MidWest Player - how is your toilet paper situation?

I was thinking about this the other day, when someone told me he thought the toilet paper shortage had gone away.

Over on Blackjack the Forum, MidWest Player had commented early on during the coronavirus crises that he had bought a lot of toilet paper. I think MWP said he had bought so much toilet paper, he had to stuff it into every room in their house, and he and his wife were having problems walking around their house, avoiding all the toilet paper stacked to the ceiling.

It sounded like MWP had bought enough toilet paper to last his household a couple years. Several people on BTF accused MWP of being a hoarder, but true to form MWP never replied. I was just wondering if MWP could give us an update on the toilet paper situation in his house.

Has it gone down enough to where you can walk around your house without tripping on rolls of toilet paper?

Bob, that was a funny post. Right now I would trade a 12 pack of toilet paper for a haircut.

I posted a picture of all the toilet paper piled up on the spare bed over at BJTF. The pile is halfway to the ceiling. The problem is so much is piled on that bed that I can't remember what's all in that pile anymore. However, along with toilet paper, there are paper towels, paper napkins, close to 100 face masks, dog diapers, an adding machine that I never opened, I winter coat that still in the box, winter gloves, box of hand towels, underwear, led light bulbs, light switches, and on the other side of the room is two old computers that still work.

Now the current problem is cans. With the lock down they won't let us bring the cans back. Must have at least 25 boxes of cans piled in the house and garage. If piled on top of one another they would easily go to the ceiling.

You're wrong Bosox. I was on the debating team in high school, and did very well. I like debating. It's a good way to learn things, and understand different viewpoints. I thought I might be a lawyer, but enjoyed science more, so I went that route.

Like I said player, they have a righteous cause. But burning down someones business or stealing their merchandise is not the answer. Good grief, what did those business owners do to them and how are they responsible for the cops actions? You have store owners posting signs that say "black owned business" hoping the pillagers will pass them by.

I'm not sure you're correct with the, "They tried peaceful protest. I doesn't work" comment. You seem to be in the camp that says this kind of mob reaction is justified because it will "get everybody's attention".

That cop should be in jail right now. It's probably the safest place he can be from the lynch mob. That is unless you think he should just be lynched without a hearing. You probably wouldn't be alone in that thought. That's what happens inside the mob mentality.

I feel for those business that got burned. I don't know if insurance even covers riots. I believe my insurance policy excludes riots. Maybe they can sue the police dept for not protecting their property, but there was so much anger over this something had to blow. I don't think it is over yet. The police in this city have a bad record. This is like the third incident in the last couple years. Maybe the police commissioner needs to go to. Hell, there was a chocking by police in New York, when are they ever going to learn.

Anyway, the cop is now in jail. Some charges will probably be brought against the other cops for not stopping the murder.

Wednesday night firefighters being attacked while trying to respond, Thursday generally law enforcement was prioritizating protecting firefighters trying to do their jobs over other things. Random people being robbed by armed men. 4 shootings and 7 stabbings between Wednesday 7pm to 7pm Thursday.

Last night many gun shots ringing out, during live news broadcast you could see people running away from area where precinct was burned after gunfire. Two women were reported to being seen kidnapped in public last night one black one white, a woman in her 30’s (race omitted from local story you know what that means) was found dead in the back seat of a car this morning with signs of trauma.

Case in point. Most trump hating CNN/MSNBC watchers don’t even know that the whole Russia narrative that they were spoon fed for years was all BS. They just don’t talk about it anymore.

I forgot to mention bricks were being dropped from underpasses at cars on the I-94 and 35W freeways and random cars were being shot at on University Avenue in St Paul, which is across the river from Minneapolis, the “twin city.” It’s possible to want the cop be arrested and be disgusted at the video and also not condone criminals tearing apart and destroy your city.

They burned down and looted their own neighborhood. It will be years before it recovers. So they are going to have to look at that blight and loss of jobs in the middle of where they live for years to come.

Don is a big boy, he can join this site if he wants, nobody is stopping him. I figured more was going on between Don and Eliot than just the spelling of hands per hour. I'm glad I started the Eliot and Don thread. It became very informational.

The area in Minneapolis where most of the destruction happened is, or at least was, a relatively trendy popular area for young adults. Mixed ethnicity but not predominantly minority or low cost. Slightly further east and areas nearby to the south are, but not really "ghetto" in any way, only areas on the north/northwest end of Minneapolis are typically rough. The areas on St. Paul where there was a lot of activity yesterday, on the other hand, they destroyed their own communities and businesses that probably won't bother with the headaches of coming back in those neighborhoods, with the exception of there are some small pockets of "better" neighborhoods around small universities on the the west end of the active areas.

You also got me at how you started the thread over here 10 hours and 19 minutes "knowing you I should have looked" before the other thread was closed. Although that was sort of cheating on your part as everyone always KNOWS well in advance when a thread is likely to be closed over there. So I call that part of it a technical push. Now I must smile at the point that you made saying that thread that you started over here was very informational. Maybe so to the members that participated, but I am going out on a limb again here that about you so far only put the first post and no more since then. So just like Bob21 says that you always fire a bomb and sit back and watch the resulting fireworks like you usually do. Kudos to you MWP you are the best at that maneuver.

Bosox, I was just over at blackjack info and read how your biggest fan (notice, I didn’t call her your mistress or anything like that) is now claiming she’s a gold digger.

She also said she doesn’t want to go back to high school. I’m assuming she’s referring to the sophomoric humor of high school kids. Well if that’s the case she needs to stay away from this forum. I think our humor might be down in grade school category.

I mean Kj has Mickey at 6, MaxPen has him at 10, and I have you down for 5, so this is a pretty young crowd.

As far as MWP being a bomb thrower, every good forum needs one of those. If MWP wasn’t doing it, I’d probably pick up the slack and do it. And every forum needs a Tasha...I hope she doesn’t do something stupid and get banned. And of course every forum needs a detective policeman type, and that’s why we got you.
