There's literally a 4 pin prong socket in the center of the rack and pinion under the front of the car exactly where the arm rest is. I punched it hard as fuck the whole car shook. Put two and two together. It's an electrical power steering setup on this car. Under the battery is the module and in the center of the rack and pinion is a plug. That plug is prone to becoming loose due to a faulty defect in the manufacturing of that socket.

Life is a literal troll. Walk on fucking eggshells. Open my mouth the world falls on me. Still can't be fucking stopped. And then they wonder why I say I'm the fucking best. Anyone else would've killed themselves by now

This is not normal behavior! Unless Zenking is making these posts just for effect, just as a type of troll, seeking attention, he has a serious problem. Playing blackjack via card counting for a living is a very unique thing. It is even different than other forms of advantage play because of the extreme variance involved. It is just small number of hands played with the largest bets out that will determine if a player wins or loses. And it is quite easy to go days, weeks, even months where you lose more of these hands that determine everything. A player HAS to be able to deal with losing for periods of time. This is a big part of why I set out to share my journey, and everything involved, all the ups and downs involved.

It isn't always easy. The first few times you go through somewhat long periods of losing, you might not understand what is going on. You start to question the math you know and understand. My younger brother is experiencing that right now for the first time in his 7 year career. It isn't really my place to discuss his journey, so I won't say much more than he is very frustrated right now. But he will get through it, as all long-term blackjack card counters do and life will go on and at some point maybe next year, or the year after he will have a year way above expectation, a year he just seems to win most of those bigger bets.

A player HAS to learn to deal with this, without freaking out and destroying their car or punching holes in the wall or threatening to shoot up casinos. If you can't then this isn't for you. That is all there is to say.

It seems like Zenking has moved away from card counting/blackjack to other forms of AP. Maybe that will suit him better, but so far, doesn't seem to be.

The very next day, after he calmed down, he was SHOCKED that he threatened to shoot up a Casino and regretted saying that. Zenking isn't BANNED from WOV, he's on an extended Suspension. Wizard said if Zenking apologizes for the threat to shoot up a Casino and apologizes to WOV, he will be let back. Zenking did kind of apologize for the first part, "I shouldn't have threatened to shoot up a Casino." But he never did the second part. I remember asking why I'm plain banned from WOV over the cussing rant that I apologized for multiple times and Zenking is just on an extended Suspension. Is this the thread where you get to bitch about repair bills? Great. Last week the Brake Warning Light came on my instrument cluster. Must be the brake pads are getting close, I thought. So I get an appointment at Midas, which I've used many times in the past and know they ain't a ripoff. It's a 7 year old vehicle.

So I needed rear brake pads, calipers and rotors. But that ain't all they found. The power steering pump was going out. A tie rod was going bad. And some other small stuff.

So the bill was $2705, $1600 for parts and $1100 for labor. Yes, I know, they just have the parts delivered from the parts store then mark them up 100%. But I don't like fucking around. When something needs fixed I want it fixed now. Time is money. I ain't got time to fuck around and try to save a few bucks.

I'm not really bitching. When you put 50K miles a year on vehicles you are going to pay repairs bills. Get used to it. It's one of my expenses.

Post Covid, at least if you're having OEM parts (meaning, factory) installed, there is not much difference on something like brake pads and rotors between having the dealer do the job, or some non-dealer place, or even buying the parts yourself from the dealer and installing them yourself. It has all evened out.

Even the difference between just having the dealer do it with all factory genuine parts or some other place doing it with non factory parts isn't as great as it was just a few years ago.

This sort of thing applies more or less for any auto repair nowadays, not just a brake job. You used to save a lot by avoiding the dealer for an out of warranty or maintenance job, not as much these days.


These are all things car owners know and have experienced. UNKewlJ, being homeless, has never owned a car in his life. Okay maybe if he'd grown up in NYC, no car and no driver license might be the norm, but Las Vegas is big enough to require a vehicle. Even when we stay in the hotels we like to have our own car present. Tunnel Dwellers like UNKewlJ just need to walk the relatively short distance to the Strip to hustle.

I'm finishing up some work on my '82 Volvo 244 Turbo; the belts were slipping after an engine out to replace the transmission and I discovered a leaking power steering pump hose fitting; last night I put Loctite 592 on the pressure hose threads where it attaches to the pump, but I have to wait 72 hours for it to cure.

Tired of a lumpy idle I removed and tore down the K-Jet / C.I.S. fuel distributor on the work bench: not a task for newbies, fraught with peril.

Lubricated, cleaned, adjusted...the usual stuff.

Won't know if my efforts succeed til I fire 'er up in a couple days.

Wynn does all sorts of shit with cars. Their customer base is so strong they even sold a F1 car for something like $17 million. They had the auction in the theater where they have the Awakening show. There's a McLaren dealer in the old Louis Vuitton store right off the casino.
