AP Blackjack Question

So Ive been practicing now for a few weeks counting down decks no prob in about 30 secs. I have been using hi/lo but thinking about trying red 7 to remove the deck calculation for TC.

I only have two casinos in driving distance. One is at about a .57 house edge (6 deck, DAS, RSA (To 3 hands), split to 4 hands otherwise, aces only receive 1, no surrender, obviously 3-2, and a consitent dealer set 75% pen at all the tables. This is in WI. Almost no heat there from when I have gone and played. But I dont think you could wong in or back count itd be to conspicious there. The other is Hochuck which is farther and has worse rules.

I have a full setup at home where I totally replicate this, i.e shuffle machine i double shuffle with, table felt, chips, shoe, cut cards, i do everything exactly as they do.

This game should be beatable with a 1-12 spread. My sessions are either lose all or double your money. But so far out of 8 sessions at home where i start with 25-30 units, i have lost 6, and only won 2. Obviously this is possible with a swing but my concern is that I have only had a TC as high as +6 in any of these sessions and usually it doesnt pass +4 so im never getting anywhere near at 12 unit spread. Usually i do make it 4-7 shoes into these sessions before i either win or lose, is this also normal?

Sidenote: tips on counting at the casino because i can count down decks in pairs all day but looking at a table or even my own setup i turn into a sloth.

Looking for general input or thoughts on this.

And in answer to the OP, :rolleyes:, you might want to familiarize yourself with true count frequencies. I recommend Don Schlesingers Blackjack Attack 3 or Qfit it software products for this.

You will see that in 6 and 8 deck shoe games the higher TC's occur pretty infrequently and and that they are clumped, meaning you won't see a t.c. of +6 that often, less that 1% of the time. And when you do, you might experience a number of them in that one high count shoe, meaning you might not see another for many shoes.

I am actually thinking this is probably you Tasha. This has your type of shenanigans fingerprints all over it.

The only reason I was thinking possibly not Tasha is because it is usually some haters that have been around forums that I have been on that usually bring up my first name hoping to out me, hoping to harm me with casino personell and such.

At this point I don't think that even matters. I have done a pretty good job distancing myself from my real identity at the casinos. They are more likely to identify me and give countermeasures by appearance than by association with a name.

Hopefully I'm wrong. I guess we would have to ask Dan if the General location matches up or the persons is using a VPN.

Midwest Player is not a Tasha sock or a sock of anyone. Those in the blackjack community know Midwest Player for many years from a number of blackjack forums.

I was so mad I said something like,"I wish I could find the Asshole who impersonated me and stole $1,000 from me. I'd beat their ass!" I had to sign paperwork claiming I was the victim of identity theft and I waited 6 months to get my own money back! So when it looked like you were being impostered by that account, I got angry and cussed him out remembering what happened to me.

I don't think you should be banned, maybe just make sure in the future that your posts are not another Poster's post verbatim(There was an interesting case where two different Posters wrote the exact same thing verbatim at exactly the same time down to the millisecond and had a good laugh about how they were perfectly in sync with their posts, LOL.) In the AP world blackjack card counters have been at war with casino personnel who try to identify us and stop us from playing for decades. In recent years this "war" has spread to include just about all forms of advantage play. The casinos want to identify and stop anyone playing with an advantage.....Period!

This is exactly why very few AP's and ZERO blackjack AP's don't use their real name on forums. And why MOST blackjack AP's don't even participate on "open" forums.

Now, I have nobody to blame for my name being somewhat known. Anyone who has been around a while probably knows my name, because I was naïve early on and my "handle" included an identifying item. I stopped using that years ago, changing my handleon all forums that I am on. And while I knew that wouldn't undo the damage, it was my hope that it would prevent any new damage.

But periodically people that seem to hate me and want to sabotage me and cause damage, try to out me (dox me) and cause me damage by using that name. One guy continually vows to find me take pictures and supply the pictures and whatever other information he can come up with to all casinos in Las Vegas. And he showed up at my home in the last 6 months, leading to police involvement, as building management filed a police complaint.

So the handle issue may seem minor to you. But it is the first and easiest step to someone trying to dox me and cause financial harm to me and my playing career. I think I have protected myself somewhat, but it is still a big concern. So while I have no doubt that you were a daily rider of the "short bus", I refuse to believe that with all your internet and forum experience, that this could be an accident. I think you know exactly what you are doing and it is an intentional act to cause me harm.

Well, why don't you take the bull by the horns and do something about it. I know of one site that lists old posts from you as KewlJxxxx. Just like Dan did for you on this site, why don't you contact the site administrator and ask him to change your handle to KJ or KewlJ. Dan did it on this site, and Norm changed Tasha's handle from "Blackjack Pro" to "Blackjack Newbie" on his site. It can be done.

When that forum came back to life a few years ago after being dormant for a number of years, I did request the administrator to change my handle and all my old posts. His response was that he didn't know exactly how to do that. While he is no doubt my favorite forum administrator, always fair in my opinion and a successful blackjack AP himself, he isn't the tech guy that most other administrators are, because it is not his priority. He sort of has that job thrust on him.

So I didn't push him, I changed my name at that time going forward but old posts from the heyday still show up as the older name. it wouldn't have made much difference anyway would it Midwest Players? You are on enough forums with me, that you should know there are a group of people/players in this community that troll me and hate me and will do anything to discredit me, and cause me harm. And I know you have read the threats from the funny farm about doing that and more. Now I don't know how large a group of people/players this is....whether it is as large a group as it seems or just 3 or 4 that follow me around hating. And I am pretty sure in almost all cases the hate isn't even about blackjack. You are on these forums Midwest, so you should see it, although sometimes you don't seem to see what is obvious to the rest of us. :rolleyes:

Well I can't say that I am convinced it is not Tasha. The denials from Tasha are word for word the denials that she uses when socks DO turn out to be her. And there was that weird double post by Tasha and Fake Kewlj which is pretty incriminating.

But I did say if Dan confirms that fake Kewlj isn't tasha, I would apologize to tasha and Dan did give his opinion based on info that the rest of us don't have. So until further evidence comes up, I apologize to Tasha for saying it was her. I still think there is a good chance....but what are ya going to do. :rolleyes:
