Recently, I was told that my players card club privileges have been revoked at one Casino.
I explained to them that their card was hardly worth having as it doesn't generate much free play or comps and is worth less than 0.1% cashback.
If it wasn't for a glitch or two in their casino or perhaps a few must hit machines this place isn't worth gambling at anymore.
As a matter of fact I am wondering if Vegas is worth the time and effort anymore for what you might consider advantage play.
Promotions are basically a thing of the past.
They don't like higher denomination players who play long hours.
Video Poker has been dying a slow death for the last few years and after Corona it looks like they hammered the nail into the coffin.
Interesting Note about Stations Casinos after the reopening.
They decided to not give Chairman the usual 3x point days anymore.
They cut all video poker to 2 dollars in for 1 point instead of 1 dollar in.
So the only time you can now play is perhaps on a 10x point day which gives you a 0.5% card on Sunday or Thursday.
Boyd killed their card and games after the Young at Heart debacle... etc etc on most other Casinos around town.
It is pretty much over in Vegas unless you want to learn new tactics against vision machines.
You could travel around the country and crush things if you have that sort of ambition.
I think its over for me and I've been saying that for a few years now but I have more clarity today.
I'm looking at Vacation Rentals up in Reno close to Lake Tahoe.
I think I found what I want and will book 2 weeks in early October.
August/September is difficult to book for my price range.
I did see an older more rustic rental but not sure my wife would be as happy compared to this other listing.
It wouldn't bother me as I like older cabins like that and it runs about 145 per night compared to 225 per night.
The only concern is how scared is she going to be to travel during the Chinese Flu and staying in a Rental Property, renting boats and other things like that.
