Side question: How did you get “in” to do the GWAE show? Did bob or Richard seek you out? Did you ask? Something else? Is there any rehearsal type thing or is it all on the fly? Seems like there’s gotta be a game-plan going into it where you each have an idea of the subjects you’re going to be going over and discussing during the show.

But that is not the play because it doesn't pay enough. You look for "bubbles" that have "mini," minor," "major" or "bonus" written on them. They have much bigger payoffs when they hit. They were speed betting at around $20/spin (it was a blur -didn't want to get too close). I returned the next day (the $9750 had hit while I was still there the night before) and they were both near the reset of $9000 (I have very little idea if they turned a profit, but the $9750 may have been profitable because it hit when I floated by a couple hours later that night). I can't imagine the bank roll these guys have (as you said on the podcast it must be some six-figure shit for the team - maybe mid or high six-figure). It's really risky shit IMHO - the Filipino crew who always took shit too low are disassembled now. I see a few of the members scattered about still here and there but I'm pretty sure the main guy busted out because I saw him looking totally frazzled one night and then never saw him again. This was a guy who was there every fucking day for 12 hours a day for the 7 months I've been working this place - LOL. The remnants of the crew focus on the one and done stuff now as far as can tell - (the Filipino crew is not to be confused with this Ainsworth two-man white guy crew). I find it interesting how Mickeys fans and friends here give praise for what they think was a gifted opportunity to earn the privilege to be interviewed by these two men who sound like two fucking weirdos. What is the main purpose for this show?
No doubt, Mickey after finding AP gambling was able to pull himself out of the gutter and take care of himself. That should have been the main topic of the conversation about how that all evolved from where he started into today.
After listening to him talk and hearing his passion for it, I want to admit I made a bad judgement call on his character and his resolve. Good for you Mickey and I hope it works out for you the whole ride.
Just to compare the differences in priorities, for me at this stage of my life, I consider it a gift to spend almost all my waking hours sharing it with my wife, kids, grandkids, sisters, brother, and all their children, relatives, friends, vacations, boating, etc., which made me unable to view gambling anymore then entertainment which it’s always been my whole life.
My life has been blessed in many ways and I wonder how I would have turned out having to live through the same conditions Mickey did.
Mickeys story is an interesting one, but not worthy of a Nobel Peace Prize like Reditz is treating the interview as.

Interesting take on my comments, blackhole, given that I'm just now listening to the interview at this moment. What's most impressive is the fact that being granted the interview means that he's vetted by people who know most aspects of gambling or who have access to experts for those elements with which they are unfamiliar. Mickey passes the vetting tests, and that's something. If mickey says something that is incorrect, he'll immediately or eventually be called on it, and he won't be invited back.
The fact is, mickey is doing something only a handful of people could pull off. Now if you're going to say that very few people would aspire to mickey's life, that's fine. It still doesn't change the fact that 99.99% of the population could not pull it off if they wanted.
Early in the interview I said that weather was not a factor in Montana. For extreme cold weather and a reasonable amount of snow it's not. I do mountain passes in whiteouts no problem. But after the interview I remembered an incident that did throw a cog in my wheel. It was in Kalispell in December one winter. The weather had been great so far that winter. Not one snowflake on the ground. I went to bed one night not knowing the weather report. The next morning I got up, cleaned up, and was ready to hit the casinos. I opened the door and everything was covered in two feet of snow. That DID put a stopper in my butt for a couple days.
I think BH's post is about as close to a compliment as I will ever get out of him. Thanks, BH. You don't really have to go anywhere. Just tone down the "AP's are broke ass phonies" routine and stick around.
So...I met a pretty interesting old timer today. Sounded like he's been around.
Tough beginnings for him, got into gambling, no, not the regular gambling your probably thinking about, more what they call advantage play gambling. Line play and progressives. I guess there's a way to make some moves on those machines. Didn't get all the dirty details but close enough for a one hour conversation.
The story is the guy straightened himself out, then straightened out even more not too long ago. Now things seem to be going real good. Bounces around, hits the road, makes a buck. A tale of Indian casinos versus Vegas. Vultures and hustlers, meters and coin in.
All in all not too bad a story. Nice job Mickey.

I would imagine they don't, because they already have to pay the station for the time slot to do their show. Mickeycrimm was fine in this show but those two knucleheads Dancer and Munchkin were unprepared.
They had no idea what to make of what was being talked about and many times they were completely at a loss of words.
You think they would of scripted or at least prepared the question and answers a bit better being the professionals that they are.
I like how MC doesn't care about the information though... he is basically telling everyone that if you want free money you need to go to Montana every 2 months or so.

He could easily have people on who would talk about how to cut low cards out of play or how to cut to get a stiff/bust card into the dealer's hand (all perfectly legal). LOL. I will give this a listen when I travel next. I cant remember if I listened to MC's first one.
Most of the GWAE shows are not that good for seasoned AP's. There have been a few that I thought were good. I think it was Peter Liston's appearance where he talked about the linked must hit slots in Australia that I enjoyed since I had no clue that was going on over there.
I meant to say "one trick ponies" above, not "one hit wonders."
I think a lot of the guests have some very interesting things to discuss but deliberately stick to well known stuff.
I don't know how their scheduling works and what obligations they have to fulfill but I think it would be ideal if they just slowed down the pace of production and waited for good interview subjects to come forward.
Personally, my favorite episodes are the ones where the people aren’t necessarily giving out “good information”, but tell interesting stories and share tidbits of information without being too open.
I listened to about the first half of MC’s last episode and it was pretty boring. Although perhaps that’s because I’ve already much of his stuff on the forum, so it’s not particularly new to me. Shouldn’t be taken as a slant against Mickey, for what it’s worth.
Despite the two interviewers flaws I thought Mickey put on a really good show.
