Personally, I think this is inappropriate and am not going to participate.

However I just want to remind you why we don't have many polls on this forums. Sock puppets are basically allowed here. And this poll is pitting two of the bigger trolls, not just on this site but in the gambling community internet, both notorious sock puppet kings. So it might just come down to which of these two has the most sock puppet accounts on this site. :D

I personally like the position of not having to troll back and forth with Rob. You could have been in the same position. When Rob asked for a ceasefire you could have been part of it but you chose not to. Not only did you not stop the trolling you poured the coal on it. What did you expect Rob to do? Sit by and let you fire away at him without responding?
You are hung up on the credibility thing. Politicians do the same thing. Attack someone's credibility. Like it doesn't matter if one's assertions are true. It's how much credibility they have. It's just to damn easy to attack someone's credibility. But what about the assertions? Do they hold any weight?
It's been quite awhile since Rob revealed his play on the double up bug. I put out a 1K reward for information from anyone that they taught Rob anything about the play. The gambling world is a small world and no one has responded.
If a debate were held, to bad the prominants like Dancer, Munchkin and Shack won't participate, on the double up bug, I think we would all be witnesses to the fact that Rob holds more knowledge on the double up bug than any other human being. I think he can rip anyone to shreds over technical knowledge of the play. Not even IGT knows as much about it as he does.
And it's just sad, KJ, that you and some others can't let old animosities go by the wayside and move on in life.
My best guesses are that acccountinquestion, a notorious coward, is:
1) Jerry Logan
2) girlfriday
3) Alan Mendelson's son straightening out karma
4) redietz on a pre-season bender, but with a better sense of humor (the poll was a funny idea).
I especially suspect the latter, as his stated self-banning here except to defend others from "Singer" seems to match up with the arrival of accountinquestion. Then again, redietz self banned from WoV just to make a point, which appears to be rare these days. So maybe not.
I don't really know who or what Munchkin is and never heard of him until he hooked up with Dancer on GWAE--and like I've said, I don't blame Dancer for not wanting to talk to me, regardless of the huge boost it would give his show. But I'm not 100% sure it's the same with Shack yet.
At any rate, when we see hacks like RS__ repeatedly posting how and why he won't "engage" when he just can't help himself from continually "engaging", it's very clear what his approach and agenda is when it comes to me. Not my fault he's a coward though.

Obviously something like that didn't have to give great details or say anything that would incriminate you but just enough that would document something you just came up with after the fact. I myself have done that or a few things just in case a situation ever came up where my story(IF ever wanted to tell it) was called into question.
At some point, I'm hoping this will escalate a little bit further and something will happen more then Rob just writing words on a forum, Because, it seems to me he's on a complete free-roll. For the most part he's already tarnished his reputation and has nothing to lose, and everything to gain.
If it turns out not to be true, he could always come back and say, I was trolling you guys... ha! ha! ha! people fell for it fell for it including MC and AW. If it's true, he gained some type of notoriety or whatever the f*** you want to call it. Perhaps he's looking to capitalize on it somehow. If nothing else, He has an i-told-you-so moment he can revel in.
Hey Dandruff, how about having them as a guest on pokerfraudalert? I would certainly hate to be under the scrutiny of the poker community if I was lying about something like this. I have no doubt with enough eyes and ears on this situation from enough Advantage players/poker players the truth would come out one way or the other.

And frankly if this were the first time dealing with him, a person might want to give the benefit of doubt, but there is a long history of this. Outrageous, claims, and then nothing to back it up. Changing excuses, and all that.
And for those that think I am using a double standard because I repeatedly say people shouldn't have to prove their claims. This is a different situation, a different level. This is such a big claim, it would be monumental. It would in fact be one of the greatest AP plays, so there is proof required. This is different than me claiming to win by my card counting, which many, many players do or can do.
Here is the analogy. MY claim is equivalent to me saying I ran and finished a half marathon 2 Sundays ago. Nothing extraordinary about that. Many people run and finish marathons and half marathons every week. No proof required. You are free to believe or not believe me. Rob's claim is like him saying he ran a 3 minute mile last Sunday. For one I don't want to be like you. I find AP stuff fascinating and when/if I come across big plays I may take them in the future. Might even go visit casinos specifically for such purposes. Thats about it.
For two, I make probably more than you do without near the effort.
For 3, if I was going to do AP stuff fulltime 100%, I would definitely do something else but machine play.
Actually, I am considering starting up a slot development company at some point in the future.

My reply to axel over why I didn't set up some elaborate "this will be proof to the critics" is pretty simple: this was BIG to me in my world, and there was always a diminishing chance it could have landed me in prison--something very ominous to a person with a respectable govt & private working career behind him, a long happy marriage, and children and grandchildren. I was extraordinarily focused on making sure my tax returns were 100% according to the book in order to eliminate any trouble from that aspect of the situation. Thinking about being able to prove something like this to mostly anonymous internet forum people or frankly to anyone, did not even come close to making the cut. What was important was that I made money from the play in a way that I would never get noticed doing it. I chose to be a professional video poker player, and I was all-in from the start. Worrying about what people thought of me if and when I were to release such information was never even close to being a part of my approach.
You don't see me running around jumping up and down screaming like a spoiled little kid who can't get his way, because this person or that person doesn't believe me. I don't really care one way or the other. But I'm sure SOME people do, as evidenced from their prior hatred of me and the jealousy which flows thru their minds when they truly know they can't just dismiss what I've done.
Unlike you or quite a few others here, I'm not beholden to what a community of online anonymous people think of me about anything. I've had a good working career where I built up a great reputation with friends all over the world. And you know I have a family, who have benefitted greatly from both my work and vp efforts. The fact that I chose to take up a vp career that included a successful strategy as well as success in finding an exploitable flaw in the machines, is well in-line with my lifetime of personal and professional success. Sure I've had some bumps just like you explained to me about yourself, and everyone does. Understand that laying down this play for so long by someone like me was extremely stressful because of the unknowns. I was just lucky in the way that it ended. The story of my life, really.
Now onto why I acted so despicable on the forums over the years. I came onto the scene with an agenda to stir up controversy and to show I could win money playing differently than how the vp ap's claimed they did. Choosing the right pen name gave me instant credibility in that dept. Then Gaming Today came after me and that stroke of luck lasted nearly 8 years. The nasty battle was on, the hate was spewing on the internet, and I was loving every minute of it. But in the middle of all this the expected/unexpected happened. I found an unspeakable machine flaw that made me something called easy money. I was convinced I had the unique ability to keep it to myself as well as being able to go on with "business as usual" for the duration.
As such, I kept up my hated forums profile, and I "adjusted" my actual VP results downward and my play reports to make them more believable in my publications and on my website. And I was able to keep this up until the play ended.
While some of this might not be how others would have handled it, it's how I chose to. All I can say is, you'd have to have walked entirely in my shoes to know all the answers here. I know I can't prove anything now and those who hate me and don't want it to be that I made a lot of money from this play will forever continue to try and tell themselves that it's just not so. No sweat off my ass. But the fact that I chose axel and mickey to tell first was only because I recognized that not only are these two guys probably the most knowledgeable about machine gambling---I knew that if they could experience the REAL me explaining something that I did and how I did it--if they didn't immediately diss it then I achieved my goal of finally being able to share this pressurized secret hidden deep inside with my biggest critics who would listen. There was no deception in any way.
I recently saw where Mickey said I probably know more about this play than IGT does. He's right. So in that regard, I'll make myself available for anyone who wants to question me, debate me, or learn from me on it. And I WILL find machines that have never been updated with the correct eprom.
