What is that about MWP? Who are you a sockpuppet of?
I have known you for 10 years on various forums and while I would say I disagree with more than I agree with that you post, I am pretty sure you are legit. I think Mr. Wizard let his temper get the better of him and flew off the handle with this one. I would like to hear what makes him think you are a sock puppet and of who?
Anyway, MWP, I guess that is your welcome to "Wizard's world", even though you have been there for 9 years. :D
Midwest Player, aren't you posting from some place in the Midwest where it is winter 8 months a year? I ask because many of your posts on various sites talk about 6 feet of snow?

That was pretty funny. Midwest did a poll regarding "Should KJ be reinstated?" That took some delicacy and foresight. Anyway, Midwest got banned, but there sits the poll, favoring KJ's reinstatement for all eternity. That's great. I have to give Midwest credit -- the poll is something that'll be there in black and white, sticking in various craws in perpetuity. He really couldn't do any better.
You know redietz, when I was banned there wasn't an official poll (that would have never been allowed), but it was the topic of conversation for weeks and it was quite clear the overwhelming majority of WoV felt Mike was wrong in siding with Norm and banning me. I am guessing probably 3-1, maybe more. And that despite Mike's popularity among his membership. And that was a testament to the membership, because the issue was not a me vs Mike thing....never was. They just felt overwhelmingly that he was wrong in this instance.Quote:

MWP lives in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and I think somewhere along Hwy 2, the northernmost highway in US and also runs thru montana.
It looks like Shackleford really screwed the pooch on this one. He's going to have to backtrack or his reputation will be tarnished forever. It looks like he just flew off the handle and banned MWP out of spite and without thinking. Shack should be challenged to provide the usernames of the sockpuppets he's accused MWP of having. And the post is hardly trolling.
Shack does not like to be reminded of KJ because he knows he was was wrong in banning him over Norm's bullshit. Norm played Shack like a top. Shack knows it but refuses to acknowledge it. Shack is not man enough to correct his mistake and move on.
Shack is certainly a mathematical genius but he is just not much of a man.

But I don't think he is. I think Wizard jumped to conclusion be cause I had just posted there as a joke. I mean my posts, 80% originate from my home in Las Vegas, with another 15% probably from various public Wifi around Vegas (numerous Boyd and Station casinos, Rampart Casino, El Cortez, Downtown Las Vegas free Wifi, South Point, UNLV wifi and a few other casinos). The final 5% of my posts occur when I travel, from hotel or friends wifi.
And while, it wouldn't be impossible for someone to have an IP match with some of the public wifi I use around town, I don't even think Midwest Player even visits Vegas or at least never talks about it. He talks about some of the smaller towns like Wendover. Be real interesting to see how this plays out.
Axelwolf asked who at WoV. Doesn't seem like he is going get a response. And Midwest Player seems suddenly quiet.
Thank you Mickeycrimm. This is a very accurate recap and conclusion. I really think this is what it is all about now. Mike isn't big enough to admit that he was wrong. I mean when he banned me, he referred to Norm as "his friend". Said he owed him a favor and couldn't say no. So where is this good friend now? Mike has been known to make a mistake or two. I have no idea how their internet address sniffer works but I dont think its some super duper special program and nothing someone like me couldn't figure out with a simple IP address. At this point, I'm thinking Mike has made a mistake, but who knows.
First thing that came to my mind was a similar situation a couple years back at WoV. I want to say it was Billryan, but am not 100% sure. So this person whoever it was begins posting in like 2016 using an account that was created in 2009. Mike immediately bans him or her as a sock puppet with matching IP to other accounts. Turns out in 2009 anyone using AOL (America online) which was popular then got an IP address that was the middle of the continental United States....somewhere in Kansas. So many accounts created at that time using AOL, had an initial IP that matched. Since MWP account was created in 2010, and he only has a dozen posts, I am wondering if this isn't a similar situation. :confused: One thing I do know for sure....not me. As far as KJ's ban at WOV, this topic has been discussed ad naseum (I don't know what those words mean but I assume it means "a lot", sort of like "beating a dead horse" or the politically correct team, "feeding a fed horse"). TLDR: KJ got the short end of the stick because of Norm, KJ got banned, then instead of just chillin' for a while and letting it sort itself out (which KJ damn well knows was happening since there were posts on WOV and he knew people were talking to Mike IRL)....he said a bunch of shit that he shouldn't have said. And it's not like KJ went on a rant for a day or 2, no....he went on....and on....and on....and on...

I got wronged too, but I recovered. How? I was lucky since we have a Forum Banned Anonymous chapter in my local community. It's obvious he was talking about CERTAIN things said on the other forums wouldn't carry over to wizard of Vegas. There's no way he could fathom every single situation that might occur, sometimes rules need to be changed as you go along. I guarantee you he doesn't even know half the s*** you had said about him on the other Forum. I know some of you guys love to believe he was reading that, but I guarantee you he wasn't. But Mike has set terms that I can not....WILL NOT agree to. Mike wants me to apologize to Norm Wattenberger. I have nothing to apologize to Norm Wattenberger about. He banned me from his forum, because he decided he wanted to protect someone that was intentionally misleading players with Blackjack claims that were mathematically impossible. Norm is a math guy and he knew these claims were mathematically impossible. But he decided to protect the leading poster on his forum, from several of us professional players that challenged these claims.
So Norm's forum, he had a right to do that I guess. But that wasn't enough for Norm, he followed me to 4 different forums, BJ21 which at the time he didn't participate much at, Wizard of Vegas where he hadn't participated in 5 years, and 2+2 poker forum, and GamblingForums where he created accounts just to feud with me. And at each of these forums, he pressured the forum owners and administrators to ban me. Three of these forum owners/administrators told Norm to fuck off. Only Michael Shackleford gave in to Norms demand because according to Mike, he owed Norm a favor.
Norm Wattenberger has a history of feuds with numerous people in the blackjack community and he has a history of threatening forum owners with legal action. He is a real sleazebag. A very small human being. I will NOT apologize to this asshole. And I am not sorry for anything I have said about him.
Now Mike on the other hand, I do regret most of the things I said about him. While he was wrong for allowing Norm to bully him and ban a real member of his forum, a member who tried to contribute positively for 4 years, I do realize that Mike was put in a bad situation because he considered Norm his friend at the time. I was hard on Mike, said some really nasty things that I do regret. I always liked and respected Mike Shackleford. I admire that he left his cushy Govt job to follow his passion. I am genuinely happy for the success he had in selling his business. I only wish I had a tenth of his mathematical ability.
But this hold that Norm continues to have over Mike is bizarre, especially after Norm ceased participating at WoV after he got what he wanted, proving what his intent was. I don't know what the deal is with these guys, but I will never apologize to Norm as a condition of anything! And for Mike to even ask that, diminishes my view of him.
Trying to get back on the WoV is so 2018. It's sort of like fighting to get into North Korea. WTF wants to do that? You have to discuss or raise only Ministry approved topics now. Only a communist would subject themself to that BS.
I didn't say someone I said no doubt Norm may have been, but how the hell would I know? I think Mike mainly wanted to apologize for calling him stinky and and whatever else you may have said that wasn't related to the actual thing you were upset about in the first place. As far as MWP, I agree with you...he likes to stir the pot but he does it in a good way. I’ve never seen him do anything malicious in his posts. I thought that was a great poll MWP posted on WOV. It made Mike come out of his cave and show his true colors. Yes, it was a little on the trolling side but all in all done in a good way.
As to MWP’s question about where I’ve been, I haven’t gone anywhere. I’ve been traveling quite a bit with work so I haven’t had time to post much but I still keep up with the different sites. I always check out Zenzone everyday to see if Moses posted something. He’s made some classics lately. I’ve also got more into sports betting and this has taken up a lot of time. I’m finding I enjoy sports betting much more than bj, and I don’t need to worry about heat as much.

That RS_ is what I find unreasonable.
I mean that is the way Mike shows his appreciation for the real members of the forum who chose and tried to make the forum a better forum? Where is the loyalty back? Yeah, that is some crazy shit to me. :rolleyes:
And look how it played out. The guy that Mike sided with, who came to the forum only to manipulate and use mike to ban someone, left as soon as he got what he wanted. While the liked and respected and loyal member, who contributed positively for years, is STILL willing to move forward and participate in a positive manner.
Having just gone back and read, Mike's words were that "KewlJ was a very valuable member here".
So that raises 2 questions:
1.) Why would you ban a very valuable member, because someone who hasn't participated in 5 years tells you to?
2.) where is QFIT? What has he ever contributed to WoV?
Is it really to much for me to have expected a little loyalty from Mike? Mike should have told QFIT "NO", just as all the other forum owners did.

You are a good longterm contributing member of WoV in good standing, as is Axelwolf and MaxPen.
So suppose someone shows up, maybe someone that used to participate at WoV, but hasn't in years. AS an example let's say Alan Mendelson. So Alan starts attacking you or Axelwolf or MaxPen. Continuing a feud that was started here or on some other forum. And Alan demands from Mike that you, Axelwolf or MaxPen be banned. He bullies and manipulates and constantly harasses Mike privately until Mike bans you (or Axelwolf or MaxPen).
Would any of you guys think THAT is reasonable? :confused:
And then to top it all off....after achieving his goal of getting you banned, Alan disappeared again, proving that was his only agenda.
Be honest RS_ (Axel and MaxPen too). How would you feel about that?

I don't know or care about this WoV stuff. I don't even post there, as most of you know.
This is a different type of forum with a much more laid back moderation style, as most of you also know.
I don't know of kewlJ was right or wrong regarding his situation there. I do know that kewlJ can be very dramatic at times, and this thread is a good example of it. I have to agree with what Axel said. He should have just laid low after his ban, and not flipped out on Mike on other forums. That all but sealed the deal.
Most forum owners aren't as easygoing as I am when it comes to tolerating people bashing them.
Since you don't seem to know, but still want to be critical of me, let me recap a few things you are wrong about Dan Druff.Quote:

And let's be real about this. I waited 3 months. Wouldn't have mattered if I had waited 3 years. The fact is that Mike knew he was wrong from day 1. I know this because he privately told me. And then he went on to tell me how much Norm (QFIT) had pressured him and how Mike "owed this favor to QFIT, so he couldn't say no".
So nothing was going to change. The fact is Mike knew he was wrong, but he wasn't going to be man enough to admit that publicly. The only conclusion I can come to is that he was and remains afraid of QFIT.
Being "easygoing" and allowing all the trolling that you do has worked out real well Dan Druff. You have a forum where 90% of discussion is either about WOV or a couple Trump enthusiasts doing THAT troll thing, or.....Tasha starting meaningless threads.
