer world, must be punished.
It is as stupid a scenario as there is for online forum behavior but just as mickey says, it wouldn't be this way if max didn't start it--and from the looks of things he's finally realizing that he started it with the wrong person. They both say they are AP's, of which we've seen mickey post countless information and pictures as he rambles & gambles around the country, while all we've ever seen from max is how "people looking for answers come to him" along with a remodeling of a bathroom he couldn't afford to assign to a contractor to--and an embarrassing little toilet seat. Wouldn't you be more than a bit perturbed with those credentials up against someone who has enuf material in this forum alone to write a book?
There's a lot of talk around here about who owns whom and who's inside of heads. This scenario actually proves that if it weren't for kew's nearly empty head to begin with, max's head would lead the way in volume of occupation by a single individual. And that individual would be me :)
Here you are lying again. I asked you to post up that PM before. Because it certainly wasn't from me. I actually posted the only thing I ever sent you the last time you tried to go down that road. Anyhow, I already dealt with you and undeniably exposed you for what you are. Your tombstone is already engraved with the Grandpa Newell moniker from which you will always be remembered.
He certainly is, and it's blatantly obvious by how he pulled a kew and nervously tried to spin his way out of it with another lie. Like anyone would ever believe max posting one of his life's embarrassments without changing a thing....:)
What else could one expect from a guy who plays for a team using someone else's money? Ask Frank Kneeland about him---only he doesn't know him by the silly "maxpen" ID.
I offer you the same as the hobo. $10k reward to identify this team I am supposedly a part of.
I have never been on a team ever outside of maybe sharing action on an individual play. Anyone that knows me knows that to be the case.
There are enough people that know me and who I am that participate or have participated on these forums for this to be easily winnable if even remotely true.
"Anybody who knows me knows that to be the case".
Do you realize how very stupid a statement that is when you, as an anonymous character, try to convince others of your activities?...oh Mr. "I'll outwit you".
Let's start here: who "knows" you? And if it's somebody we actually know who's real, do they spend 24/7 with you?
All we "know" about you is you claim to have remodeled your bathroom, you're a gun enthusiast, you put up a post of yours or someone else's passport with an "I've been to Italy!" stamp in it, you can't stand me presumably because I've been far more successful than you no matter how long we'll live, you hate mickey because he knows how to use his own head to reason out things for himself, and you have absolutely no idea in the world how and why someone like me operates on the level that I choose for others to see me at.
So your statement has zero value here. And neither does the $10,000 you claim to have available to give away. Zenking moves around with more validity.
I guarantee more people that read these forums have met and know me than know you. Nothing I have ever said can be debunked. Pretty much every one of your claims has been debunked. Admittedly I haven't said much but that's how I am. But I am very outgoing and open in person. Yet still reserved.
