Why do reporters insist on standing in flood water? Nothing is more dangerous. Not only is there the danger of slipping and falling, but there is the danger of disease from flood water, and hazardous materials hidden by flood water.

If there is one lesson that anyone in a hurricane has ever learned it is not to go near flood water, yet, there the reporters stand... in flood water.

And if there is a wind blowing that threatens to blow the reporter away and into the flood water to drown, so much the better!
