I wouldn't wish those LA fires on my worst enemy.
Hellish infernos.
Dan will be OK. Power outages are a common occurrence in Calif. Many of those who've found it difficult to just get up and leave that dying but once great state because of the horrendously incompetent Democrat controlled state & local politicians, have been buying and installing whole-house backup generators. The big laugh is they're gasoline or diesel fueled beasts.
Obviously, this tragedy is an opportunity to learn. All the Liberals who blocked the clearing out of underlying brush and stopped the flow of water to LA County because these idiots couldn't handle the terrifying thought of environmental development or heaven forbid!--not being a sanctuary state and not continually giving out handouts & freebies to all those illegal aliens they slobber over, are now paying the hard-core price for being so dumb. And by rufusing to vote for or even listen to Republicans who've repeatedly warned them this was coming, they are now getting what they've long asked for.
What goes around comes around....and in such a teachable way.
(How's that smoke inhalation going, Maxine Watters :) ) Still hate Donald Trump?!
Why isn't this retard posting more fake ultimate X jackpots?
Burn baby burn.
Learn baby learn.
Chop baby chop.

Apparently climate change does have a face ...
Druff has posted a couple times at PFA since I started this thread. As of last night he was still without power. But I gotta say, his posts were screwy. He was using power from his vehicle, not to keep lights on or the refrigerator running, but to be able get online. THAT seemed to be his top priority and main concern. Weird. Almost typical Druff. God forbit he should take his family to a hotel/motel where they would be safe and have electricity and food.
I still hope he and his family are safe and not in any immediate danger from fires ect.
Edit: Make that as of a few minutes ago he still doesn't have power, but is using what he can muster from his car to get on the internet to post about how he doesn't have power. Weird Druff stuff.
It is funny how the stories always have things like a "flame thrower" or a "red can gallon of gas". The thing is if you want to start these fires all you need is a Bic.
That being said is this is the new normal. ISIS wants to fuck the US? Well.... here is such an incredible attack vector and it wont' get better. Water supplies keep dwindling all around due to climate change via man-made Earth warming. Sooooo fucked. It is starting to settle in.
"Drill, Baby, Drill"
cue Singer with his lame attempt to get under my skin. It just goes to show how awful these people are. 2 record back to back years of global temps. Go ahead Singer and tell yourself what you wish about annoying me but remember one thing. I have to give you a certain level of respect to pay attention/internalize anything you say on much of any level.
Watching a bit of coverage of the Cali Fires, Cnn had a reporter on a street that showed a house completely untouched, while the houses on both sides had been burned to the ground. On the other side of one of the destroyed houses was another house completely untouched. And this wasn't an anomaly. I saw another street where one side of the street houses were burned to the ground and on the other it was sporadic.
Makes me wonder what are they building these (million dollar) houses out of? It is a case of the 3 little pigs where some are built of straw and sticks (wood) and others built of bricks? Why are we building houses out of flammable materials? Just because they are cheaper?
And it looks like roofing materials are flammable on most houses. maybe that too is something they should rethink.
Just thinking out loud.
Those are not million dollar houses. They're $300k-$400k homes anywhere else, far overvalued just like everything else is in S. California. The whole state is an artificial pile of shit, run into the ground by greedy and stupid politicians who have zero ability to plan and do anything correctly. These clowns have been getting away with all their careless arrogance, corruption, DEI nonsense, and self-serving bullshit.....until NOW.
ELI has arrived.
Oh AQ: man-made climate change being the cause here? :)
No wonder your skin's crawling beneath the surface....
Since Dawg wants to hijack this thread to talk about lying....here is what Dawg has claimed he has won on 8 days of play so far this year.

Total +$387,100 AND...casinos and casino personnel not caring and allowing this person who plays rated to continue to play.
That is about all that needs to be said about anyone lying on these forums.
Nobody cares about your fucking political views Singer. You are a VERY, VERY typical old person, bitter and complaining and blaming about everything.
As far as climate change....these California fires were not caused by climate change. Even before they started talking about arson, I suspected these fires were arson or man started, because most wild fires are started by lighting strikes and there has been no lightning in California for months. (no rain either). But the lack of rain (climate change) and dry brush laying around served as "kindling" to fuel the fires and aid in the spreading. So climate and no rain for 6-8 months did play a part.
In wondering why some houses fared better than others which I was doing above, I suspect those that cleared the dead kindling type brush from their properties fared better than those that didn't.
Why isn't this retard posting more fake baccarat sessions?
It would depend a lot on vegetation. If there was a stone fence. Most of the heat is due to radiation and that radiation adds up. So a fence can absorb a lot of the radiant heat .. or brick. As long as the brick doesn't get too hot to conduct enough heat to start a fire on things that touch it. If the grass was well mowed. It would also depend on how the building nearby burned.
People will be paying more and more attention to this.
I hear so much talk about reservoirs being empty but when a house burns down the pvc piping is going away and there would he infinite leaks causing a catastrophic failure in the water system. Or at least that is what I would think.
Both of you are right. Fire resistant roofs & building materials, multipaned windows, brush clearance directly around the house, all these things greatly increase the chances of a house surviving.
Interestingly enough, a lot of it comes down to luck.
Another thing that doesn’t hurt is government officials that are focused more on emergency services & filling emergency service leadership with the best qualified people instead of people that check off a box because they are lesbian or they had their dicks chopped off.
I'm not sure how much the quality of people matter when fighting fires. Either tehy do their job or they don't. For the most part these people should have prepared their homes. It sucks that you probably need to get rid of all the trees around your house but small price to pay for something that seems fairly inevitable now.
Everything seems so incredibly politicized. Republicans don't want to tax anyone to pay for anything and will also spend it on dumb shit when given the chance. So so tired of it all.
I remember years ago some big fire like this happened. One dude's house worked and it was some asian engineer who had the house built himself (or did it himself) Cinderblocks ftw.
Ultimate it is on people ot make sure their place is fireproofed. They know how these winds work. Blaming it all on the government is a fucking joke. No one wants to take responsibility. Like the level of fire protection to prevent this would have been so high it was not affordable. Perhaps it the government cut down the brush in people's YARDS but then we'd hear the right complaining about big government. People are too stupid all over. We're doomed.
Well enough of this from me. Bottom line is if you choose to live in California, be prepared to deal with earthquakes and I guess huge wind swept fires wiping out tens of thousands of homes. If you live in Florida, be prepared to deal with hurricanes every year. If you live in the plains in the middle of the country, be prepared to have your home blown away from tornados. If you live in New Orleans, be prepared for a once in a hundred year flood, every 5 years or so. And climate change IS making all these weather things worse. But you can choose to deny that as well if you want.
Makes living in the desert look not so bad. We have a little water shortage. But really not even....if California wasn't taking more than their share.
I still hope the Jewish looking guy that owns this forum, and his family are ok.
Quality of people may not matter in all professions, ie ditch digger, cashier, driver, but yes it sure as heck matters in fire & emergency services particularly the leadership positions which is what I was referring too.
Of course you can’t blame it all on the government & people have to take personal responsibility but the issue is taxes are extremely high in CA & one of the most basic and fundamental purposes of government is indeed fire protection.
So maybe less attention to things like hiring drag laureates & more attention to basic services like fire for the excessive amount of taxes.
Druff posted his power is back on. The only casualty was his refrigerator so he made out better than most in LA….so far.
All you needed was a garden hose.
This man saved his and some of his neighbors' homes.
The problem is that most people are Pussies in California.
Firefighters could have saved his neighborhood.
The Leaders in charge wanted the city to burn.
I secretly wanted the entire city to burn to the ground.

Not good.
Santa Ana winds predicted to kick up again this weekend and into next week.
New fires popping up, little containment.
Is the worst yet to come?
What a calamity.
Hey douchnozzles...let's avoid politicizing this one, OK? Yeah, I know, that's asking a lot.
I see some of LA celebs and big shots are coming out with broadcasted donations--not directly from themselves but from their companies, foundations, closets etc.
Typical snobby democrats, who BTW likely ALL voted the now-squirming California politicians into office. This is shameful. Where were these people when all the much poorer residents of NC etc. REALLY lost everything in the flooding? Oh--go back and listen to the Rogan interview of Trump during the campaign. The president warns Newsome and California officials that unless they ignore the stupid environmentalists and alarmist about the water flow and underlying dead vegetation, devastating wildfires are right around the corner. Good thing this guy will be leading our sad, pathetic country in just days.
Wait till they try to pull the permit to rebuild. It will take years. Environmental reviews, bureaucracy! The beach homeowners will be really screwed. Wait for the Coastal Commission to refuse them to rebuild on the beach. Lots of diehard blues will be turning red - physically and politically.
Who’s politicizing it?
If you pay some of the highest taxes in the world wouldn’t you expect basic competence on basic services regardless of anyone’s political affiliation?
But I do understand that when you take off your KKK hood and are not David Duking Tasha, that you are a pretty sensitive guy very concerned with social justice particularly around LGBTQ issues as long as they are not black LGBTQs.
The next California governor will be a republican, and will plow thru all the environmental alarmists' manmade climate change bullshit to make LA safe from this nonsense again. These wussified phonies and their global warming lies are all learning their lessons the hard way thru this one.
And it's a beautiful thing.....
Some PFA love

I'm waiting to see this die down and see if it is true how much FD money was given to random LGBQT causes. I read sometihng that was pretty crazy but there is a lot of faker news going around.
Outside of that I'm not sure why you think they're not having "basic competence". Where is the "dried vegetation". Thats the same lie referencing forest upkeep I've been hearing for a decade but applied to any fire. I think I heard this on a few years ago with Mickey. Then I did the math on the acreage and manpower required to clear out this undergrowth. It makes absolutely no sense for anyone who isn't an unthinking muppet and can apply math.
Trump just speaks with nonsense have no clue about so much. He has zero concern about lying. It is crazy. Not even worth discussing They're going hard at liberal California just like they always do. It is so easy to make up bullshit but the reality is fires like this are incredibly hard to maintain and the only way for government to have prevented them is by a level of governance that would be very onerous. I feel quite confident the same fucking thing would have happened with a Republican controlled fire department.
btw funny shots at mister v.
I know you get off trying to get under people's skin but I'll give you another chance to redeem yourself from me diagnosing you as having a bad case of the neggerbrains. What climate change policies are going on that enable the fire jumping around in neighborhoods?
Think hard. I suspect you actually believe this nonsense just like all the other halfwit rubbish you've written over the years.
No, AIQ, Singer is not in on the joke. He just is ...
Here’s the disconnect I think,
Very recently there has been a push in CA to clear brush and create defensible space around homes.
However as recently as 2023 there were also many cases of different types of vegetation and brush that was protected by environmental regulations or other regulations so some homeowners were either legally prevented from or actually faced large fines if they did clear this “protected brush”
So who’s right? The pussy grabbin’ facist racist insurrectionist Republicans? Or the child grooming, latte sipping, dick chopping, faggot libtard Democrats?
Well each side would have plenty of anecdotal things they could point to, but the bottom line is that the ones in charge own it.
When you’re the leaders it’s your responsibility whether you have good excuses or not.
My point was simply that if the leadership in CA had been more focused on fire prevention which is a known major threat there and less focused on social justice issues like introducing school books about two guys jerking each other off into grade school, there may have been a better outcome.
I don't care much at all for or about "social justice."
I defend KJ because I think he's what he says he is and not because he's gay.
As for me ragging and dragging Karen: it's all in good fun.
Hell, I like black folk; fact is I wish I owned a few, but alas those days are long gone.
Humans were slavers for centuries: what happened?
Yep, every American Region has their natural disasters to worry about. In one part of the Country you have wildfires to worry about. In one part of the Country you have tornadoes to worry about. In one part of the Country you have the dry monsoon to worry about. In one part of the Country you have volcano eruptions to worry about although that part of the country isn't TECHNICALLY connected to the rest of the United States. In one part of the Country you have hurricanes to worry about. In one part of the Country you have the wet monsoon to worry about. In one part of the country you have Blizzards and other snow problems to worry about. In one part of the Country you have earthquakes to worry about. And there are probably more natural disasters I haven't covered in this post.
You also missed the #1 cause of death of Black Youth in America. The ever dangerous “Turning their life around”. Every obituary of a 18-30 yo black shot contains the line from a family member “He was turning his life around when he was killed”. Obviously along with “no one saw nuffin”. Also in the Top 5 is the “He was going to back to school”, “He was going to be there for his son” and “he was going to get a job”. Note they never did, but were planning the changes. It’s clear just talking about these life changes is fatal in many cases.
The obvious takeaway is to continue to live the Thug life and not consider leaving it is the proper decision.
Rob Singer of African heritage, hating on his own people.
I guess I didn't make my racist, classist post clear enough: what I meant was that it would be interesting to be a slave owner in a world where that was the norm.Quote:

I feel sorry for black folk in the USA, they've gotten a raw deal having been enslaved for centuries and then being "freed" to try to live in a society where they're basically not encouraged to succeed and thrive by the majority.
Don't feel bad for all of them. The slave owners bred their Mandingos, which has led to the rest of us being lucky enuf to be entertained by the world's most amazing & outstanding athletes. Really, what would football and especially basketball be like without them?
Of course, they've basically also taken over our prisons, and what would Chicago look like without them?
One thing I find interesting is that the traditional view that white men enslaved the Africans but they were already mostly enslaved AFAIK. Americans just traded them with the Africans. (At least according to AI ;) ) Regardless - the ones who made it to America were not as quality as the ones who didn't. Some brutal truths not really told but even myself who is left on the dial somewhere feels these things should be taught alongside any white man blame. Also I wish we could just send back anyone who was complaining about their horrible situation in America. Ok, here's 100k now go back to Africa where the white man will not hold you down and you're back on equal footing. 100k is probably at least 5 years wages. The opportunity.
I feel this stuff should be taught alongside evil white man history. It just needs to be known.
How the slaves were treated is a completely different subject and I'm sure many white men had some inexcusable approaches to their management.
I still find misterv tedious and sad and look at my own levels of racism? I'd be completely shunned in most liberal circles.
Dumbest Shit I ever heard.
Give a person 100k to leave the country and eventually come back to America with said 100k.
And most likely bring 10 others with them.
They probably wouldn't even need to falsify their identity under your rules.
30 Trillion+ in debt and the taxpayers got to pay everyone 100k that wants to go back to their original country.
Fucking Dopeheads.
You do bring up a good point about slavery being used to demonize white people. All different races have owned slaves. It’s not solely a white issue.
Also at the peak of Slavery only around 1% of Americans owned slaves.
It was a much higher percentage in the South but still the vast majority of Southerners did not own slaves
Retard, you're actually bitter about people having a discussion on a forum of 10 users that you basically lurk on?
I'm sure you're killing it in life.
I guess you got Monet to backup though so like any basic pack animal you go in for the attack. Honestly Monet is such a muppet if his interpretation was that i wanted to give African-Americans 100k to go on a vacation given all the other context I posted. Yea, makes such sense, I'm a liberal and all that. Such fucking muppets.
If you actually had a family instead of making your life about lying on forums, you'd understand better.
How many kids do you know who enjoy having no internet these days?
Having internet during a power outage makes it more tolerable, especially if you've previously charged your devices (or have portable chargers), and just have connectivity. I also have a microcell device so I get a good signal on my cell phone during the outage.
This requires a power block to work. When it dies. I need to use my car to recharge it. Unfortunately I overdid it and drained my battery, so I had to jump it and then drive for 1-2 hours to restore the car battery. Oops.
Anyway, I have an outage again now, so this really sucks. I got a whopping 2.5 days with power before today's outage.
A little defensive there aren't you Druff? All I said was that I found it curious to relegate what limited power you had available to internet, social media and whatever other things your kid needs internet for, over say refrigeration which can help sustain life.
But you do what you feel are your priorities and that of your family, which I guess is internet. And I am still praying for you and your family and wishing you well through this tragedy.
Somehow I think we will be seeing one of these quotes hundreds of times in the future. Nothing like throwing fuel on the fire, pun intended.
You still haven’t answered why you don’t leave to go to a hotel inland. Crack open the Jew Wallet (your term) and get the hell out of there while power is an issue. And it appears more winds are coming so you’ll be dealing with it for a few more days.
I just got back from Palm Springs and there was a lot of evacuated people in town. My understanding was they were offering lower rates for the evacuees though I’m not sure what the qualifications were.
Palm Springs never had the power shut off but I was out by Joshua Tree National Park in 29 Palms 2 nights and it was cut off in the afternoon both days. With no restaurants open and no internet with shit cell service I know what you are talking about. The winds were intense last week so I understand the reasons, but it’s also another reason to get the hell out of there for a few days. I love visiting CA but would never live there.
Who cares Boz? I mean seriously do you care what that person posts at this point? At WoV he has posted that he has won nearly half a million dollars in 7 days play so far this year. And been comped on top and casinos personnel and pit love him and have never taken any counter measures against him.
That is as real as Singers Newell. :D And when two known real APs, axelwolf and Hunterhill dared say something, he cried to Wizard YET AGAIN, getting one of them suspended.
The guy is absolutely NOTHING but a troll at this point. That is all he really EVER was, but he has proven that miles beyond any doubt now.
So does his trolling or anything he says really mean anything to you Boz?
Kew has no family and never will. He only understands the wants and needs of sick queer people. He has taken such a severe pummeling here that he cannot recognize the first thing that's wrong with him.
Plus he's a proven compulsive liar--aka, the "king of lying"--who's forever jealous of those who actually win at gambling.
Period.
In the history of the world white slavery was multiple times more prevalent than black slavery. In the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries Arabs enslaved more european whites than the total number of black slaves in America.
Blacks were protected from slavery, except from by their own people, for thousands of years because of their isolation. Civilization is about 5000 years old. Euros enslaved their own for most all that time. The word "slave" comes from the slavic people who were picked on the most for slaves.
Euros didn't enslave Africans until the 15th century. So blacks actually escaped slavery by europeans for most of history. If you are white you definitely have slave ancestors.
