Even his very NAME is a heavy reference to Mdawg since we all know that Mdawg is a heavy Baccarat Enthusiast and Epitome Baccarat Player. I refuse to believe that Baccmaster chose that name as an innocent coincidence. Most Innocent Newbies DO NOT sink their claws into Older Members like Baccmaster did. I don't think posting up pictures of cash is a smart thing to do on the internet. I actually find it quite strange that people do that. Perhaps if I had some monetary motivation to do so that might change my mind. There's absolutely zero reward for posting up pictures jackpots, money, w-2g'S, winning Sports tickets,etc. I can only see a bunch of negatives. Kj, I disagree with you. I’ve learned some things about gambling and blackjack from zengrifter on that forum. I thought his comments on counter’s basic strategy was an excellent discussion. He held his own debating Don on this topic. Zengrifter’s interview that he has posted a couple times is good too.

See that is the problem. These forums now have all evolved into the fight club forums that were before my time in the gambling /AP/Blackjack community. And the discord is at the very top of that. That is precisely why I stopped participating there.

When I started with the forums, only 12 years ago or so, sure there was a little snipping, a little conflict of personalities. That is bound to accur when you get a large group of personalities together. But despite that, the majority of the forum was about sharing experiences and information that could help and benefit each other. And I am grateful I got in at THAT time, because I benefited to a great extent. I mean that is where I learned most of what I know now and am able to apply to making a living.

Now-a-days it isn't like that. No one is sharing anything useful on any of these sites and it is all about egos. Everything and I mean everything dissolves into a pissing contest and guys like you think it is a debate competition. You give yourself points for getting a jab in at someone rather than trying to contribute something useful that might be beneficial to someone else. I consider my foe, my adversary, the casino industry, that I play against, make my living against and does everything in their power to stop me. Not some other AP, also trying to make a living that I can get a shot or jab in at.

Kj, I respectfully disagree with you. Most the commets you’ve made around blackjack, I’ve agreed with, and I’ve learned from you. The only one you could maybe say I’ve poked fun of is you counting multiple tables. And you’re way to sensitive about that subject. I have counted two tables before so I know it can be done, but I haven’t done it often.

The debate I had with zengrifter on a discord channel was on tipping. I’ve noticed this is a hot button subject with a lot of APs. And that’s one area I’m not backing down. I’m a tipper. I tip dealers, waitresses, etc, you name it, I tip them. I know that is part of their livelihood, tips, and I also feel I am the one playing the game the wrong way. That’s probably why I like MDawg, he’s a tipper too.

Let’s be honest here. The purpose of casinos are as an entertainment and the majority of people have to play in a negative EV way, otherwise casinos would not exist. I know I’m not doing that, so I do feel a little guilty when I extract money from my local casinos. I don’t feel the same way when I go to a larger casino in a town I don’t live close too. Call me inconsistent if you want too, but that’s how I feel.

All the other debates we’ve had here are on politics or religion, which has nothing to do with gambling or APing and you don’t need to participate. Those topics are allowed here and some people like to debate/discuss them. Everybody’s entitled to their opinion and it’s nice to have a place where we can express our views, because you certainly can’t do it at work or anywhere else. It’s called therapy. Lol.

I specifically said, even before the poll, that we knew MDawg would get at least several votes, because we knew that you and blackhole would vote yes. The person I call out as really being dishonest was Rob, who basically said he voted the opposite because he thought that would irk me.

Now I did say something along the lines that I thought your argument wasn't sincere. And I believe that. I think I said you were too smart to really believe that. I truly believe that. And not just about you, but about several people on this forum dating back to Alan. I think some of you guys make arguments and statements that you really don't believe deep down, you make them to oppose AP's in general, or someone specific, like Mickeycrimm.

But I will tell you what I DO hold against him and that is his forum the zenzone. The forum has 1 active member, spewing hate and lies. It so happens this person has stalked me to a level involving law enforcement involvement several different times now, including a trespass charge for showing up at my home and attempting to get into the building. Yes, I do know that. I’ve read quite a few articles related to it and Zengrifter’s comments on it. Look I’m not God, so I don’t know what happened, so I’m not going to judge him. Heaven knows i haven’t done everything right in life, so who am I too judge.

If you look at the photos MDawg posted of the shoes he played, and his explanation of how he played them, then there is no math to prove that he could not have won for those shoes.

Kind of funny, on another forum, a blackjack forum, just 2 nights ago, I put someone on ignore. It was Zengrifter. Hey, blackhole, I see you and I had a reasonable back-and-forth on that. I don't know if you'd actually seen the doors in question, but I remember when they first installed them with the pneumatics, I thought "Jesus, I gotta be careful with these." It wasn't the speed by itself or the weight of the doors itself; it was the combination. And they kind of seemed to speed up in the last foot or foot-and-half of closing. So if you saw the rate-of-close initially, then looked away with your hand there, you could've gotten squashed. I didn't think that would often happen with an aware adult, but a kid could easily get caught unawares, or some drunk person. The fact they were clean see-through glass added to the stealth-ness of the final closing speed.

I thought it was bad design. Those were at Caesars, right? It was a design flaw that you would never see at a Wynn property, you know?

Thank you for sharing that thread Blackhole! That has got to be one of the most entertaining threads I have ever read. James40 was a classic...he’s pretty much par for the course on what you find on some of these forums.

He reminded me of Barney Fife from Andy Griffin. He had no idea he was looking like an idiot every time he came after you, but he never let up. Although I do think he got you in the end with that grammar mistake. Lol. They’ve pulled that one on me before. Whenever they can’t win in the arena of ideas, they usually call you names and look for an insignificant grammar mistake, and then say gotcha. If someone is making a new sitcom, they really need to try to find James40 to get some good material. Lol

I’m not too keen on lawyers or lawsuits, but I’ve had some sort-of-friends that are big time lawyers. Our politics are usually different so I try to stay out of that discussion. I did have an interesting experience with a big-time class-action lawyer a while ago, who would get the high roller treatment at casinos. Bellagio in Biloxi would fly him in on their private jet, and comp everything.

He invited me on one of these trips, since I was dating his wife’s best friend, and we got our whole trip comped too. We spent a weekend together in the nicest suites I’ve ever stayed in, with our own private elevators and we went to the nicest restaurants, always moving to the front of the line. It was an experience I won’t soon forget, and it made me understand better why people with big money enjoy casinos. Casinos truly treat you like royalty when you have money. And before APs chime in with: “it’s not because they like you, it’s because they want your money” all big rollers know that.

At that time, he worked for one of the biggest class-action firms in the US, who made their biggest hit through asbestos lawsuits. His firm put a couple large businesses out of business. We didn’t discuss this much, but he knew I was more pro-business and I thought these lawsuits did nothing to help consumers. They just made lawyers and their Democrat party wealthy. By the way, the person who ran this firm was the biggest donor in America to the Democratic Party. I read that in Forbes.

This guy’s bonus checks were in the million dollar a year range. So when he went to casinos, he would win or lose $30-$50,000. He was not an advantage player, but he had read Million Dollar Blackjack by Ken Uston, and enjoyed blackjack. He told me he didn’t have the time to learn how to count, and he knew he wouldn’t get the royal treatment if he did.

This is what I’ve found most APs don’t get. They don’t understand how a wealthy intelligent person would want to go to the casino and possibly lose $30-$50,000 a pop playing negative EV games. Btw, he told me the first time he played bj in a casino he won $30,000, so that’s what hooked him. And he knew he was lucky and playing at a disadvantage too.

APs think anybody that does that is stupid. But after spending the weekend with him, I can see now why he enjoys that life. It is entertainment and he enjoys the whole experience. He’s not a problem gambler, and he doesn’t go all the time, so I expect he losers in the range of $100,000 to $200,000 a year. The weekend we were together he won about $20,000.

The way this guy looks at it is he spends his time and energy on making millions being a lawyer and then enjoys relaxing and being treated like royalty at a casino. What’s wrong with that? APs have a hard time relating.
